Abstract: In various implementations, streams are sent and received by a computing device engaged in an authoring session with respect to an electronic document. The computing device stores the streams in multiple container files associated with an instance of the electronic document open on the computing device. The device maintains an indices file to reflect a presence of the streams in the container files, such that fast access can be provided to the streams at a later time. The indices file comprises multiple probabilistic data structures corresponding to the container files that each indicate on a probabilistic basis whether a given stream is present in a corresponding one of the container files. The computing device uses the indices file to retrieve the streams from the container files.
Abstract: A wireless power reception device and a wireless communication method thereby are provided. The wireless communication method by the wireless power reception device may comprise the steps of: receiving a wireless power signal from a wireless power transmission device; measuring the strength of the wireless power signal; modulating the amplitude of the wireless power signal according to the measured strength of the wireless power signal; and performing communication with the wireless power transmission device by using the signal having the amplitude modulated.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and one or more computer-readable media storing executable instructions for predicting trigger events, such as an advertisement during a video program, and activating a remote control device in response to the prediction are described. By activating the remote control device at a particular time, the remote control device may save energy when listening for data from one or more terminal devices. The time to activate the remote control may be based on one or more factors, including the current presentation position and/or presentation speed of the video program. A remote control device may take additional actions the next time it listens for data, including illuminating backlights, turning on a display, displaying content on the display, interacting with other devices, etc.
Abstract: A bone insert is provided that includes a cap having a convex top surface made from a plurality of cap micro struts, an elongated stem made from a plurality of stem micro struts, and a barrier between the cap and the stem. The stem of the bone insert is inserted into a hole formed in a host bone until the barrier is pressed against the exposed bone. The bone implant can be placed against a small focus contact point on the cap. Liquid cement can be injected into a large center hole in the cap and the cement can flow through the fenestrations between all of the cap micro struts as well as the space between the bone implant and the bone. The cement can cure to create a high strength structure that provides a strong bond between the bone implant and the host bone.
Abstract: A bicycle helmet that fits over a surface of a head of a user generally includes at least one segment of flexible cell structures that form a radial honeycomb matrix movable between a folded condition where each side of the at least one segment is disposed generally parallel and an expanded condition where the radial honeycomb matrix of the at least one segment is configured to be expanded at least partially over the head of the user and arranged radially relative to the surface of the head of the user.
Abstract: Lane level localization techniques for a vehicle utilize a plurality of perception sensor systems each configured to perceive a position of the vehicle relative to its environment, a map system configured to maintain map data that includes lane lines, and a controller configured to detect a position of the vehicle and a first set of lane lines using the plurality of perception sensors, detect a second set of lane lines using the position of the vehicle and the map data, obtain an aligned set of lane lines based on the first and second sets of lane lines, and use the aligned set of lane lines for an autonomous driving feature of the vehicle.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing data. The methods comprise by a computing system: generating publication identifiers and version values for source data to be stored into a data warehouse; causing a plurality of fact tables in the data warehouse to be populated with the source data and the publication identifiers; causing a publication table in the data warehouse to be updated to include the publication identifiers and the version values so as to be respectively associated with resource names; receiving a query for information directed to the plurality of fact tables; retrieving the publication identifiers from the publication table, in response to the query; and obtaining source data from each said fact table of the plurality of fact tables that is associated with publication identifiers that are stored in both the fact table and the publication table.
Abstract: A modular fuel cell includes a membrane electrode assembly interposed between a pair of bipolar plates, and the membrane electrode assembly has a total active area measured in an x-y plane that is generally perpendicular to the z-axis. Each bipolar plate includes a plurality of common passages extending generally parallel to the z-axis. The total active area of the membrane electrode assembly includes a plurality of base active areas arranged co-planar in the x-y plane along an x-axis.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for delivering a spatially enhanced live streaming experience for virtual reality or 360 degree live streaming of video is disclosed. A live streaming video signal is encoded into multiple streams at varying resolutions. A portion of the high resolution video stream, corresponding to a field of view within the entire 360 degree view, is merged with a low resolution video stream. The resulting video stream is referred to as a spatial adaptive video stream. Multiple spatial adaptive video streams are generated to provide a high resolution field of view across the entire 360 degrees. As the viewer looks in different directions, the video player plays back one of the spatial adaptive video streams according to the direction in which the viewer is looking.
Abstract: Systems and methods to asynchronously transfer user-provided information upon user-provided permissions are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may receive a user-initiated request for one or more webpages from a user associated with a client computing platform; transfer a set of information to the client computing platform, wherein the set of information is usable to generate one or more presentations of the one or more webpages on the client computing platform; receive, from the client computing platform, user-provided information, wherein the user-provided information is based on a first item of user-provided personal information and on a second item of user-provided personal information that have been collected locally through the one or more presentations on the client computing platform, and wherein server-side receipt of the user-provided information occurs subsequent to the user providing permission for the transfer of the user-provided information; and/or other steps.
Abstract: A wireless device may transmit a first message, for a random access procedure, including a contention resolution identifier of the wireless device. The wireless device may receive, via a first slot indicated by downlink control information (DCI), a first response of the first message. The first response may include the contention resolution identifier and indicate a slot offset and a start symbol. The wireless device may receive a second response of the first message from the start symbol of a second slot, wherein the second slot is based on a time offset and the slot offset with respect to the first slot.
