  • Patent number: 11682261
Abstract: Communication objects and closed electrical circuits are worn by players within a gaming player verification system. These objects may communicate with associated player tracking units attached to gaming machines and other devices via radio frequency waves, and each communication object is adapted to alter its communication pattern in response to any break of its closed electrical circuit. Removal of such an object from a player cannot be accomplished without breaking the closed electrical circuit contained therein, thereby disabling or de-authenticating the device. A communications object may emit a signal which can be tied to one of two or more player accounts. One of the two accounts may be charged for a player transaction depending on the nature of the transaction. A computer server having a player verification program and database may also be used.

  • Patent number: 11681047
Abstract: A system uses data captured by vehicle-mounted sensors to generate a view of a ground surface. The system does this by receiving digital image frames and associating a location and pose of the vehicle that captured the image with each digital image frame. The system will access a three dimensional (3D) ground surface estimation model of the ground surface, select a region of interest (ROI) of the ground surface, and select a vehicle pose. The system will identify digital image frames that are associated with the pose and also with a location that corresponds to the ROI. The system will generate a visual representation of the ground surface in the ROI by projecting ground data for the ROI from the ground surface estimation model to normalized 2D images that are created from the digital image frames. The system will save the visual representation to a two-dimensional grid.

  • Patent number: 11682752
Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device includes a junction or active layer between doped semiconductor layers coextensive over a contiguous device area, corresponding sets of electrical contacts connected to the semiconductor layers, and multiple nanostructured optical elements at a surface of one semiconductor layer opposite the other semiconductor layer. Composite electrical contacts of one set include a conductive layer, a transparent dielectric layer between the conductive and semiconductor layers, and vias through the dielectric layer connecting the conductive and semiconductor layers. The nanostructured elements redirect light, propagating laterally in optical modes supported by the semiconductor layers, to exit the device. The composite electrical contacts can be independent and define independently addressable pixel areas of the device. The nanostructured elements and thin semiconductor layers can yield high contrast between adjacent pixel areas without trenches between them.

  • Patent number: 11683737
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for signal offloading in an mmWave environment in the event of high fading. The methods and systems include one or more mmWave nodes that are each configured to wirelessly communicate with a user device in a geographic service area and a Wi-Fi access point configured to wirelessly communicate with the user device. The methods and systems determine that the user device has detected a fading measurement corresponding to an mmWave transmitted by one of the one or more mmWave nodes is above a threshold. In response to the fading measurement being above the threshold, the methods and systems redirect a control signal of the user device through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes. Accordingly, the user device transmit data through the Wi-Fi access point to the one or more mmWave nodes.

  • Patent number: 11679320
Abstract: The present steerable wheel assembly incorporates a lean-to-steer mechanism into an inner race of a roller bearing, while a wheel is mounted to an outer race of the roller bearing. A shaft extending from the mechanism is attached to a body, and the mechanism acts to steer the outer race and the wheel about a vertical steering axis when the shaft is tilted about a horizontal axis. The mechanism can be a pivot joint, providing a linear steering response, or can be a lean-to-steer mechanism that provides a non-linear response where the steering action is not proportionally responsive to tilting over the expected range of tilting.

  • Patent number: 11681766
Abstract: Devices often receive content items to be saved for later presentation to a user. In some instances, the content of the message is analyzed to retrieve supplemental information from external data sources, such as a map to a location discussed in a message. However, such supplementing often fails to reflect the personal context of the content item to the user, who may not easily recall the associated personal context when the content item is later presented. Instead, for a content item to be saved, a device may evaluate personal data sources to identify the personal context of the content item to the user, and add personal context annotations to a content item record of the saved content item. Later, during a presentation of the content item to the user, the personal context annotations may be included as a reflection of the personal context of the content item to the user.

  • Patent number: 11681920
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method and apparatus for compressing a deep learning model. An embodiment of the method includes: acquiring a to-be-compressed deep learning model; pruning each layer of weights of the to-be-compressed deep learning model in units of channels to obtain a compressed deep learning model; and sending the compressed deep learning model to a terminal device, so that the terminal device stores the compressed deep learning model. By pruning each layer of weights of the deep learning model in units of channels, the parameter redundancy of the deep learning model is effectively reduced, thereby improving the computational speed of the deep learning model and maintaining the model accuracy.

  • Patent number: 11681418
Abstract: When reviewing digital pathology tissue specimens, multiple slides may be created from thin, sequential slices of tissue. These slices may then be prepared with various stains and digitized to generate a Whole Slide Image (WSI). Review of multiple WSIs is challenging because of the lack of homogeneity across the images. In embodiments, to facilitate review, WSIs are aligned with a multi-resolution registration algorithm, normalized for improved processing, annotated by an expert user, and divided into image patches. The image patches may be used to train a Machine Learning model to identify features useful for detection and classification of regions of interest (ROIs) in images. The trained model may be applied to other images to detect and classify ROIs in the other images, which can aid in navigating the WSIs. When the resulting ROIs are presented to the user, the user may easily navigate and provide feedback through a display layer.

  • Patent number: 11681677
Abstract: A geographically diverse data storage system that can protect data via replication of data among relevant zones according to a determined replication topology is disclosed. The replication topology can be determined based on replication times between the relevant zones. In an aspect, a tree topology can provide advantages over a star topography. In an embodiment, a tree topology can be generated, or an existing topology can be modified, via selection of a next replication task(s) based on the replication times. In an aspect, the replication times can be determined from measurable characteristics of the geographically diverse data storage system. In some embodiments, the replications times can be based on historical measurements, time limited historical measurements, inferences from machine learning, etc. A determined topology can be ranked relative to other viable topologies based on criteria such as speed, monetary cost, computing resource usage, etc.
