Abstract: Method and apparatus for synchronizing and locking clocks identifies entangled pairs of photons by comparing a first and second list of measured state values of single photons, wherein the first list is compiled by photon arrival times measured using a first clock and the second list is compiled by photon arrival times measured using a second clock. Entangled pairs of photons are identified by a match of the measured state values of single photons in their respective lists. Elapsed times of the first and second clocks are determined by taking the difference between arrival times of respective identified entangled pairs of photons measured using their respective clocks. A rate of one of the first and second clocks is changed based on a difference between the elapsed times, thereby synchronizing the first and second clocks. Clocks are locked by repeating.

Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to providing a relaxation regimen to an occupant of a vehicle. In one example method, a processor evaluates a physiological condition of the occupant. The physiological condition can be a heart rate, hear-rate variability, a breathing rate, and/or a blood oxygen level. The processor also identifies an opportune time to offer the relaxation regimen. The relaxation regimen may be offered based on evaluating the physiological condition of the occupant and on identifying the opportune time. Furthermore, the relaxation regimen may be recommended based on the customer preference or usage patterns and the opportune time. The opportune time can be when the vehicle is moving in a cruising mode of operation, is in a stopped or parked state, or is moving in stop-and-go traffic, or location. In another example method, a processor may offer the relaxation regime based on a movement status of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230183454
Abstract: Described herein are electrical articles comprising a polyamide (PA). As explained in detail below, the polyamide (PA) is a semi-aromatic polyamide derived from the polycondensation of an aliphatic diamine, terephthalic acid, and a bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane or a cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid. It was surprisingly discovered that incorporation of the cycloaliphatic diamine bis(aminoalkyl)cyclohexane or the cycloaliphatic dicarboxylic acid cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid into the polyamide provided for polymer compositions (PC) having significantly improved comparative tracking index (“CTI”) retention after heat aging, relative to analogous polyamides derived from only the aliphatic diamine and terephthalic acid. Due at least in part to the improved CTI retention, the polyamides (PA) can be desirably incorporated into articles that, during use, are exposed to elevated temperatures and benefit from high CTI performance.
