Abstract: A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable, a coaxial connector, and a rear body. The coaxial cable includes: an inner conductor; a dielectric layer circumferentially surrounding the inner conductor; an outer conductor circumferentially surrounding the dielectric layer, the outer conductor having an inner surface and an outer surface; and a jacket circumferentially surrounding the outer conductor. The coaxial connector includes: an inner contact electrically connected with the inner conductor; an outer connector body spaced apart from and circumferentially surrounding the inner contact, the outer connector body including a first securing feature; and a dielectric spacer interposed between the inner contact and the outer body.
Abstract: A window treatment retention system may include a roller shade assembly and one or more retention brackets that at least partially enclose the roller shade assembly and do not interfere with operation of the roller shade assembly. The retention brackets may be configured to absorb an impact force associated with detachment of the roller shade assembly from a mounted position. The retention brackets may deflect upon absorbing the impact force, and may limit displacement of the detached roller shade assembly from the mounted position. The retention brackets may deflect such that the roller shade assembly does not pass through openings defined by the retention brackets. The retention brackets may deflect such that the width of at least one of the openings defined by the retention brackets does not expand beyond a distance that is equivalent to the diameter of a roller tube of the roller shade assembly.

Abstract: A suture construction and method for forming a suture construction is disclosed. The construction utilizes a suture having an enlarged central body portion defining a longitudinal passage. First and second ends of the suture are passed through first and second apertures associated with the longitudinal passage to form a pair of loops. Portions of the suture lay parallel to each other within the suture. Application of tension onto the suture construction causes constriction of the longitudinal passage, thus preventing relative motions of the captured portions of the suture.
Abstract: Classical and quantum computational systems and methods for principal component analysis of multi-dimensional datasets are presented. A dataset is encoded in a tensor of rank p, where p is a positive integer that may be greater than 2. The classical methods are based on linear algebra. The quantum methods achieve a quartic speedup while using exponentially smaller space than the fastest classical algorithm, and a super-polynomial speedup over classical algorithms that use only polynomial space. In particular, an improved threshold for recovery is achieved. The presented classical and quantum methods work for both even and odd ranked tensors. Accordingly, quantum computation may be applied to large-scale inference problems, e.g., machine learning applications or other applications that involve highly-dimensional datasets.
Abstract: Systems and methods of the disclosure relate to selecting content using beacon identifiers. An indication of a location of a user device and a beacon identifier are received. The beacon identifier can correspond to a beacon at a retail location. A data structure storing attribute data associated with the beacon identifier can be accessed. The attribute data can be associated with a signal having a unique identifier of the user device. The signal can indicate the retail location having the beacon. A request for content for display on the user device can be received. A content item can be selected for display on the user device based on the attribute data. A reward value can be determined based on receiving an indication of user interaction with the content item and the attribute data used to select the content item.
Abstract: Microporous polymer films and methods of making same are disclosed. The microporous polymer film comprises: (a) 50 to 95 weight percent of polypropylene copolymer comprising (i) polypropylene homopolymer chain segments in total amount of from 50-82 wt. %, and (ii) ethylene-containing copolymer chain segments in total amount of from 18-50 wt. %; wherein at least a portion of the ethylene-containing copolymer chain segments comprise polymerized units of ethylene in an amount of at least 45 wt. % of the ethylene-containing copolymer chain segments; and (b) 5 to 50 weight percent of ethylene-propylene elastomer, wherein at least 45 weight percent of the polymerized units in the ethylene-propylene elastomer are units of ethylene.

Abstract: Some variations provide an anisotropic thermally conductive polymer composition comprising a plurality of polarizable, thermotropic main-chain liquid-crystal polymer molecules with crystalline domains. A method of making an anisotropic thermally conductive polymer composition comprises: synthesizing or obtaining a polymer containing polarizable domains; heating the polymer to form a polymer melt; cooling the polymer melt to form a thermotropic liquid-crystal polymer; exposing the thermotropic liquid-crystal polymer to an electrical field, thereby aligning the polarizable domains along a crystal axis; and recovering the thermotropic liquid-crystal polymer as an anisotropic thermally conductive polymer composition.
