    Abstract: Implementations disclosed and claimed herein provide a wheel cover system. In one implementation, an inward force exerted against a wheel cover of the wheel cover assembly in an inward direction towards the hub is received. The inward force overcomes a spring bias of a spring of the receiver and translates the wheel cover assembly in the inward direction. A first rotational force rotating the wheel cover assembly in a first direction is received. The first post guides and engages the first hook, and the second post guides and engages the second hook during rotation. A first positive feedback is generated in response to the inward force and the first rotational force. The wheel cover assembly is releasably locked to the receiver by translating the wheel cover assembly in the outward direction using an outward force generated by the spring bias. The outward force provides a second positive feedback.

    Abstract: Agricultural feed stock is heat treated to form a heat-treated biomass for industrial use as an alternative replacement of conventional additives and fillers. The agricultural feedstock is selected from the group consisting of biomass sorghum, wood, nut sells, soybean hulls, and a combination thereof. The heat-treated biomass is made into fine particles and used as fillers or additives to be combined with plastic to create a polymeric composite with high heat deflection, good mechanical, and superior barrier properties. The polymeric composite provides an alternative to conventional polymeric composites which contain virgin plastic materials and industrial additives, fillers, and colorants. Incorporation of heat-treated biomass into recycled or reclaimed plastic provides improvement to diminished properties of these materials.

    Abstract: An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system. A height of a hembar may be adjusted by rotating a rod within the hembar.

    Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement a smart-device-based radar system capable of performing near-range detection. The radar system employs a near-range detection module for detecting objects at near ranges in the presence of interference and a far-range detection module for detecting objects at far ranges. By evaluating separate range intervals, these modules can be designed to achieve a target false-alarm rate and detection performance by tailoring their processing to general characteristics of objects and interference at their respective range intervals. This enables the near-range detection module to detect a near-range object without generating a false detection associated with the interference. By utilizing the near-range detection module and the far-range detection module, the radar system can detect objects at both near and far ranges while achieving a target false-alarm rate.
