  • Patent number: 12302016
Abstract: An image sensor configured to capture imagery with mitigated noise includes a plurality of image sensing pixels arranged to form a sensor array. Each image sensing pixel of the plurality of image sensing pixels comprises an active area configured to receive photons to facilitate image capture. Each active area comprises a length and a width. For at least one image sensing pixel of the plurality of image sensing pixels, the length or the width of the active area is smaller than about 80% of a pixel pitch measurement between the at least one image sensing pixel and an adjacent image sensing pixel. A size of the active area relative to the pixel pitch measurement contributes to mitigating sensor noise for the image sensor.

  • Patent number: 12298774
Abstract: A computer generates historical time and velocity data for vehicles based on data from sensor(s) observing the vehicles. The computer determines, based on the historical time and velocity data, a control policy that controls movement of the vehicles. The control policy is represented as a weighted combination of a set of predefined policies. Determining the control policy comprises calculating weights or parameters for a weighted combination of the set of predefined policies that minimizes a residual error term. The residual error term is computed based on a difference between the historical time and velocity data and predicted time and velocity data associated with the weighted combination of the set of predefined policies. The computer determines an action plan based on the determined nonlinear control policy. The computer transmits, to a machine, a control signal causing the machine to perform or simulate at least a part of the determined action plan.

  • Patent number: 12301434
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for routing event data from cloud-based sources to various service providers without using a permanently dedicated server (or similar solution). The solution disclosed herein is source agnostic, meaning that the data being received can be from any provider of cloud-based data, with the data received being in a format specific to the given provider. The system can normalize the data from the respective sources into a common format based on properties on the data and, based on the normalized data, identify what type of analysis, process, or other service should be executed on data received. The system can then forward the data to respective service providers for the execution of those services.

  • Patent number: 12301377
Abstract: A computing system fits a long-term utilization line through aggregate utilization values that correspond to ones of a plurality of intervals over a time period. The computing system determines, for each respective interval of/ordinal intervals in each second time period within the time period, a mean residual value based on a difference between a utilization value identified on the long-term utilization line at the respective interval and an actual aggregate utilization value at a same ordinal interval in each second time period. An aggregate probability value, based in part on a probability that a cable modem of a plurality of cable modems can obtain at one or more intervals a maximum bandwidth allocated to the cable modem, is determined, and in response to determining that the aggregate probability value is a non-preferred value, an alert, indicating that the service group is overutilized, is sent.

  • Patent number: 12301814
Abstract: Techniques and tools for encoding enhancement layer video with quantization that varies spatially and/or between color channels are presented, along with corresponding decoding techniques and tools. For example, an encoding tool determines whether quantization varies spatially over a picture, and the tool also determines whether quantization varies between color channels in the picture. The tool signals quantization parameters for macroblocks in the picture in an encoded bit stream. In some implementations, to signal the quantization parameters, the tool predicts the quantization parameters, and the quantization parameters are signaled with reference to the predicted quantization parameters. A decoding tool receives the encoded bit stream, predicts the quantization parameters, and uses the signaled information to determine the quantization parameters for the macroblocks of the enhancement layer video. The decoding tool performs inverse quantization that can vary spatially and/or between color channels.

  • Patent number: 12301637
Abstract: Various embodiments comprise a wireless communication network to inhibit multimedia session drop. In some examples, the wireless communication network comprises Call Session Control Function (CSCF) circuitry. The CSCF circuitry receives a multimedia registration request from a user device that comprises a registration timer indication. The CSCF circuitry registers the user device for multimedia services and sets a registration timer based on the registration timer indication. The CSCF circuitry receives a multimedia session request from the user device and establishes a multimedia session based on the session request. The CSCF circuitry determines when the registration timer expires and when the multimedia session is active. When the registration timer expires and the multimedia session is active, the CSCF circuitry maintains the registration of the user device. When the registration timer expires and the multimedia session is inactive, the CSCF circuitry deregisters the user device.
