Abstract: Described herein are platforms, systems, media, and methods for providing golf swing analysis and coaching by receiving a video of an individual performing a golf swing; applying an image processing algorithm to identify a plurality of body nodes of the individual in a plurality of frames of the video and generate a virtual skeleton by connecting the plurality of body nodes in the plurality of frames of the video; identifying a plurality of key frames of the video; applying at least one mathematical swing flaw evaluation to each key frame of the video to identify any swing flaws of the individual; generating a swing score for the individual; and providing access to one or more training modules based at least on any swing flaws of the individual identified and the swing score for the individual.

Abstract: A UV sanitizing device including a sanitizing interface having a top surface arranged to support a device positioned above the sanitizing interface where the sanitizing interface includes a translucent material arranged to allow UV light to pass through An adjustable UV emission interface, positioned adjacent to the sanitizing interface, arranged to adjustably conform to the shape of a device facing the sanitizing interface, and arranged to emit the UV light toward the sanitizing interface in the shape of the device. The adjustable UV emission interface includes UV emission interface cells such that, when a first portion of the UV emission interface cells is activated and a second portion of the UV emission interface cells is deactivated, the UV emission interface conforms to the shape of the device. Each cell of UV emission interface cells includes a sensor arranged to detect a portion of the device facing the sanitizing interface.

Abstract: An assembly for an engine includes a control module including a controller operable to control at least certain aspects of the operation of the engine, a display including an input connected to the controller, and a wireless receiver connected to the controller. The wireless receiver is arranged to receive a signal from a wireless device to cause the controller to send an engine start signal to cause starting of the engine and wherein the input when actuated causes the controller to send an engine start signal to cause starting of the engine. In at least some implementations, no keyed ignition switch is provided to start the engine and the engine is started only via the wireless device or the input.

Abstract: A system and method for identifying a viable channel within an allocated downstream spectrum and establishing communication via a modem thereon. The disclosed technology provides for the broadband analysis of some or all of the available downstream spectrum to obtain a mapping of available channels and directing the modem to establish downstream communication upon at least one of these channels. The system includes an interface via which a user can specify parameters governing the analysis of the available downstream spectrum and the identification of a viable downstream channel.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for storing data, including: storing data in a first node, the first node being selected from a first node set including a first edge node and child nodes thereof; selecting, from a second node set including a second edge node and child nodes thereof, a second node for storing the data, the first edge node being a child node of the second edge node; and storing the data in the second node. The present disclosure further provides a method for searching for data. The present disclosure can reduce the time for searching for data in a distributed storage system.

Abstract: A charge system for a vehicle includes a traction battery and a controller. The controller, responsive to passage of a predetermined period of time following activation of the vehicle without detecting a wake up signal, sets a diagnostic flag. The controller further, responsive to deactivation of the vehicle, presence of the diagnostic flag, and presence of a request designating a future start time for a charge event of the traction battery, initiates the charge event regardless of the future start time. The controller may further, responsive to deactivation of the vehicle, absence of the diagnostic flag, and presence of the request designating the future start time for the charge event of the traction battery, inhibit start of the charge event until the future start time.

Abstract: Various disclosed embodiments include illustrative devices, systems, and methods for analyzing occupancy detection sensors. In an illustrative embodiment, a device includes a processor and a memory configured to store computer-executable instructions. The instructions are configured to cause the processor to receive an environmental value, send instructions to apply increasing forces to a seat portion of a seat, magnitude of sequential ones of the forces increasing over time, receive applied force values from a force applicator, receive a seat occupied signal from a seat sensor, record the applied force value associated with the applied force values in response to receiving the seat occupied signal, compare the recorded force value with a threshold force value associated with the received environmental value, and output a signal in response to the comparison.

Abstract: A two-speed electric drive assembly for vehicles includes a main driveshaft driven by a first axial flux motor where the main driveshaft extends coaxially through a hollow assist driveshaft driven by a second axial flux motor. The main driveshaft includes a main gear that is continuously meshed with an intermediate gear on an intermediate driveshaft. A freewheel gear is mounted around the hollow assist driveshaft and can be selectively coupled and decoupled with the hollow assist driveshaft by a shift mechanism. The freewheel gear is continuously meshed with an intermediate gear on the intermediate driveshaft. Another intermediate gear affixed to the intermediate driveshaft is continuously meshed with an output gear affixed to an output driveshaft. The two-speed electric drive assembly can selectively switch between speed mode and torque mode without torque interrupt.

Abstract: A packet-filtering system described herein may be configured to filter packets with encrypted hostnames in accordance with one or packet-filtering rules. The packet-filtering system may resolve a plaintext hostname from ciphertext comprising an encrypted Server Name Indication (eSNI) value. The packet-filtering system may resolve the plaintext hostname using a plurality of techniques. Once the plaintext hostname is resolved, the packet-filtering system may then use the plaintext hostname to determine whether the packets are associated with one or more threat indicators. If the packet-filtering system determines that the packets are associated with one or more threat indicators, the packet-filtering system may apply a packet filtering operation associated with the packet-filtering rules to the packets.

Abstract: A system is described that infers that a user will need to complete a trip and selects a transportation service that the user can use to complete the trip. The system predicts a time to request a vehicle associated with the transportation service for completing the trip such that the request has sufficiently high degree of likelihood, of causing the vehicle to arrive at a future location by a final departure time; the final departure time being a latest time at which the user is predicted to need to begin traveling. Responsive to determining that a current time is within a threshold amount of time of the predicted time, the system sends, to a reservation system associated with the transportation service, a reservation request for the vehicle associated with the transportation service for completing the trip.

Abstract: Technologies are described for verifying the integrity of data transmitted between a firmware and a baseboard management controller (“BMC”). During a first verification phase, a data integrity tool compares system inventory data provided by firmware protocols to a system inventory module to system inventory data in a device instance format. During a second verification phase, the data integrity tool verifies operation of a firmware conversion module by comparing the system inventory data in the device instance format to the system inventory data in a JavaScript Object Notation (“JSON”) format. During a third verification phase, the data integrity tool retrieves the system inventory data from a management server and compares the system inventory data retrieved from the management server to the system inventory data previously transmitted to the management server. Identified discrepancies can be utilized to modify the system inventory module, the firmware conversion module, or the management server.

Abstract: Color changing systems include a color changing article or device that includes a color, text, and pattern changing hardware. Smart devices or other standalone controllers provide software instructions to the color changing hardware to produce colors, patterns, and text which appear on the articles or devices. A software app running on the smart device or standalone controller initiates a method of changing colors, text, and patterns of apparel, devices, hard goods, and accessories. The color changing systems include fabrics and other materials including LEDs, LED fiber optic fabrics, electroluminescence (EL), bioluminescence, electrochromatics, E-ink, OLED, light guides, printed nano LEDs, photonic ink, and other materials. The systems selectively apply an analog voltage or data stream to the output material to produce an article with a selected color, text, or pattern. A camera or color detector can be used to select colors for display.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method, device and computer program product for managing jobs in a processing system. The processing system comprises multiple client devices. In the method, based on a group of jobs from the multiple client devices, a current workload of the group of jobs is determined. A group of job descriptions associated with the group of jobs is determined based on configuration information of various jobs in the group of jobs. A future workload associated with the group of jobs is determined based on associations, comprised in a workload model, between job descriptions and future workloads associated with the job descriptions. The group of jobs in the processing system are managed based on the current workload and the future workload. With the foregoing example implementation, jobs in the processing system may be managed more effectively, and latency in processing jobs may be reduced.

Abstract: A pollinating device for pollinating crop plants includes a base mountable on a carriage. At least one pollination unit is mounted on the base and includes a pollen-releasing apparatus configured to release pollen from male flowers of the plants and at least one nozzle for directing fluid along a flow path for delivering at least some of the released pollen to the pollen-receiving rows of crop plants. Certain pollinating devices include multiple pollination units spaced apart along a width of the base. Some pollination units include at least two opposing nozzles. Plants are pollinated by driving the carriage along a field and directing air from the nozzles over the pollen born by some plants to deliver the pollen to female flowers of other plants in the field.
