Abstract: A methodology for establishing a frequency for reviewing of a map segment, in which encounters by a vehicle with a map error in the map segment are detected using at least one detector, is described. A method includes determining a time to next encounter (TTNE) for the map segment, the TTNE comprising a time until a next encounter with the map segment is expected to occur for a targeted quartile; determining a recall rate for the at least one detector, wherein the recall rate comprises a percentage of total encounters with the map error that are accurately detected by the at least one detector; and establishing a review frequency for the map segment based on the TTNE and the recall rate. A review ticket requiring manual review of the map segment is scheduled to be issued in accordance with the established review frequency.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for training a neural network accelerator using quantized precision data formats are disclosed, and in particular for storing activation values from a neural network in a compressed format having lossy or non-uniform mantissas for use during forward and backward propagation training of the neural network. In certain examples of the disclosed technology, a computing system includes processors, memory, and a compressor in communication with the memory. The computing system is configured to perform forward propagation for a layer of a neural network to produced first activation values in a first block floating-point format. In some examples, activation values generated by forward propagation are converted by the compressor to a second block floating-point format having a non-uniform and/or lossy mantissa. The compressed activation values are stored in the memory, where they can be retrieved for use during back propagation.

Abstract: A dual-factor PIN based authentication system and method uses a cryptogram provided by a contactless card associated with the client in association with a PIN stored by the contactless card to authenticate the client. In some embodiments, cryptogram authentication may be preconditioned upon a PIN match determination by the contactless card. In other embodiments, the cryptogram may be formed at least in part using the personal identification number (PIN) stored on the contactless card encoded using a dynamic key stored by the contactless card and uniquely associated with the client. Authentication may be achieved by comparing the cryptogram formed using the PIN against an expected cryptogram generated an expected PIN and an expected dynamic key.

Abstract: An ambulatory protective device is configured to be worn on a person’s foot who has a foot condition, such as a diabetic foot condition. The ambulatory protective device includes an insole which has viscoelastic inserts located and otherwise disposed relative to non-viscous polymeric foam strata to create zones or areas on the insole characterized by reduced force or contact pressure when subjected to forces from the foot during ambulation when the ambulatory protective device is worn. Such contact-pressure reducing areas are located in the heel area and the forefoot area of the device. Abstract: To meet the stringent 5G radio access network (RAN) service requirements, layers one and two need to be processed in essentially real time. Thus, prompt anomaly detection is important to prevent negative impacts on customer experience, which is critical for mobile networks to meet the stringent service requirements. However, monitoring networks for anomalies is difficult due at least to (1) the resource constrained edge deployments in which the vRAN resides, (2) the variety of anomaly types and fault locations making anomalies difficult to detect, and (3) the low frequency of anomalies leading to unbalanced data sets for training, among others. The present application addresses these issues by decoupling anomaly detection at the infrastructure layer (servers, NICs, switches, etc.) from anomaly detection at the VNF layer (L1, high-DU, CU). This enables different techniques for identifying anomalies and for reducing the monitoring overhead that is tailored to each layer.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a sensitive data management system is configured to remove sensitive data after a period of non-use. Credentials used to access remote systems and/or third-party systems are stored with metadata that is updated with each use of the credentials. After a period of non-use, determined based on credential metadata, the credentials are deleted. Personal data retrieved to process a consumer request is stored with metadata that is updated with each use of the personal data. After a period of non-use, determined based on personal data metadata, the personal data is deleted. The personal data is also deleted if the system determines that the process or system that caused the personal data to be retrieved is no longer in use. An encrypted version of personal data may be stored for later use in verifying proper consumer request fulfillment.
