Abstract: A drive shaft assembly for a down hole drilling motor is provided. The drive shaft assembly includes a drive shaft having a first end portion engaging a first housing and a second end portion, engaging a second housing. The first end portion and the first housing form the first constant velocity joint and the second end portion and the second housing form the second constant velocity joint of the drive shaft assembly. Each end portion including a base surface having a pair of prongs extending away from the base surface and a cylindrical side wall having a plurality of ball bearings held in a plurality of circumferentially spaced pockets. Each housing includes a cavity to retain respective end portions of the drive shaft. An inner side wall of each housing includes a plurality of cylindrical grooves to receive the plurality of ball bearings to transfer torque.

Abstract: An image including a vehicle seat and a seatbelt webbing for the vehicle seat is obtained. The image is input to a neural network trained to, upon determining a presence of an occupant in the vehicle seat, output a physical state of the occupant and a seatbelt webbing state. Respective classifications for the physical state and the seatbelt webbing state are determined. The classifications are one of preferred or nonpreferred. A vehicle component is actuated based on the classification for at least one of the physical state of the occupant or the seatbelt webbing state being nonpreferred.

Abstract: A device including: a body having one or more walls defining an internal cavity, the wall(s) having one or more grooves extending in a longitudinal direction of the internal cavity and extending at least partially along a periphery of the wall(s); a mass movable in the longitudinal direction within the internal cavity, the mass having one or more holes extending in a direction offset from the longitudinal direction; a ball partially disposed in the groove(s) and partially disposed in each hole(s); and an elastic material for biasing the ball towards the groove(s). The groove(s) having a shape such that the acceleration greater than a predetermined acceleration profile causes the ball to first move opposite to the direction of the acceleration and then bounce to move in the direction of the acceleration until the ball(s) moves into the hole(s) to free the mass to move longitudinally opposite to the acceleration.

Abstract: A vehicle, electric machine, and method of manufacturing an electric machine include a stator having teeth extending from a yoke portion toward a rotor and defining slots between adjacent teeth with windings positioned within the slots, wherein the slots are coated with an electrically insulating material having an arcuate surface exiting the slots and extending at least partially over the teeth on at least one end face of the stator to form a winding guide for bending/positioning the windings. The winding guide may be formed by a molded epoxy that replaces insulating paper slot liners while providing a template for forming the hairpin bends of end windings.

Abstract: A system for emergency shutdown of an electric aircraft port in response to a disconnection is presented. The system includes a computing device, wherein the computing device is configured to receive a sensor datum from a sensor, determine a disruption element between a charging connector and an electric aircraft port as a function of the sensor datum, and initiate a disconnection protocol as a function of the disruption element.

Abstract: A platoon of electric pallets (e-pallets) includes a follower e-pallet connected to or in wireless communication with a leader e-pallet. The platoon also includes a sensor suite, road wheels, an electric powertrain system, and a local controller. The sensor suite includes a velocity sensor configured to measure a velocity of the follower e-pallet, an angle sensor configured to measure an azimuth angle between the follower and leader e-pallets, and a length or distance sensor configured to measure a distance therebetween. The local controller executes a method to adaptively move a variable target point (VTP) on the leader pallet in response to the velocity, the azimuth angle, and the length, and to thereafter control a dynamic output state of the electric powertrain system using the VTP.

Abstract: A method of preparing rumen-protected lipid-soluble nutritional supplements for use in ruminant feeds by inducing the Maillard reaction between a reducing carbohydrate source and de-oiled lecithin in the presence of a lipid-soluble fraction containing one or more lipid-soluble nutritional supplement compounds under reduced pressure conditions. Lipid-soluble nutritional supplement compounds may include lipid-soluble nutraceuticals such as essential oils. The lipid-soluble fraction may further include Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (PUFAs). Products made by the process, as well as methods for enhancing performance, assisting the induction of pregnancy, alleviating inflammation, modulating fetus growth, improving immune system function, and modulation of the fatty acid composition of meat and milk of ruminant animals are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for building contextual transcripts. A computing system may receive a textual transcript of a meeting that contains a variety of statements made by various attendees of the meeting, select the first statement made during the meeting, and determine which meeting attendee made the statement. A machine learning model corresponding to the particular attendee that has been trained using previously received statements by the particular attendee may be used on the utterance to determine the tone of the utterance. That tone may be recorded within the transcript and this process may be repeated for each utterance to build a contextual transcript.
