Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a sequence of acoustic frames as input to an automatic speech recognition (ASR) model. Here, the ASR model includes a causal encoder and a decoder. The method also includes generating, by the causal encoder, a first higher order feature representation for a corresponding acoustic frame in the sequence of acoustic frames. The method also includes generating, by the decoder, a first probability distribution over possible speech recognition hypotheses. Here, the causal encoder includes a stack of causal encoder layers each including a Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) Attention-Performer module that applies linear attention.

Abstract: Embodiments of this disclosure are directed to ethylene-based polymers. The ethylene-based polymer are polymerized units derived from ethylene, diene, and optionally, one or more C3-C12 ?-olefins. The ethylene-based polymer includes a melt viscosity ratio (V0.1/V100) at 190 C greater than 20. The V0.1 is the viscosity of the ethylene-based polymer at 190 C at a frequency of 0.1 radians/second, and the V100 is the viscosity of the ethylene-based polymer at 190 C at a frequency of 100 radians/second. Additionally, the ethylene-based polymer includes an average g greater than 0.86, where the average g? is an intrinsic viscosity ratio determined by gel permeation chromatography using a triple detector.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a computer implemented method receives flow data for one or more flows that correspond to a device-circuit pair. The method calculates a time difference for each flow that corresponds to a device-circuit pair. Based on the calculated time differences and the received flow data, the method updates a probability distribution model associated with the device-circuit pair. Then, the method determines whether a time bucket is complete or open based on the updated probability distribution model.

Abstract: Methods and systems for adjusting formulation of pigments for dye sublimation are disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving, by a processor, a selection of the substrate and the image to be dye sublimated into the substrate. The method also includes determining, by the processor, an amount of each pigment of sublimation ink to be used to print the image on a sheet based on a characteristic of the substrate. The method further includes printing, by a dye sublimation apparatus, the image on the sheet using the amount of each pigment of sublimation ink and infusing, by the dye sublimation apparatus, the image from the sheet into the substrate.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that implement face authentication anti-spoofing using ultrasound. In particular, a face-authentication system uses ultrasound to distinguish between a real human face and a presentation attack that uses instruments to present a version of a human face. The face-authentication system includes or communicates with an ultrasonic sensor, which can detect a presentation attack and notify the face-authentication system. In general, the ultrasonic sensor uses power-spectra to evaluate an amount of variance observed over time within at least one receive channel. In this way, the ultrasonic sensor can prevent unauthorized actors from using the presentation attack to gain access to a user's account or information.

Abstract: A resin system and methods of making resin system wherein lignosulfonate is added to urea-formaldehyde and melamine-urea-formaldehyde adhesives. Lignosulfonate is added to the resins which improves the performance characteristics of the adhesive while reducing environmental impact by consuming byproducts from other industrial processes. The resin system includes a urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin or melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF), prepared in at least two stages wherein the UF resin or MUF resin has a molar ratio (MR) of total moles formaldehyde to total moles urea plus, if present, the one or more melamine compounds of from about 0.25:1 to about 2.50:1, and wherein one or more lignosulfonate compounds are included in an amount of from about 0.1-30 wt. %, based on a total weight of the resin system, and wherein the resin system has a buffer capacity of 2-400 mL of 0.1 N HCl by the ATV Method for a period of time of at least about 20 days at 25° C.
