Abstract: A waste service management system, method, and computer program product improve waste services by responding to air quality that is outside and inside a waste service vehicle. A controller monitors at least one exterior air quality sensor that is mounted to, and exposed to air exterior to, the waste service vehicle. The controller monitors at least one interior air quality sensor that is mounted to the waste service vehicle and exposed to air interior to a waste hauling body that is one of carried and attached to the waste service vehicle. The controller compares measurement levels of exterior and interior airborne chemical constituents to one or more corresponding air quality thresholds. The controller presents a notification on a user interface device indicating any exceedance of the air quality threshold and an associated origin of one of the exterior air and the interior air.
Abstract: A trailer sideswipe avoidance system for a vehicle towing a trailer is disclosed. The trailer sideswipe avoidance system includes a sensor system configured to detect objects in an operating environment of the vehicle. The trailer sideswipe avoidance system may include a controller that processes information received from the sensor system to determine whether the object detected in the operating environment of the vehicle is in the travel path of the towed trailer. A visual display displays a trailer collision alert zone and a trailer collision avoidance zone. The position of the trailer collision avoidance zone on the visual display relative to the position of the trailer collision alert zone on the visual display directionally corresponds with a collision avoidance steering angle of the vehicle relative to a current steering angle of the vehicle when the controller determines that the object is in the travel path of the towed trailer.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for future event recommendation are provided. For example, messages of a user account of a user are parsed to identify messages corresponding to events attended by the user. Event features are extracted from the messages, where an event feature is descriptive of an aspect of an event. An event database of future events is queried using the event features to identify future events having one or more of the event features. A description of the future events is constructed and provided to the user.
Abstract: Molded polymer foam articles are described as having a novel a foam structure. The polymer foam articles include a continuous polymer matrix defining a plurality of pneumatoceles therein which is present throughout the entirety of the article, including in the surface region extending 500 microns beneath the surface of the article. The surface region is further characterized as having compressed pneumatoceles. The novel foam structure is achieved even when molding polymer foam articles comprising a thickness of more than 2 cm, a volume of more than 1000 cm3; or both a volume of more than 1000 cm3 and a thickness of more than 2 cm. Methods of making the molded polymer foam articles are also described.

Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for controlling emissions and a likelihood of engine knock during combustion in a multi-fuel engine. A method for an engine includes mixing an amount of a first fuel and an amount of a second fuel to combust a fuel mixture having a fuel ratio of the first fuel relative to the second fuel, the first fuel having a faster combustion flame speed relative to the second fuel, the fuel mixture having an air-to-fuel ratio with an amount of air delivered to the engine. The method further includes controlling either or both of a speed of combustion and a stability of combustion of the fuel mixture with the amount of air delivered to the engine by changing at least one of the fuel ratio, the air-to-fuel ratio, or both of the fuel ratio and the air-to-fuel ratio.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods related to systems and methods of target wake time for peer-to-peer communication. In one aspect, a first wireless communication devices configures a subfield indicating use of peer-to-peer communication during a service period of a restricted target wake time. The first wireless communication device sends a message including the subfield to a second wireless communication device.
Abstract: The present technology includes systems and methods for invasively adjusting implantable devices for selectively controlling fluid flow between a first body region and a second body region of a patient. For example, in many of the embodiments described herein, a catheter can be used to mechanically and/or electrically engage an implanted medical device. Once the catheter engages the medical device, the catheter can (i) increase a dimension associated with the medical device, such as through mechanical expansion forces, and/or (ii) decrease a dimension associated with the medical device, such as by heating a shape memory component of the medical device above a phase transition temperature.

Abstract: Various arrangements for monitoring and enforcing multi-tier throughput assignments in a network, such as satellite-based communication network, are presented. Throughput usage may be monitored on a beam-level, satellite-level, gateway-level, and system level. Throughput usage for individual satellite terminals may be aggregated and used to determine the throughput usage on an entity-by-entity basis. An entity can have one or more sub-entities to which throughput is allocated. Excessive throughput usage for higher-tier entities can result in throughput being restricted for satellite terminals associated with lower-tier entities.
