Abstract: Systems and methods for speech recognition correction include receiving a voice recognition input from an individual user and using a trained error correction model to add a new alternative result to a results list based on the received voice input processed by a voice recognition system. The error correction model is trained using contextual information corresponding to the individual user. The contextual information comprises a plurality of historical user correction logs, a plurality of personal class definitions, and an application context. A re-ranker re-ranks the results list with the new alternative result and a top result from the re-ranked results list is output.

Abstract: Enclosed are embodiments of motion control operations in various traffic scenarios in consideration of the kinematic factor for trajectory planning. In some embodiments, a method includes: determining a danger rating for at least one object identified in an environment, wherein the danger rating represents a perceived risk associated with a respective object; evaluating a set of hierarchical factors with respect to a traffic scenario, wherein a metric is derived for trajectories of the traffic scenario that quantifies passenger ride comfort based on the danger rating and the set of hierarchical factors; determining a motion control operation in the traffic scenario to increase the passenger ride comfort based on the metric; and augmenting a route planner of an autonomous vehicle with motion control operations in different traffic scenarios to increase the passenger ride comfort.
Abstract: The invention relates to a tote-dolly system is configured to enable quick detachable attachment of the tote to the dolly. An exemplary tote has one or more tote-fasteners that can be quickly engaged with corresponding dolly-fasteners. An exemplary fastener may be a buckle having a clip and receiver that is quickly engaged. A preferred fastener is a hook-and-loop fastener configured on the top of the dolly and on the bottom of the tote. It may be preferred to have one of the tote-dolly components have discrete pieces of hook-and-loop fastener to facilitate detachment of the components.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a graded-index polymer optical fibre comprises preparing a cladding composition, the cladding composition comprising either a mixture of a cladding polymer and a dopant or a mixture of a cladding polymer precursor and a dopant; forming cladding from the cladding composition around a core, the core comprising a core polymer; and causing diffusion of the dopant into the core such that the dopant has a continuous concentration gradient, according to which concentration gradient the concentration of the dopant increases with radial distance from a centre of the core. The dopant is a compound having a refractive index which is lower than a refractive index of the core polymer. By distributing the dopant such that the dopant concentration is lowest at the centre of the core, the optical attenuation of the graded-index polymer optical fibre may be reduced. Also provided is a graded-index polymer optical fibre obtainable by the method.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to bilayer tablets comprising a combination of two active pharmaceutical ingredients, and more specifically to bilayer tablets comprising acetylsalicylic acid, pseudoephedrine, and a dissolution aid. The bilayer tablets utilize a combination of granulated and non-granulated acetylsalicylic acid along with a unique distribution of sodium carbonate as a dissolution aid that provide acetylsalicylic acid and pseudoephedrine in a single dosage form having rapid dissolution and long-term storage stability (low degradation). The present disclosure also provides methods of preparing and of using the bilayer tablets.
Abstract: A wax melter apparatus. The wax melter apparatus includes a housing and a heating element to provide heat to melt wax. The wax melter apparatus also includes a flexible dish supported by the housing, the flexible dish receives the wax to be melted and can be distorted to allow cooled and hardened wax to be easily removed.
Abstract: In one aspect, a method and system for detecting a change in fluid dynamics of a fluid flowing through an extra-corporeal circuit is disclosed, which includes establishing an acoustic wave resonance across a transverse dimension of at least a portion of a line associated with the extra-corporeal circuit through which the fluid flows, monitoring a phase signal of the resonant acoustic wave, and identifying occurrence of a change in fluid dynamics of the flowing fluid when the observed phase signal of the resonant acoustic wave indicates a deviation from the expected fluid flow signature. The change in fluid dynamics can be used to indicate a venous needle dislodgement event.

Abstract: According to the invention, there is provided seed and plants of the corn variety designated CV859255. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of the variety CV859255, and to methods for producing a corn plant produced by crossing a corn plant of variety CV859255 with itself or with another corn plant, such as a plant of another variety. The invention further relates to corn seeds and plants produced by crossing plants of variety CV859255 with plants of another variety, such as another inbred line. The invention further relates to the inbred and hybrid genetic complements of plants of variety CV859255.
Abstract: A window operator assembly comprises a leadscrew and an elongated nut. The leadscrew is pivotally connected to a window frame via a frame pivot and is rotatable relative to the window frame. The elongated nut is pivotally connected to a window sash via a sash pivot. As the leadscrew rotates in a first direction, the elongated nut moves in a first direction along the leadscrew and moves the window sash toward an open position relative to the window frame. As the leadscrew rotates in a second direction, the elongated nut moves in a second direction along the leadscrew and moves the window sash toward a closed position relative to the window frame.

The side pocket mandrel may also include a motorized choke valve assembly to selectively cover some or all of an internal tubing port extending between the central bore and the gas lift valve pocket. The side pocket mandrel may also include an automatic closing valve assembly configured to automatically close the gas lift valve port when the gas lift valve is removed from the side pocket mandrel.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for providing on-site electrical power to a fracturing operation, and an electrically powered fracturing system. Natural gas can be used to drive a turbine generator in the production of electrical power. A scalable, electrically powered fracturing fleet is provided to pump fluids for the fracturing operation, obviating the need for a constant supply of diesel fuel to the site and reducing the site footprint and infrastructure required for the fracturing operation, when compared with conventional systems.
Abstract: A dual-factor PIN based authentication system and method uses a cryptogram provided by a contactless card associated with the client in association with a PIN stored by the contactless card to authenticate the client. In some embodiments, cryptogram authentication may be preconditioned upon a PIN match determination by the contactless card. In other embodiments, the cryptogram may be formed at least in part using the personal identification number (PIN) stored on the contactless card encoded using a dynamic key stored by the contactless card and uniquely associated with the client. Authentication may be achieved by comparing the cryptogram formed using the PIN against an expected cryptogram generated an expected PIN and an expected dynamic key.
