Abstract: A Fast Faraday Cup includes a group of electrodes including a grounded electrode having a through hole and a collector electrode configured with a blind hole that functions a collector hole. The electrodes are configured to allow a beam (e.g., a non-relativistic beam) to fall onto the grounded electrode so that the through hole cuts a beamlet that flies into the collector hole and facilitates measurement of the longitudinal distribution of particle charge density in the beam. The diameters, depths, spacing and alignment of the collector hole and the through hole are controllable to enable the Fast Faraday day cup to operate with a fast response time (e.g., fine time resolution) and capture secondary particles.

Abstract: As described, a cloud-based enrollment service is configured to advertise features and capabilities of clusters performing malware analyses within a cloud-based malware detection system. Upon receiving an enrollment request message, including tenant credentials associated with a sensor having an object to be analyzed for malware, the cloud-based enrollment service is configured to use the tenant credentials to authenticate the sensor and determine a type of subscription assigned to the sensor. Thereafter, the cloud-based enrollment service is further configured to transmit an enrollment response message including a portion of the advertised features and capabilities of a selected cluster of the cloud-based malware detection system. The advertised features and capabilities includes information to enable the sensor to establish direct communications with the selected cluster.

Abstract: An optically traceable patch cord includes a cable extending from a first connector at a first end to a second connector at a second end. A trace assembly in the cable is located between the first end of the cable and the second end of the cable. An optical tracing fiber extends from the trace assembly to one of the first connector and the second connector.
Abstract: An electronic throttle control pedal assembly includes a housing having a friction generating surface, a pedal arm, a spring carrier, and at least one spring. The pedal arm includes a hub portion and a friction generating member. The friction generating member has a lobe connected to a cross member and is positioned on a side surface of the hub portion. The cross member extends within the hub portion. The spring carrier has a friction generating portion. As the pedal arm is depressed, a portion of the spring carrier engages the friction generating portion against the cross member positioned within the hub aperture and pivotally engages a portion of the lobe of the friction generating member against the friction generating surface of the housing thereby creating at least two independent friction generating surfaces to create a hysteresis proportional to the depression of the pedal arm.
Abstract: A cooler access control system locks a cooler when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler door open while stocking the cooler with product.
Abstract: A biosolids treatment system that treats human biosolids to produce thermal energy for self-consumption for the production of beneficial use products including low carbon ash, high carbon activated biochar, and Class A biosolids. The system includes a variable feed conveyor that conveys a biosolid feed into a dryer; a dryer that dries the biosolid feed to a predetermined moisture content to create one of a beneficial use products, where the predetermined moisture content is controlled by varying the speed of variable feed conveyors and a variable feed mixer; and a gasifier that converts the biosolid feed into two of the beneficial use products.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer storage media and hardware security modules, for performing batch cryptography on hardware security modules. A hardware security module can receive a request to perform one or more cryptographic operations. The request can include a batch data structure storing a plurality of data elements. The hardware security module can unbatch the plurality of data elements, perform one or more cryptographic operations on the plurality of data elements to generate a plurality of outputs, generate an output batch data structure storing the plurality of outputs, and transmit the output batch data structure in response to the request. The request and the batch data structure can be formed in accordance with a batch hardware security module application program interface (API) implemented by the hardware security module.

Abstract: In some implementations, a device may receive, from a data stream, a set of data points arranged in a dimensional data space. The device may compare the set of data points to identify one or more clusters using values of a distance parameter for data points included in the set of data points, wherein the values of distance parameter includes different values of the distance parameter for different data points. The device may transmit an indication of the one or more clusters to cause a device to display information associated with the one or more clusters. The device may receive, from the device, feedback information associated with at least one data point, wherein the feedback information indicates that at least one data point is associated with an error. The device may modify a value of the distance parameter associated with the at least one data point to a modified value.
Abstract: A charging system includes a plurality of power charging cabinets, each power charging cabinet being configured with a plurality of electrical power outputs. The charging system also includes at least one power dispenser chain coupled to at least one of the plurality of electrical power outputs, each of the power dispenser chains having more than one addressable power dispenser electrically coupled thereto and each of the power dispensers being configured to be addressed based on a vehicle identifier of a vehicle coupled to an addressed power dispenser, each of the power dispensers also having a controller configured to control electrical power delivery to a destination chosen from a charging power output of the power dispenser and to another power dispenser in the power dispenser chain. The charging system further includes a central control system configured to communicate with controllers of the power dispensers of the at least one power dispenser chain.
Abstract: A self-tuning RFID device having an input capacitance that is adjustable in response to a detected signal. The self-tuning RFID device preferably comprises a variable capacitance RFID chip coupled to an inductor, and an input circuit driven by the detected signal from the variable capacitance RFID chip. A change in capacitance with the detected signal is delayed by a specific amount of time, thereby allowing the self-tuning RFID device to function as a dual mode EAS and RFID tag. The ESA functionality can be deactivated by a high field at or near its resonance frequency without disabling the RFID functionality. The effect of the high field may change the input capacitance permanently changing its resonance.
