Abstract: A collapsible and portable dip apparatus may be structurally configured for use with one or more resistance bands for adjusting the intensity of exercises. Specifically, a dip apparatus according to the present teachings may include side structures that are pivotable towards a central support structure to reduce a footprint of the dip apparatus, e.g., for storage. Further, the side structures may include support bars that are structurally configured for engagement with a resistance band, where the support bars are located below gripping bars of the dip apparatus. To this end, the present teachings include an exercise system featuring the aforementioned dip apparatus and resistance bands, where a user can engage a resistance band with each of the side structures of the dip apparatus such that a user can place his/her knees on the resistance band for support when performing a dip exercise.
Abstract: A system for monitoring installed healthcare assets includes an asset database containing installed asset data and recovered asset data and a storage system storing a trained regression model and a clustering model. A processing system is configured to process the installed asset data using the trained regression model to predict a recovery time for each installed healthcare asset and process the installed asset data and the recovered asset data using the clustering model to identify a set of target assets, wherein the set of target assets is subset of the installed healthcare assets. The processing system is further configured to identify at least one recovery target asset based on the set of target assets and the predicted recovery time for each installed healthcare asset in the set of target assets.
Abstract: A method for controlling a fuel cell system having a hydrogen fuel injector/ejector and a control system, includes determining a hydrogen fuel consumption rate associated with a selected power level at steady state, determining a modeled hydrogen fuel flow rate associated with the selected power level and the injector/ejector, determining a modeled effective flow area associated with the injector/ejector, determining a true effective flow area of the injector/ejector, and using the effective flow area to calculate or adjust a command signal, an estimation or an estimation error of at least one of a hydrogen fuel flow rate, an anode leak rate and an anode exhaust valve flow rate.

Abstract: A central entity can be in communication with a terminal and a plurality of authentication entities. The central entity can receive a token from the terminal and the central entity can decide to transmit the token to a subset of the plurality of authentication entities. The authentication entities which receive the token, can verify or authenticate the token and transmit an authentication message to the central entity. Based on the authentication messages, the central entity can transmit a message to the terminal indicating which authentication entities authenticated or verified the user and/or a request associated with the user.
Abstract: A three-dimensional memory device includes an alternating stack of insulating layers and electrically conductive layers located over a substrate. Each electrically conductive layer within a subset of the electrically conductive layers includes a respective first metal layer containing an elemental metal and a respective first metal silicide layer containing a metal silicide of the elemental metal. Memory openings vertically extend through the alternating stack. Memory opening fill structures located within the memory openings can include a respective memory film and a respective vertical semiconductor channel.

Abstract: A gap wall that includes a divider and a base. The divider includes a top end and a bottom end. The base is attached to the bottom end of the divider and the base can attach to a gap filler such that when attached on the gap filler and when the gap filler is installed between a seat and an adjacent barrier, the divider forms one wall of a pocket. The divider may be compressible. The divider may have an exterior fabric that creates an interior, and the interior may have stuffing. The exterior fabric may be leather. The gap wall may have a closable opening that can be used to adjust the amount of stuffing in the interior. The closable opening may use a zipper.
Abstract: A cranking mechanism preferably includes a planetary gear, a drive shaft, a one way bearing, a clutch assembly, and at least one drive unit. The clutch preferably includes a clutch pressure plate, a flywheel, friction surfaces and at least one friction plate. Each drive unit includes a carrier, a spool and a flywheel. The one way bearing and the clutch assembly are axial on the drive shaft. A pressure locking nut is threaded on to a threaded end of the crank shaft to exert pressure on the clutch assembly. The sun gear is fixed on the drive shaft. The at least one drive unit is axial with the drive shaft, and fixed with the carrier of the planetary gear set. The pressure locking nut is tightened against the clutch assembly to frictionally engage the drive shaft with the at least one drive unit.
Abstract: A system for centrally managing and executing emergency egress guidance. A first computing device can receive an indication of an emergency and user presence information in a building, retrieve, from a local data store, generated egress instructions for the building, select, for each of a plurality of egress advisement devices and based on the emergency indication, user presence information, and location of each egress advisement device, one of the egress instructions that is customized for each egress advisement device, and transmit, to each egress advisement device, the selected instructions to be outputted to guide users to exit the building. Each egress advisement device can determine that communications are terminated between the egress advisement devices and the computing device, obtain the emergency indication and user presence information, and retrieve, from the local data store, a second of the egress instructions associated with the location of the device.
Abstract: Systems and methods of greenhouse gas removal and subsea sequestration are described herein. Disclosed systems and methods include a direct air capture device capturing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, a transport apparatus fluidly connected to the at least one direct air capture device, an underwater disposal well fluidly connected to the transport apparatus, and an underwater work apparatus operatively connected to the underwater disposal well. The transport apparatus transfers the greenhouse gases to the underwater disposal well, and the underwater disposal well injects the greenhouse gases into an underwater geologic formation. The greenhouse gases may be solidified as mineral deposits and permanently stored in the underwater geologic formation. Disclosed systems may include a loading system configured to be periodically connected to the transport apparatus. The loading system has a plurality of rotatable joint modules connected by independently actuatable joints.
Abstract: An internal nasal dilator approximates a U-shape having a bight section and two elongated members with end pads. Each member can be custom formed for comfortable and secure placement in the respective nostrils. Insertion is limited when the bight section of the U contacts the bottom of the user's columella. The upper ends of the members transition to widened areas or pads that face outwardly and are shaped and sized to urge the outer wall of their respective nostril outwardly to dilate the nostril to facilitate breathing. The lower portions of the members have inwardly directed projections at a predetermined distance from the bight; these projections overlie the upper ledge of the columella to interfere with or block withdrawal of the dilator unless a sufficient downward force is exerted to enable the projections to slide off and past the ledge of the columella to allow the dilator to be withdrawn.

Abstract: In a distributed system, data is shared between three or more electronic devices. The first device generates and signs an object that includes the data. A second device receives the signed object and determines whether the signed object is valid. If valid, the second device will generate a validated signed object and send it to a third device. The third device will validate the object by determining whether the object includes valid signatures of both the first and second devices.

Abstract: A system and a method produce electrical power for ship propulsion. Power and fuel modules are configured for modular use during travel. The power and fuel modules may be standard freight size containers so that the amount of fuel and power for a trip may be adjusted based on the needs of the trip. A control system may be automated to control loading and unloading of fuel or power modules into the power distribution system, connection or disconnection of fuel or power modules, and adjust distribution of power to the ship's electrical grid based on consumption demands.
Abstract: A telecommunications network server system provides a digital identifier to a user device. The digital identifier may include identification data corresponding to a user of the user device. In addition, the telecommunications network server system receives, from one or more third-party systems, requests to authenticate the user for an electronic transaction with the respective third-party system. The telecommunications network server system provides a unique electronic transaction code to each third-party system. Responsive to receiving from the user device one of the unique electronic transaction codes, the telecommunications network server system provides, to the respective third-party system, authentication of the user.
