  • Patent number: 11632168
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for uplink synchronization in time division multiple access (TDMA) satellite network. In one embodiment, an earth-based satellite terminal is configured to communicate with a satellite hub through a satellite using the TDMA communication protocol. The earth-based satellite terminal is configured to determine its own location, a location of the satellite, estimate a distance between the location of the terminal and the location of the satellite, determine a Coarse Timing Advance based on the distance that is estimated, and transmit data to the satellite based on the Coarse Timing Advance and the TDMA communication protocol. The Coarse Timing Advance may allow uplink TDMA communication without a preamble transmission on a random access channel, the preamble transmission being required in many conventional systems.

  • Patent number: 11632561
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry decodes prediction information of a current block from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of a subset of inter prediction modes associated with a merge flag being false. Then, the processing circuitry decodes at least an additional flag that is used for selecting a specific inter prediction mode from the subset of inter prediction modes. Further, the processing circuitry reconstructs samples of the current block according to the specific inter prediction mode.

  • Patent number: 11631082
Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for identifying fraudulent payment transfers. In some examples, a computing device determines payment transfer initiation features, and payment transfer reception features, based on previous payment transfer data. The computing device may train a machine learning fraud detection model with the payment transfer initiation features, and may train a machine learning fraud detection model with the payment transfer reception features. Once trained, the computing device may employ the machine learning fraud detection models to identify fraudulent payment transfers. For example, the computing device may determine whether a payment transfer is fraudulent when the payment transfer is initiated. Assuming the payment transfer is allowed, the computing device may determine whether the payment transfer is fraudulent when the payment is being received.

  • Patent number: 11628858
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system/method generates a driving trajectory for an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV). The system perceives an environment of an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV). The system determines one or more bounding conditions based on the perceived environment. The system generates a first trajectory using a neural network model, wherein the neural network model is trained to generate a driving trajectory. The system evaluates/determines if the first trajectory satisfies the one or more bounding conditions. If the first trajectory satisfies the one or more bounding conditions, the system controls the ADV autonomously according to the first trajectory. Otherwise, the system controls the ADV autonomously according to a second trajectory, where the second trajectory is generated based on an objective function, where the objective function is determined based on at least the one or more bounding conditions.
