Abstract: A data capturing system for use with aerial spherical imagery is provided. The system allows for capturing and tracking of data with respect to those accessing and viewing particular aerial spherical imagery, such as the imagery on a GIS map. The data capturing system may include a server having a processor and a memory and a software application providing instruction to the server to display aerial spherical imagery, such as spherical imagery, to a user through a network connection, such as through the Internet. For example the system may provide the map as a website to the user that is displayed on a remote computing device accessible by the user in order to view the spherical imagery. Data related to the interaction of the user with the website is captured and tracked in order to use such data for other purposes.

Abstract: A gyroscopic boat roll stabilizer for a boat comprises a gimbal, having a gimbal axis, an enclosure mounted to the gimbal and configured to precess about a gimbal axis, a flywheel assembly rotatably mounted inside the enclosure for generating a torque that is applied to counter a rolling motion of the boat, and a braking system for controlling precession of the enclosure. The braking system is configured to enable precession in the first and second directions.
Abstract: A system for vibration-driven sensing may include a wearable dimensioned to be donned by a user of an artificial reality system. The system may also include a vibration sensor that is incorporated into the wearable and generates an electrical response that corresponds to a vibration detected at the wearable. The system may further include at least one processing device communicatively coupled to the vibration sensor. The processing device may determine, based at least in part on the electrical response generated by the vibration sensor, that the user has made a specific gesture with at least one body part. In response to this determination, the processing device may generate an input command for the artificial reality system based at least in part on the specific gesture made by the user. Various other systems and methods are also disclosed.

Abstract: A conversion circuit that performs analog-to-digital conversion is described. During operation, the conversion circuit receives an input signal. Then, the conversion circuit performs analog-to-digital conversion and provides a quantized output corresponding to the input signal based at least in part on a first power-supply voltage and a second power-supply voltage of the conversion circuit. For example, the quantized output may be based at least in part on a comparison of the input signal to the first power-supply voltage and the second power-supply voltage. Moreover, the first power-supply voltage and the second power-supply voltage may specify a full-scale range of the conversion circuit. When the full-scale range exceeds a second full-scale range associated with reference voltages that are other than the first power-supply voltage and the second power-supply voltage, the quantized output may correspond to a larger number of bits than when the full-scale range equals the second full-scale range.
Abstract: Advertisement systems may have an administration server, a broadcast system, a receiver, and a consumer device. The receiver may be configured to receive an advertisement with a call-to-action code. The receiver may also be configured to broadcast the advertisement with the call-to-action code to a consumer. The receiver may have an input mechanism. The consumer device may be in communication with the receiver and the administration server. The consumer device may be configured to receive the call-to-action code from the receiver when the consumer engages the input mechanism. The consumer device may include a software application. The software application may be configured to parse the call-to-action code with the administration server into call-to-action instructions. The software application may be further configured to permit the consumer to selectively integrate the call-to-action details into a third-party application on the consumer device.
Abstract: A fastener plate for use in coupling an underlayment to a roof surface is disclosed. In use, the fastener plate is arranged and configured to enable subsequently applied liquid coatings to flow through a top surface of the fastener plate and into one or more cavities so that the liquid coating seals any openings created by introduction of the fastener. In one embodiment, the fastener plate may include a top surface, a bottom surface, a fastener opening for receiving a fastener, a plurality of openings formed in the top surface, and one or more cavities positioned between the top surface and the bottom surface, the one or more cavities being in fluid communication with the plurality of openings so that the liquid coating can flow through the plurality of openings formed in the top surface and into the one or more cavities to seal any voids created by the fastener.
Abstract: The present bassinet apparatus includes a receptacle having an open top, a closed bottom, and an endless sidewall between the open top and closed bottom. A floor portion in the closed bottom is rotatable onto itself for reduction in size of the receptacle for shipment and storage. Abstract: Diffing subject and comparison traces. A first call tree representing function calls made by a first executable entity is created based on subject trace, and a second call tree representing function calls made by a second executable entity is created based on a comparison trace. A differencing tree is created from the call trees, with differencing tree nodes indicate a differencing status between the first and second call trees. A differencing cost is assigned to each differencing tree node, based at least on the nodes' differencing status. Abstract: The present invention relates to methods of managing weight, and treating overweight or obesity and treating or preventing diabetes in a subject in need thereof. In one embodiment, the method comprises the steps of (a) orally administering to the subject from about 0.7 g to about 4 g of crosslinked carboxymethylcellulose; and (b) orally administering to the subject at least about 100 mL of water per gram of crosslinked carboxymethylcellulose. Abstract: A privacy display comprises a polarised output spatial light modulator, reflective polariser, plural polar control retarders and a polariser. In a privacy mode of operation, on-axis light from the spatial light modulator is directed without loss, whereas off-axis light has reduced luminance. Further, display reflectivity is reduced for on-axis reflections of ambient light, while reflectivity is increased for off-axis light. The visibility of the display to off-axis snoopers is reduced by means of luminance reduction and increased frontal reflectivity to ambient light. In a public mode of operation, the liquid crystal retardance is adjusted so that off-axis luminance and reflectivity are unmodified.
