  • Patent number: 11628635
Abstract: A cross-corrugated support structure includes a sheet having a first and a second set of corrugations. The first set of corrugations is defined by a series of alternating ridges and grooves that extend the length of the sheet in a first direction. The second set of corrugations is also defined by a series of ridges and grooves that extend the length of the sheet in a second direction that intersects with the first direction. The intersection of the first and second set of corrugations creates cross-corrugations throughout the sheet. To provide compressive and tensile strengths suitable for large-scale construction applications, the sheet may be made of a carbonaceous material such as carbon fiber or graphite treated to rigidly retain a shape including the first and second set of corrugations within the sheet. The sheet may be reinforced by securing support members or additional corrugated sheets to the sheet.

  • Patent number: 11629396
Abstract: Aluminum can be used as a fuel source when reacted with water if its native surrounding oxide coating is penetrated with a gallium-based eutectic. When discrete aluminum objects are treated in a heated bath of eutectic, the eutectic penetrates the oxide coating. After the aluminum objects are treated, the aluminum objects can be reacted in a reactor to produce hydrogen which can, for example, react with oxygen in a fuel cell to produce electricity, for use in a variety of applications.

  • Patent number: 11632294
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to configuring managed computing devices utilizing containerized applications. For instance, a mobile device manager may provide configuration settings to a computing device via, for example, an enterprise network. A host operating system (OS) executing on the computing device determines and applies the settings that are applicable to the host OS. The configuration settings are stored for configuring containerized applications executing on the computing device. For instance, as new containerized applications are launched by the host OS, the containerized applications retrieve the configuration settings and determine and apply the settings that are applicable to the containerized applications. Results of applying the configuration settings to the host OS and the containerized applications are merged and sent to the mobile device manager.

  • Patent number: 11630265
Abstract: An optical circuit switch including a two-dimensional fiber collimator includes a hole plate to hold and align a plurality of optical fibers. Fiber pathways within the hole plate can be formed using a femtosecond laser irradiation chemical etching (FLICE) technique. The use of the FLICE technique allows for extremely precise channels to be formed which allows for fibers to be aligned more closely with their intended alignment. The technique also allows for the channels or fiber pathways to be formed in a thicker material, which allows for greater structural support and robustness of the fiber collimator in use.

  • Patent number: 11632120
Abstract: A method includes converting, by n analog to digital converter circuits, n analog signals into n first digital signals having a first data rate frequency; converting, by n digital decimation filtering circuits, the n first digital signals into n second digital signals having a second data rate frequency; and converting, by n digital bandpass filter (BPF) circuits, the n second digital signals into a plurality of outbound digital signals having a third data rate frequency. The coefficients for the taps of a digital BPF circuit is set to produce a bandpass region approximately centered at the oscillation frequency of the analog signal and having a bandwidth tuned for filtering a pure tone component of the analog signal. The first data rate frequency is a first integer multiple of the third data rate frequency. The second data rate frequency is a second integer multiple of the third data rate frequency.

  • Patent number: 11630955
Abstract: A framework for enhanced search is provided to enable the user to contextually search documents, based on specified events. A management framework provides systems for obtaining a user's contextual data and the user's interaction data for which a Context Graph and an Interaction Graph are created, respectively. The user's context data include the various events associated with the user. The user's interaction data include times and locations the user interacted with a particular document, which device was used, the type of interaction, etc. The data from the two graphs are correlated and joined into an event graph. Upon receiving a natural language query from a user, one or more contextual query elements are identified, and the event graph is spanned to identify matching results which are then provided to the requesting user device.
