  • Patent number: 11631003
Abstract: Techniques for predicting states may include: receiving data sets of counter values, wherein each counter values denotes a number of times a particular code flow point associated with the counter value is executed at runtime during a specified time period; receiving images generated from the data sets; labeling each of the images with state information, wherein first state information associated with a first image indicates that the first image is associated with a first error state of a system or an application; training a neural network using the images to recognize the first state; receiving a next image generated from another data set; and predicting, by the neural network and in accordance with the next image, whether the system or the application is expected to transition into the first state. In at least one embodiment, the foregoing processing may optionally use matrices generated from the data sets rather than images.

  • Patent number: 11632823
Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating sensor timestamps by oversampling are provided. One example method involves observing, at a sampling frequency, sensor data from a register of a sensor. The sensor updates the register with sensor data at as sensor update frequency. The sampling frequency is different from the sensor update frequency. The method also involves generating, based on the sensor update frequency and the sampling frequency, an observed sequence representing the sensor data. The observed sequence indicates whether the register is observed to be updated or not updated. The method also involves estimating, from the observed sequence, the sensor update frequency and a sensor update phase. The method also involves determining, based on the sensor update frequency as estimated and the sensor update phase as estimated, a timestamp corresponding to an update of the register.

  • Publication number: 20230113234
Abstract: Pressure-based estimation of a mobile device altitude or calibration of a pressure sensor involves machines that determine if a reference-level pressure value based on one or more measurements of pressure from a network of weather stations should or should not be used to calibrate a pressure sensor of a mobile device or to estimate an altitude of the mobile device. If the reference-level pressure value should be used, the reference-level pressure value is used to calibrate a pressure sensor of a mobile device or to estimate an altitude of the mobile device. If the reference-level pressure value should not be used, a trend in pressure is determined, an estimated reference-level pressure value based on the trend is determined, and the estimated reference-level pressure value is used to calibrate a pressure sensor of a mobile device or to estimate an altitude of the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20230111778
Abstract: Examples are disclosed relating to providing haptic feedback in a stylus while the stylus crosses a gap between two displays. In one example, a method comprises detecting one or more haptic triggering criteria, and at least on condition of detecting the one or more haptic triggering criteria, actuating the haptic feedback component to produce haptic output. A width of the gap between the displays is determined, and a crossing time for a tip of the stylus to cross the gap is calculated using the width of the gap, a stylus velocity, and a stylus direction. At a first time after actuating the haptic feedback component, the method determines that the one or more haptic triggering criteria are not detected. At least on condition of determining that the one or more haptic triggering criteria are not detected, the method continues to actuate the haptic feedback component for the crossing time.

  • Publication number: 20230113928
Abstract: A method for sanitizing pre-measured units of a pre-sanitized flowable food product in a sanitizing device installed into an existing food production system without substantially increasing the head height requirement of the feed production system. A plurality of containers are moved about a path with increased retention time through a plurality of stations: a receiving station, one or more sanitizing stations, and a dispensing station, and a container cleaning station. A pre-measured unit measured for packaging is received at the receiving station into a container. The pre-measured unit is exposed to one or more sanitizing agents at one or more sanitizing stations. The pre-measured unit is immediately packaged after sanitization. The pre-measured unit is dispensed into a packaging device at the dispensing station. The containers are then cleaned at the container cleaning station to prepare each container to receive a subsequent pre-measured unit of the pre-sanitized flowable feed product.

  • Publication number: 20230115341
Abstract: The disclosed lagoon biological treatment system helps existing wastewater treatment facilities meet stricter discharge permits mandated by the EPA utilizing a facility's existing wastewater treatment infrastructure. Influent is pumped into and processed in an aerated or non-aerated lagoon system, thus initially treating the wastewater to reduce BODS (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and TSS (Total Suspended Solids) to approximately 20-30 mg/L. Then the wastewater is transferred to and processed in a nitrification reactor, where sufficient nitrifying bacteria is present to reduce nitrogen levels to regulation-acceptable levels without needing to regulate temperature of the water in the nitrification reactor. Wastewater may also be further processed in a denitrifying reactor if necessary to meet local requirement. Post-nitrification polishing of the wastewater is foregone.

  • Publication number: 20230115843
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for allowing completion of cardless ATM transactions at an ATM using a barcode that encodes an identifier for that ATM. A user of a mobile banking app may begin a transaction on their mobile device and, upon reaching a stage of the transaction where ATM access is needed (e.g., to withdraw physical cash), requests that the user visit an ATM to scan the barcode. When the mobile app scans the barcode, the ATM displaying the barcode is associated with the transaction, and completes the transaction (e.g., by dispensing cash). This barcode, while usable to identify the ATM for this purpose, also provides additional information that can be obtained by any barcode reader. This additional information may, for example, be a link to a website that provides an explanation about this service.
