Abstract: A system for recoating a powder bed includes a build platform holding a powder bed and an electrode assembly including an electrode and an insulating shield. A voltage supply produces a high voltage alternating current and communicates with the powder bed and the electrode. The electrode assembly is positionable over the powder bed, such that when the electrode assembly is over the powder bed, the shield is between the electrode and the powder bed's top surface. The voltage supply produces a high voltage alternating current that creates an alternating electric field between the electrode and the powder bed that causes the powder of the powder bed top surface to oscillate in a region between the shield and the bed and then reposition themselves on the bed such that the top layer of the powder bed is smoother than it was prior to when the powder particles began oscillating.
Abstract: Techniques for mixed-precision data manipulation for neural network data computation are disclosed. A first left group comprising eight bytes of data and a first right group of eight bytes of data are obtained for computation using a processor. A second left group comprising eight bytes of data and a second right group of eight bytes of data are obtained. A sum of products is performed between the first left and right groups and the second left and right groups. The sum of products is performed on bytes of 8-bit integer data. A first result is based on a summation of eight values that are products of the first group's left eight bytes and the second group's left eight bytes. A second result is based on the summation of eight values that are products of the first group's left eight bytes and the second group's right eight bytes. Results are output.
Abstract: A computer system or computer-implemented process monitors a page rendering, including supplemental content rendered in one or more placement regions, for one or more viewability parameters. In response to a page event, the computer system or process selectively updates the one or more placement regions on the rendered page, based on a determination of whether the supplemental content of each placement region satisfied the one or more viewability criteria.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to conducting electronic transactions via a computer network. A server receives data packets carrying data identifying a merchant category, an electronic account maintained and configured on the server, and a first monetary amount of a first electronic transaction. A policy engine selects a first purse of a plurality of purses allocated to the electronic account based on a policy applied to the data. The first purse may be configured as a benefits purse. Abstract: A vertical takeoff and landing aircraft capable of six degree-of-freedom motion where lift, pitch, and roll are provided by multirotors oriented vertically, lateral translation is provided by a cyclorotor oriented vertically, and yaw is provided by a combination of the cyclorotor and the multirotors. The invention includes a frame, which supports the multirotors and cyclorotors. The frame also supports a payload and battery which are positioned at the extreme ends of the frame. Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices relating to determining an introduction portion in a video program are described herein. A method may determine first and second hard-matching pairs of video segments in first and second video content such that video fingerprints of the first hard-matching pair match and video fingerprints of the second hard-matching pair also match. The method may classify a third pair of video segments in the first and second video content, sequentially between the first and second hard-matching pairs, as a soft-matching pair of video segments of an introduction portion. The method may use the classification of the third pair of video segments as a soft-matching pair to determine a model configured to determine that a pair of video segments in two video content items are a soft-matching pair of video segments of an introduction portion.

Abstract: A frame assembly for a motor vehicle that may include a first load beam, a second load beam, and a frame rail that are configured for receipt and transfer of energy to a sill that can move the sill in a downward direction. A counterbalancing load beam that includes a first fixed end is attached to the first load beam and a second fixed end is attached to the frame rail. The counterbalancing load beam is configured for receipt of at least a portion of the energy applied to the first load beam, and the counterbalancing load beam is configured to transfer the energy received from the first load beam to the frame rail such that the transfer of energy to the sill that can move the sill in the downward direction is counterbalanced by the energy transferred by the counterbalancing load beam to the frame rail.
Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. An enhanced output image is generated from a captured image that mitigates the interference from the display. The enhanced output image is generated, for example, by capturing a different calibration image for each pixel type (e.g., Red, Green, and Blue) included in the display. When an image is subsequently captured, an amount of color emitted by the pixels on the display for the currently displayed image is determined and one or more subtraction images are generated and subtracted from the captured image to mitigate the interference from the display.

Abstract: Described herein is a mechanism for utilizing a neural network to identify and rank search results. A machine learning model is trained by converting training data comprising query-document entries into query term-document entries. The query term-document entries are utilized to train the machine learning model. A set of query terms are identified. The query terms can be derived from a query history. The trained machine learning model is used to calculate document ranking scores for the query terms and the resultant scores are stored in a pre-calculated term-document index. A query to search the document index is broken down into its constituent terms and an aggregate document ranking score is calculated from a weighted sum of the document ranking scores corresponding to the individual query terms. Because the term-document index can be pre-calculated, it can be downloaded to provide deep learning search capabilities in a computationally limited environment.

Abstract: This disclosure describes efficient communication of surface texture data between system on a chip (SOC) integrated circuits. An example system includes a first integrated circuit and a second integrated circuit communicatively coupled to the first integrated circuit by a video communication interface. The first integrated generates a superframe in a video frame of the video communication interface for transmission to the second integrated circuit. The superframe includes multiple subframe payloads that carry surface texture data to be updated in the frame and corresponding subframe headers that include parameters of the subframe payloads. The second integrated circuit includes a direct access memory (DMA) controller. The DMA upon receipt of the superframe, writes the surface texture data within each of the subframe payloads directly to an allocated location in memory based on the parameters included in the corresponding one of the subframe headers.
