Patent number: 11606207Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product are provided for sending and receiving messages using a noisy cryptographic system. To send a message, N secret keys are negotiated using a noisy cryptographic system, where K secret keys are expected to be noiseless. A secret polynomial that includes the N secret keys is generated, and K points on the secret polynomial are derived. For each of the N secret keys, a secret key MAC key is derived and a secret key MAC is calculated using the derived secret key MAC key. A secret key MAC header is generated that includes an array of each of the secret key MACs and possibly a corresponding public key. Message integrity plaintext is generated that includes an encrypted message, the secret key MAC header, and an array of the K points on the secret polynomial. A final message that includes the message integrity plaintext is generated for being sent.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2022Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: DIGITAL 14 LLCInventors: Alexander Sherkin, Milap Sheth

Patent number: 11606680Abstract: A method is provided for differentiating one of a plurality of unpowered NFC transmitting devices for NFC communication with a receiving device. Each NFC transmitting device has a transmitter NFC interface and an NFC communication range. A range extending device has a power source, a transmitter communication interface, a range extender antenna, and an amplifier. One of the transmitting devices is selected and the range extending device is connected to it so that the transmitter communication interface engages the transmitter NFC interface of the selected transmitting device. This action serves to establish an extended communication range for the selected NFC transmitting device. The NFC transmitting devices are then positioned at a distance from the receiving device that is within the extended communication range, but outside the communication ranges of the other NFC transmitting devices. NFC communication is then established between the selected NFC transmitting device and the receiving device.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2021Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: CAPITAL ONE SERVICES, LLCInventors: Ruby Rue Roman Estreemera, Deborah Nally, Laith Hallaq
