Abstract: A telecommunications system for a mine with tunnels having a plurality of nodes disposed in the tunnels in the mine which provides communication through WiFi with devices in the mine. Each node having a housing defining an enclosure, a first radio with a first antenna disposed at least partially in the enclosure within the housing directed for communication in a first direction relative to the node, a second radio with a second antenna disposed at least partially in the enclosure within the housing directed for communication in a second direction essentially opposite the first direction, and a power supply in electrical communication with the first and second radios to power the first and second radios. Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, and machine readable mediums for efficient asynchronous replication of hierarchical records across data storage locations. Methods and systems are also described for efficiently updating replicated records. Disclosed also in some examples are improved storage, replication, and distribution of data related to network-based meetings (e.g., media) in hierarchical records. Data for one or more components of the meeting (e.g., media) may be stored in a child record (called a component record). The network-based meeting may be described by a parent record with links to, and in some examples descriptions of, the meeting component records (the child records).

Abstract: Implementations are provided that permit a seamless activation of a game or other application on a host device from a game controller. The game may be launched on the host device in response to an activation signal that is dispatched from the game controller. The game controller may generate the activation signal or it may send such a signal to the host device for processing. The game controller may detect that an action button has been pressed and generate the activation signal in response thereto.

Abstract: A cable assembly includes a plug receiver, a conductor interface, a metal shell encasing the conductor interface and a portion of a cable of the cable assembly, a metal foil that wraps conformably around an exterior of the metal shell, wherein the metal foil covers substantially all of the exterior of the metal shell and extends beyond the metal shell onto a cable shielding layer. The cable assembly further includes a solder layer disposed about the metal foil, wherein the solder layer bonds and electrically couples the first foil portion to itself, the second foil portion to cable shielding at the location on the plurality of conductors that is proximate to the conductor interface, and the third foil portion to the plug receiver. The cable assembly further includes an electrically insulating layer that encases the metal shell, the metal foil, and the solder layer.

Abstract: A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, perform certain acts. The acts can include receiving a deployment model selection of a software-defined-network (SDN) control service. The deployment model selection includes one of a centralized model, a decentralized model, a distributed model, or a hybrid model. The acts also can include deploying the SDN control service in the deployment model selection to control a physical computer network. The SDN control service uses a routing agent model trained using a reinforcement-learning model. Other embodiments are described.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a content sharing platform, a request for content from a client device, the request for content comprising a session-based authentication token that pertains to a session between the client device and the content sharing platform. The content sharing platform can further validate the session-based authentication token and cause playback of the requested content to begin at the client device. Responsive to a valid content-based authentication token supplied by the client device, the content sharing platform can cause playback of the requested content to continue at the client device, wherein the valid content-based authentication token is based on an identifier of the requested content.

Abstract: A composition for making composite adsorbents from a mixture of geopolymer, zeolite and activated carbon wherein a geopolymer material, a carbonaceous material, and an alkali activating agent are the components of the mixture. The alkali activating agent to carbonaceous material solid mass ratio is at least 0.25:1, respectively. A process for producing shaped composite adsorbents from the composition is done using conventional means such as mixing, shaping, extrusion and other methods. Alkali activation is used to convert the carbonaceous material to activated carbon, followed by hydrothermal treatment to convert the geopolymer material to zeolites. Shaped composite adsorbents fabricated from the composition of the instant invention are used for adsorption, purification, or other separation applications of liquids and gases.

Abstract: Systems and methods for assembling structural components are disclosed wherein a selectively configurable fixture is placed on an assembly surface of an assembly table. An assembly table interface couples about a pin of a pin slot of the assembly table and, by means of linkage assembly, translates movement of the pin to a positioning member. The positioning member, by the translated movement of the pin, abuts an element of structural component and supports the element while a fastener is applied to join multiple elements of the structural component. A selectively configurable fixture may be used in isolation, or in combination with other fixtures.

Abstract: A neutron proportional counter is provided. The proportional counter can include a chamber and a gas mixture. The chamber includes an anode and a cathode. The gas mixture is contained within the chamber and includes at least one neutron sensitive fill gas and a quench gas including BF3. In certain embodiments, the neutron sensitive fill gas can be configured for detection of thermal neutrons (e.g., He-3), fast neutrons (e.g., He-4, H2), or both (e.g., UF6).

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring conditions in a crawl space is provided. The system generally comprises at least one sensor, computing device, data aggregator operably connected to the at least one sensor, processor operably connected to the computing device, power supply, and non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled to the processor and having instructions stored thereon. The system is designed to collect condition data via the at least one sensor and determine whether the conditions within the crawl space could have a detrimental impact on the building. In particular, the system is designed to monitor settling of a building over time and alert a user if the settling exceeds a predefined threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for email management that leverages information derived from automatically generated messages in order to identify types of messages and message content. The disclosed systems and methods apply the information learned from decoding previously received messages to other messages in a user's inbox to fully, or at least partially decode the information included within such messages. The disclosed systems and methods analyze messages received in a user's inbox to detect message specific information corresponding to types of content in the message and the location of such content in the messages. The message specific information is then applied to other newly received or identified messages to learn message specific information about those messages. Based on such learning, information can be extracted from such messages in order to increase a user's experience and increase monetization.
