Abstract: This document describes methods, devices, and systems for configuring a smartphone (102) for network connectivity via a charging station (120), in which the smartphone (102) detects a connection or a coupling to the charging station (120). In response to the detection of the connection or coupling to the charging station (120), the smartphone (102) configures a WLAN transceiver (228) as a WLAN access point and forms a mesh WLAN network with one or more other WLAN access points (114). In other aspects, the charging station (120) detects the presence of the smartphone (102) that is connected or coupled to the charging station (120). In response to sensing the presence of the smartphone (102), the charging station (120) configures power and charging circuitry (244) to charge a battery of the smartphone (102) and configures WLAN radio circuitry (232) to relay WLAN communications for the smartphone (102).

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for identifying and providing highlight messages from a group messaging thread. For example, systems and methods described herein detect when a group messaging thread participant becomes absent from the group messaging thread, and identifies one or more highlight messages that were submitted to the group messaging thread while the participant was absent. Systems and methods described herein identify highlight messages that are specific to the absent participant, such that when the participant again accesses the group messaging thread, the participant can review the identified highlight messages in order to quickly “catch up” on the group messaging thread without having to read each electronic message submitted to the group messaging thread during the participant's absence.

Abstract: A route from a current location of a portable device to a destination is determined, where the route includes a sequence of directed sections. Navigation instructions to guide a user of the portable device along the route to the destination are generated. To this end, candidate navigation landmarks perceptible within a 360-degree range of the current location of the portable device are identified, a navigation landmark disposed in a direction substantially opposite to the direction of the first one in the sequence of directed sections is selected from among the candidate navigation landmarks, and an initial instruction in the navigation instructions is generated and provided via a user interface of the portable device. The initial instruction references the selected navigation landmark.
Abstract: A method in an electronic device includes identifying an authorized user of the electronic device being present within an environment of the electronic device. The method also includes identifying at least one other person also being present within the environment of the electronic device. The method then includes selecting, with one or more processors of the electronic device, content previously partially consumed by the authorized user and the at least one other person and presenting, with the one or more processors, the content on a user interface of the electronic device.

Abstract: A video generation system is configured to provide streaming video as a cloud processed service to viewers over a computing network. In response to a request from a viewer, a video source is configured to provide video and an identifier source is configured to provide an identifier for inclusion in the video. A video encoder is configured to convert the video from a first format to a second format, apply the identifier to the video, and otherwise encode the video in real-time while streaming the encoded video to the viewer. The identifier may be stored in association with the account information of the viewer and used for identifying the viewer a source of an unauthorized video copy.
Abstract: An integrated tele-health networking, interaction, and care-matching tool for tele-health services may include a tele-health operations server in communication with patient, provider, matching, and interaction databases. A management engine running on the server may execute a database management module, a rule module, and a GUI module configured to display a GUI having a plurality of preconfigured screens at a plurality of user terminals. In operation, the management engine implements a referral-based care network that connects a patient with healthcare providers, non-medical-professional caregivers, advocates, and friends or family via the user terminals.

The gib clamp assembly has a clamp support member having a first gib clamp at a first end and second gib clamp at a second end. The gib clamp has a fixed finger and a moveable finger, the moveable finger controlled via hydraulics. The boom clamp may hoist, tilt, and position an assembled section of panels.
Abstract: A system and method of smart contract and distributed ledger platform with blockchain authenticity verification includes a blockchain service circuit structured to interface with a distributed ledger; a data collection circuit structured to receive data related to a set of items of collateral that provide security for a loan: a smart contract circuit structured to create a smart lending contract for the loan and assign at least a portion of the set of items of collateral to the loan, thereby creating an assigned set of items of collateral; wherein the blockchain service circuit is further structured to record the assigned set of items of collateral to a loan-entry in the distributed ledger, and wherein each of the blockchain service circuit, the data collection circuit, and the smart contract circuit further comprise a corresponding application programming interface (API) component structured to facilitate communication among the circuits of the system.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to predicting a charging time for a battery of an electrified vehicle. An example electrified vehicle includes an electric machine configured to provide rotational output power to drive the electrified vehicle, a battery pack configured to output electrical power to the electric machine, and a controller. The controller is configured to predict a profile indicative of a charging rate of the battery pack. The profile is predicted based on whether the battery pack is predicted to be charged based on at least one charging limit of the battery pack.
