Abstract: Techniques for performing an emissions demand response event are described. In an example, a cloud-based HVAC control server system obtains an emissions rate forecast for a predefined future time period. Using the emissions rate forecast, a future emissions rate event during the predefined future time period is identified. The future emissions rate event comprises an indication of predicted magnitude and a time period when a predicted emissions rate will be at an increased or decreased level. A confidence value indicating a certainty of the future emissions rate event occurring as predicted is determined. Based on the identified future emissions rate event and the confidence value, an emissions demand response event having a start time and an end time during the future emissions rate event is generated. The cloud-based HVAC control server system then causes a thermostat to control an HVAC system in accordance with the generated emissions demand response event.

Abstract: Implementations of the subject matter described herein relate to conversational data analysis. After a data analysis request is received from a user, heuristic information may be determined based on the data analysis request. The heuristic information mentioned here is not a result for the data analysis request but information which may be used for leading the conversation to proceed. Based on such heuristic information, the user may provide supplementary information associated with the data analysis request, for example, clarify meaning of the data analysis request, submit a relevant further analysis request, and so on. A really desired and meaningful data analysis result can be provided to the user according to the supplementary information provided by the user. Thus, data analysis will become more accurate and effective. While obtaining really helpful information, the user also gains good user experience.

Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to controlling geo-scale analytics with bandwidth and regulatory constraints. An analytical query (e.g., a recurrent analytical query, a non-recurrent analytical query, etc.) to be executed over distributed data in data partitions stored in a plurality of data centers can be received. Moreover, a query execution plan for the analytical query can be generated, where the query execution plan includes tasks. Further, replication strategies for the data partitions can be determined. A replication strategy for a particular data partition can specify one or more data centers to which the particular data partition is to be replicated if the particular data partition is to be replicated. The tasks of the query execution plan for the analytical query can further be scheduled to the data centers based on the replication strategies for the data partitions. The analytical query can be part of a workload of analytical queries.

Abstract: A direct mate orthogonal connector for a high density of high speed signals. The connector may include right angle leadframe assemblies with signal conductive elements and ground shields held by a leadframe housing. High frequency performance may be achieved with members on the leadframe that transfer force between a connector housing, holding the leadframe assemblies, and a portion of the leadframe housing holding the signal conductive elements and the shields near their mounting ends. Core members may be inserted into the housing and mating ends of the conductive elements of ground shields may be adjacent the core members, enabling electrical and mechanical performance of the mating interface to be defined by the core members. The core members may incorporate insulative and lossy features that may be complex to form as part of the connector housing but may be readily formed as part of a separate core member.
