  • Patent number: 11531346
Abstract: An autonomous vehicle can obtain state data associated with an object in an environment, obtain map data including information associated with spatial relationships between at least a subset of lanes of a road network, and determine a set of candidate paths that the object may follow in the environment based at least in part on the spatial relationships between at least two lanes of the road network. Each candidate path can include a respective set of spatial cells. The autonomous vehicle can determine, for each candidate path, a predicted occupancy for each spatial cell of the respective set of spatial cells of such candidate path during at least a portion of a prediction time horizon. The autonomous vehicle can generate prediction data associated with the object based at least in part on the predicted occupancy for each spatial cell of the respective set of spatial cells for at least one candidate path.

  • Patent number: 11533240
Abstract: A recommendation system for recommending a target feature value for a target feature for a target deployment is provided. The recommendation system, for each of a plurality of deployments, collects feature values for the features of that deployment. The recommendation system then generates a model for recommending a target feature value for the target feature based on the collected feature values of the features for the deployments. The recommendation system applies the model to the features of the target deployment to identify a target feature value for the target feature. The recommendation system then provides the identified target feature value as a recommendation for the target feature for the target deployment.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods of treating wastewater using a membrane bioreactor and achieving a target phosphorus concentration for the membrane permeate stream. These methods include the steps of dosing a wastewater stream with a rare earth clarifying agent and passing the dosed wastewater stream through the membrane to obtain a membrane permeate stream with a permeate concentration that is less than the phosphorus concentration of the influent stream. This permeate concentration also can be equal to or less than a target phosphorus concentration. In the methods as disclosed herein, the rare earth clarifying agent can be chloride salts of one or more rare earth elements and in certain embodiments, the rare earth clarifying agent can be CeCl3 and LaCl3.

The first jaw assembly is operative to engage, in response to rotation in the first direction, the implant using spherical jaw members disposed in constrictive helical channels. The implant driver includes a second jaw assembly comprising a helical cam surface corresponding with a second direction of rotation. The second jaw assembly is operative to engage, in response to rotation in the second direction, the implant using spherical jaw members disposed in constrictive helical channels. Absent rotation of the first and second jaw assemblies, the spherical jaws may not restrict relative axial movement between the implant and the implant driver to allow for advancement and/or retraction of the instrument relative to the implant.

  • Patent number: 11529585
Abstract: Methods and systems for treating volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated in a hydrocarbon treating process are disclosed. An effluent stream containing the VOCs, as well as carbon dioxide (CO2) is combined with hot exhaust gas from a turbine and provided to a waste heat recovery unit (WHRU). The WHRU is adapted to contain a catalyst bed containing oxidation catalyst capable of effecting the oxidation of the VOCs. The temperature of the catalyzing reaction can be tailored based on the position of the catalyst bed within the temperature gradient of the WHRU. The methods and systems described herein solve the problem of effecting the removal of VOCs from the effluent. Heating the CO2-containing effluent in the WHRU also lend buoyancy to the effluent, thereby facilitating its dispersal upon release.
