Abstract: A solar thermophotovoltaic system has a heat exchanger containing a heat exchange fluid, and a thin-film integrated spectrally-selective plasmonic absorber emitter (ISSAE) in direct contact with an outer surface of the heat exchanger, the ISSAE including an ultra-thin non-shiny metal layer that is strongly absorbing in a solar spectral range and strongly reflective in an infrared spectral range. The metal layer has an inner surface in direct contact with an outer surface of the heat exchanger. A photovoltaic cell support structure with an inner surface in a concentric configuration partially surrounds the ISSAE; and an airgap separates the support structure and the outer surface of the metal layer. Photovoltaic cells are arranged on a portion of the inner surface of the support structure to receive emissions from the ISSAE, and a solar energy collector/concentrator allows solar radiation to impinge a portion of the metal layer.

Abstract: In consumer-market containers for beverages or other contents under pressure, the cap provides a gas-tight seal by way of two mechanisms that work interdependently. The first is a pressure grip configured to grip the outside wall of the container. The second is twist threads, or some other second attachment structure, that urges the inside of the cap (or, typically, a cap liner disposed thereon) against the rim of the container. Release of pressurized gases when the container is first opened can be by way of release vents in the cap, or via the bottom of the cap through the twist thread area. In the latter case, particular configurations of the pressure grip are relied on to establish the gas escape path.

The server can generate a first set of game data and transmit the game data to the first computer. It can then receive a first set of hands data from the first computer. Abstract: Replication of a filesystem or a mount point or share may replicate all data that it consists of irrespective of where the data is stored. Replication protects data irrespective of location. One method is to replicate the filesystem namespace as is while skipping the data outside of the appliance/machine so that replication cost and time are reasonable. The data outside of the machine, like cloud/tape data is protected differently. One example method includes a data protection operation configured to replication a namespace associated with multiple data tiers. During replication, data from one of the tiers is skipped while all of the namespace metadata is replicated. The recovery restores the namespace metadata and the data that was replicated from the other tier. This may be performed in connection with cyber security, for example when replicating multi-tier data to a vault.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are set forth for providing digital and non-digital content to a segment of a population that is identified using geolocation data and other activity data. In some implementations, non-digital content is delivered via postal mail to a segment of a population according to whether the segment of the population viewed certain content before, during, or after visiting a particular geographic location. In other implementations, digital content, such as phone calls or voice messages, can be delivered to a segment of a population according whether the segment of the population is present or has recently been present at a particular location and previously viewed certain content associated with the location. Segmenting populations in this way can conserve computational resources and materials that might otherwise be wasted on serving a larger population that may have less of an interest in the content.
