  • Patent number: 11425428
Abstract: A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented. In one embodiment of the geolocationing system, a vertical and horizontal array of gateway devices is provided. Each gateway device includes a gateway device identification providing an accurately-known fixed location within the multi-space environment. Each gateway device includes a wireless transceiver that receives a beacon signal from a proximate wireless-enabled personal locator device. The gateway devices, in turn, send gateway signals to a server, which determines estimated location of the wireless-enabled personal location device with trilateration and received signal strength modeling.

  • Patent number: 11420655
Abstract: Described is a system for competency assessment of an autonomous system. The system extracts semantic concepts representing a situation. Actions taken by the autonomous system are associated with semantic concepts that are activated when the actions are taken in the situation. The system measures an outcome of the actions taken in the situation and generates a reward metric. The semantic concepts representing the situation are stored as a memory with the actions taken in the situation and the reward metric as a memory. A prospective simulation is generated based on recall of the memory. A competency metric and an experience metric are determined. Competent operational control of the autonomous system is maintained when at least one of the competency metric and the experience metric is above a minimum value. An alert is generated when at least one of the competency metric and the experience metric falls below the minimum value.

  • Patent number: 11422696
Abstract: In some examples, a system executes a program that generates a user interface (UI) screen, provides a user input event to the program during execution, and captures images of the UI screen before and after the user input event. The system determines, based on the captured images, whether a first region of the UI screen changed in response to the user input event, and indicates the first region as a user interactive region and adds an element representing the user interactive region to a representation of user interactive regions of a UI of the program.

  • Patent number: 11423470
Abstract: A system for enabling remote management of storage facilities has a videoconferencing system that allows a remote sales agent to communicate with customers at any of a plurality of storage facilities. When a customer enters a main office of a storage facility, the presence of the customer is sensed by one or more sensor nodes, and the remote sales agent is alerted to the customer's presence. In response, a videoconference call with the sales agent is established so that the customer sees an image of and may interact with the sales agent through the videoconferencing system. After the call, the sale agent may tend to other activities, such as communicating with other customers at the same facility or other storage facilities. If the customer desires to speak with the agent, the customer may provide a user input that automatically establishes a call with the same sales agent, if available.

  • Patent number: 11421263
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of detecting nucleic acids. The nucleic acid of interest may be detected by using Cas endonuclease to degrade substantially all nucleic acid in a sample except for the nucleic acid of interest, leaving the nucleic acid of interest isolated and amenable to detection. In related methods, Cas endonuclease complexes are used to protect the nucleic acid of interest while unprotected nucleic acid is digested, e.g., by exonuclease, after which the isolated nucleic acid of interest is detected.

  • Patent number: 11422608
Abstract: Techniques involve: if it is determined that a power supply level of a processing unit in a normal mode in a computer system is lower than a threshold level, determining the remaining power of a battery backup unit in the computer system; and if it is determined that the remaining power is higher than the threshold power, causing the battery backup unit to supply power to the processing unit to maintain the processing unit in the normal mode. Accordingly, the performance of the computer system can be optimized and stabilized without increasing the hardware cost of the computer system or changing the power supply capability of the computer system, and the user experience of users using the computer system can be improved.
