Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to receive an instruction to revoke an authorization for an operator to operate a vehicle; after receiving the instruction, permit the operator to operate the vehicle until the vehicle is turned off and a condition is met; and upon the vehicle being off and the condition being met, prevent the operator from operating the vehicle. The condition depends on a status of the vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automating a take-out ordering process. In an embodiment, menu data is imported from a restaurant Point-of-Sale (POS) system over at least one network. The menu data may comprise a plurality of menu items. A menu user interface is generated. The menu user interface may comprise one or more menu screens, which comprise a subset of one or more of the plurality of menu items. A selection of at least one menu item from the subset may be received from a user. Up-sell options can be determined and provided to the user. Once completed, an order is sent to the restaurant POS system over the at least one network. The order can comprise the selected menu item(s) and any of the up-sell options selected by the user.

Abstract: A system is provided for interpreting real-time voice communications and generating action plan queues to assist a sales representative during a call. The system includes an analytics module configured to identify voice call data between the sales representative and the other party and select voice impressions in the call for analysis. The analytics module further receives the voice impressions and interpret the impressions, associates at least one attribute and at least one value with each voice impression, and creates a conversation profile based on the at least one attribute and the at least one value associated with the voice impressions. The analytics module further determines action plan queues according to the conversation profile and render the action plan queues to the sales representative during the call.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for cleaning and sanitizing objects are discussed herein. An object may include an unpowered object such as a shopping cart or a powered object such as a power wheel-chair. A sanitization structure may be connected to a reservoir and may apply a sanitizing agent to the object via one or more nozzles. A drying structure may apply filtered gas such as filtered air to the object via one or more air ducts. An ultraviolet (UV) light structure may apply UV light to the object via one or more UV lamps. A UV curtain structure may include one or more curtains that block the UV light. A bumper rail may guide the object received by the various structures from an entrance side to an exit side of the various structures.

Abstract: A driving method for driving an electrophoretic display comprising four types of particles, the first type of particles and the third type of particles are positively charged, and the second type of particles and the fourth type of particles are negatively charged, the method comprises the steps of: (i). applying a first driving voltage to the pixel of the electrophoretic display for a first period of time at a first amplitude to drive the pixel to a color state of the fourth type of particle at the viewing side; and (ii). applying a second driving voltage to the pixel of the electrophoretic display for a second period of time, opposite to that of the first driving voltage and a second amplitude smaller than that of the first amplitude, to drive the second type particle towards the non-viewing side.

Abstract: Systems and methods for analysis of execution patterns for applications executing on remote devices. In some implementations of the system, a knowledge base stores successful traces from a plurality of instances of an application and one or more computing processors in the system receive, via a network interface, call-stack information from an instance of the application executing on a remote device, call-stack information including periodic captures of an execution status for the instance of the application, and determine whether there is a similarity between the call-stack information received from the instance of the application and the stored plurality of successful traces. Responsive to determining a similarity, the computing processors add the remote device to a population of devices likely to execute the object and facilitate further actions specific to the device population.

Abstract: Drone systems and methods for delayed package delivery includes, in an air traffic control system configured to manage UAV flight in a geographic region, communicating to one or more UAVs over one or more wireless networks; directing a UAV, in transit, to deliver a package to a delivery location and following a flight plan provided to the UAV by the air traffic control system or a drone operator, to hold a position; and directing the UAV to deliver the package after holding the position.

Abstract: A charge pump includes first and second multiplier stages including first and second capacitor in series with an input node, a final multiplier stage including an output capacitor in series with the second capacitor and an output node, and pre-charge circuitry. The pre-charge circuitry is configured to charge the output capacitor to a first level during an initial phase of a charging operation, wherein the first level is equal to a supply voltage of the data storage system, and decouple a charging path of the pre-charge circuitry from the output capacitor in response to the output capacitor being charged to the first level. The first and second multiplier stages are configured to increase the charge of the output capacitor to second and third levels higher than the first level during second and third phases of the charging operation.

A viewing parameter associated with playback of the video content may be determined. A contrast sensitivity function (CSF) may be determined based on the frame, the one or more of the luminance pixel data and the chrominance pixel data, and the viewing parameter. A filtered frame may be determined based on the CSF and by applying a filter to a spatial frequency band associated with the frame. The filtered frame may be caused to be output.

Abstract: A memory appliance may be provided comprising a processor, a communication interface, a memory, and a region access unit. The memory may be configured in an address space addressable by the processor. The communication interface may be configured to provide the client access to the region of the memory via client-side memory access before initialization of all of the region. A method to create a virtual copy of memory accessible by client-side memory access is also provided. A system may be provided that memory maps at least a portion of a file to a memory region, wherein a virtual address addressable is generated, and the at least a portion of file is accessible through the memory region at the virtual address. The virtual address may be registered with the communication interface, where registration of the virtual address provides client-side memory access to the memory region.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a field installable connector system. The connector system includes a factory terminated subassembly including a ferrule terminating an optical fiber of an optical fiber cable. The factory terminated subassembly has a small transverse cross-section to facilitate routing through a duct. The connector system also includes a field installable subassembly including various connector components that can be installed after the factory terminated subassembly has been routed through a duct. The components can be sealed and hardened.

Abstract: Some variations provide a system for extracting a product from biomass, comprising: a process chamber having an internal volume; one or more mechanical elements configured to controllably and reversibly mechanically seal the process chamber and reduce the internal volume to mechanically compress the biomass; a fluid port in flow communication with the process chamber; and a collection sub-system in flow communication with the fluid port. Other variations provide a method of extracting a product from biomass, the method comprising: introducing biomass into a process chamber; mechanically sealing the process chamber; mechanically compressing the biomass to release a first fluid material; mechanically decompressing the biomass; introducing an extraction solvent into the process chamber; maintaining process-chamber pressure from about 1 bar to about 1000 bar, wherein the extraction solvent extracts a second fluid material; and recovering the second fluid material from the process chamber.
