Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to blending different types of images captured by different types of cameras employing different sensing modalities based on a dynamic weighting. The dynamic weighting is calculated based on a dynamic quality proxy that serves as an approximation of image quality that may change from image to image. In one example, a first image of a scene is received from a first camera. A dynamic quality proxy is received. A second image of the scene is received from a second camera with a different sensing modality than the first camera. A composite image blended from the first and second images in proportion to a dynamic weighting that is based on the dynamic quality proxy is output.

Abstract: A decoder may receive, for a block and from a bit stream, an indication of a decoder-side affine transform, a prediction mode, and a residual block. The decoder may generate a compensated prediction of the block. For example, the decoder may generate the compensated prediction of the block based on the residual block and the prediction mode. The decoder may generate, based on the indication and for each of a plurality of affine transform parameters, an affine transformation of the compensated prediction. The decoder may determine an affine transform parameter, from the plurality of affine transform parameters, based on a visual quality of each of the affine transformations of the compensated prediction.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for integrating model development control systems and model validation platforms. For example, the methods and systems discussed herein recite the creation and use of a model validation platform. This platform operates outside of the environment of the independently validated models as well as the native platform into which the independently validated models may be incorporated. The model validation platform may itself include a model that systematically validates other independently validated models. The model validation platform may then provide users substantive analysis of a model and its performance through one or more user interface tools such as side-by-side comparisons, recommended adjustments, and/or a plurality of adjustable model attributes for use in validating an inputted model.

Abstract: Described are method and system embodiments for monitoring segmentation messages of a digital video stream. In some embodiments, a method is performed at an electronic device with a display and operated by a user. The method includes monitoring the digital video stream for segmentation messages and detecting a segmentation message in the digital video stream. Then, a validity of the detected segmentation message is determined based on a previously-detected segmentation message. The user is notified of the determined validity of the segmentation message using the display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing and distributing a live audio stream of a live event in real-time to a plurality of mobile computing devices are described. The system comprises at least one memory configured to store computer-executable instructions and processing device(s) coupled to the at least one memory and at least one audio input device configured to receive the live audio stream. Upon receipt of the live audio stream, the processing device(s) generate, in real-time, a plurality of discrete audio data packets from the live audio stream, and transmit that respective discrete audio data packet over a first network for receipt by the mobile computing devices. In respect of each one of the discrete audio data packets, a copy of the discrete audio data packet is transmitted for receipt by each one of the mobile computing devices prior to transmitting another one of the discrete audio data packets.
Abstract: An audible response self-healing target having a generally flat shell mated with a generally flat metal strike plate. The shell has a “self-healing” polymer “target zone”, and tabs that hold the metal plate parallel to the target zone with a small gap of approximately one-half inch. The shell rotatably mounts onto a pole, such that when a projectile, such as a bullet slug, impacts the target's strike zone, the slug penetrates the polymer and strikes the metal plate, kinetically causing the target to rotate about the pole and also causing the metal plate to generate an audible response.
Abstract: The disclosed systems facilitate collection and management of personal data management documentation requirements and associated data. A master questionnaire is used to solicit information regarding documentation requirements for several contexts in a single interaction and responsive data can be mapped to questionnaires and/or datasets for particular contexts, such as jurisdictions and business sectors. The system can generate graphical user interfaces for presenting the documentation requirement data for a particular context by generating an interface with navigational elements for various contexts, detecting browser state data indicating user manipulation of one or more such elements, and generating a subsequent graphical user interface based on the browser context data.

Abstract: A modular, solar energy system comprising one or more modular solar panels. The solar panels include a pair of general planar, plates that are secured together to form a narrow channel therebetween for the circulation of a liquid. The solar panels have inlet and outlet fluid lines in fluid communication via manifolds with a cold fluid supply line and a warm fluid return line, respectively. The plates are preferably constructed of aluminum and one plate has a photovoltaic cell matrix affixed thereto to face the sun. The plates have dividers or partitions that enhance the heat transfer characteristics with respect to the liquid flowing though the channel between the plates.
Abstract: A processor-implemented method of assessing, via a processor, a purpose connectivity for a user within an organization includes sequentially displaying a set of prompts to the user, via an interface, and based on an engagement schema. A second prompt and each subsequent prompt from the set of prompts being based on a response, from a set of responses, received in response to a preceding prompt from the set of prompts. The assessing also includes calculating the purpose connectivity based on the plurality of responses. In response to detecting that a value of the purpose connectivity is below a predefined threshold, a signal is sent to cause a remedial action.
