Abstract: A combine comprising a feeder housing, and an auger for receiving harvested crop. The auger includes an auger tube rotatable around an auger axis, and a tined-tube positioned inside the auger tube and rotatable around a tined-tube axis that is offset from the auger axis, the tined-tube including fingers extending from the tined-tube and protruding through the auger tube to convey the harvested crop to the feeder housing.
Abstract: A system for assembling roofing at ground level has an adjustable-length center frame separating a first assembly side from a second assembly side; a first cantilevered gantry on the first assembly side and a second cantilevered gantry on a second side, each cantilevered gantry moveable along the length of the center frame; a plurality of outrigger beams coupled to opposing ends of the center beam, each outrigger beam having a catwalk thereon; a first joist railing and a second joist railing on each assembly side, each joist railing configured to receive an end of an open web joist; and a base frame comprising a plurality of wheels. Once the roofing section has been assembled, hoisting the assembled roofing section to the top of a structure.

Abstract: Pointers are added to a 3D volumetric dataset to help the user visualize the direction of blood flow. A 3D volume containing at least one blood vessel is created. Next, the direction of the blood flow is determined. Next, at least pointer is placed into the 3D volume in an aligned fashion with the direction of blood flow such that the 3D volume is modified. Next, the modified 3D volume is displayed on a head display unit, such as an augmented reality or virtual reality display. Next, at least one pointer is advanced to a new position for additional modification of the 3D imaging volume.

Abstract: An access card may store an encrypted operation key and a key used to read the encrypted operation key from the access card. The encrypted operation key and the key may be based on a unique identifier (UID) of the access card. The encrypted operation key may be obtained by encrypting an operation key using a cryptographic key that is also based on the UID of the access card. An access card reader may read the UID from the access card and use it to generate the key used to read the encrypted operation key from the access card. The access card read may also use the UID read from the access card to generate a cryptographic key used to decrypt the encrypted operation key. The access card reader may validate the decrypted operation key and determine whether to grant or deny access, for example, via an access control device.
Abstract: A device includes a cover and a base. The base is coupled to the cover to create an enclosure. The device also includes a form-in-place-gasket. The form-in-place-gasket is positioned between the cover and the base to create a seal. The form-in-place-gasket includes an acid-absorbing material.
Abstract: A doped fiber amplifier is proposed that includes both a Ho-doped amplifier (used as a preamplifier) and a Tm-doped amplifier (used as a power amplifier). The Ho-doped preamplifier typically uses a single clad (SC) optical fiber as the gain element, with both the propagating signal and pump beam introduced into the Ho-doped core of the SC fiber. The Tm-doped power amplifier typically utilizes a double clad (DC) optical fiber as the gain element, which allows for a multimode pump to propagate within the Tm-doped core region and inner cladding, providing efficient high power amplification of the signal received at its input.

Abstract: The present invention provides for a mechanism to reduce glycerol production and increase nitrogen utilization and ethanol production of recombinant microorganisms. One aspect of this invention relates to strains of S. cerevisiae with reduced glycerol productivity that get a kinetic benefit from higher nitrogen concentration without sacrificing ethanol yield. A second aspect of the invention relates to metabolic modifications resulting in altered transport and/or intracellular metabolism of nitrogen sources present in corn mash.
Abstract: Based upon the transition information for all the retail stores, a determination is made of an average cluster retention score. The average cluster retention score is a measure of how many retail stores have moved from original to different existing sales clusters in the current sales period. When the average cluster retention score is below a predetermined threshold, a complete re-organization of the existing sales clusters is performed. When the average cluster retention score is above the predetermined threshold, a determination is made as to whether each retail store should be re-classified.
