Abstract: A method of coupling a first portion of an anatomy to a second portion of the anatomy includes coupling first and second bones of the anatomy with a bone-tendon-bone implant. The bone-tendon-bone implant has a first bone end, a second bone end and a replacement tendon between the first and second bone ends. The first and second bone ends are positioned in corresponding first and second bores of the first and second bones. The first bone end is secured to the first bone with a first bone anchor. A second anchor coupled to the bone-tendon-bone implant is passed through and outside the second bore. The second anchor is coupled to an adjustable suture construct having two adjustable suture loops. Tensioning at least one of first and second ends of the adjustable suture construct tensions the replacement tendon and positions the first bone relative to the second bone.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a synthetic (virtual) orthopedic treatment device (e.g. a virtual external fixator representing a physical fixator attachable to a patients anatomic structure) is displayed concurrently in two views (e.g. anterior-posterior and lateral) along corresponding digital medical images (e.g. X-rays), and rotation/translation user input received along one of the images is used to concurrently control both displays of the orthopedic treatment device to reflect the rotation/translation user input.

Abstract: The invention provides a process to purify a gas stream by using an adsorbent bed and a secondary device to remove heavy hydrocarbons with a recycle stream then sent first to a vessel containing an amine solvent to remove acid gases including carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide and then in most embodiments of the invention sending the treated gas stream to a dehydration unit such as an adsorbent bed or to a triethylene glycol absorbent to remove water. The invention further provides improved integration of the process streams to allow for smaller amine solvent and dehydration units as compared to the prior art.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for managing the utilization of shared memory resources among a plurality of asynchronous replication workloads. A data replication system maintains a respective replication journal for each replication workload in an allocated portion of system memory of a source server node. Each replication journal is divided into journal barrier intervals by respective individual barriers for transmission to a destination server node. The data replication system waits for a triggering event to occur for generating a common barrier, wherein the triggering event is configured to prevent exhaustion of the allocated portion of system memory for storing the replication journals. The common barrier is generated to close the replication journals of some or all of the replication workloads in advance of the respective individual barriers associated, and the replication journals closed by the common barrier are transmitted to the destination server node.

Abstract: A method and system for decoding a coded video sequence may include obtaining the coded video sequence, and decoding the coded video sequence. A value of a temporal sublayer identifier of a video coding layer (VCL) network abstraction layer (NAL) unit in the coded video sequence is constrained to be less than or equal to a value of vps_max_sublayers_minus1, that specifies a maximum number of temporal sublayers that may be present in a layer in each coded video sequence referring to the video parameter set (VPS), in the VPS referred to by the VCL NAL unit.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, cohort-based generalized linear mixed effect model (GLMIX) training is performed to identify patterns across cohorts of users, rather than slicing across all users blindly without accounting for common characteristics of users. Thus, rather than performing GLMIX training at just the finest granular level (e.g., user-level and job-level) or the highest level (global level), a “medium” level of granularity is used to train the GLMIX model at cohort-level.
Abstract: Techniques for configuring paths for transmitting I/O operations may include: configuring a first path over which logical devices are exposed over a first port of a data storage system to a second port of a host, wherein the logical devices include a first logical device having a first service level objective and a second logical device having a second service level objective denoting a lower service level than the first service level objective; determining whether there is a service level objective violation of the first service level for the first logical device; and responsive to determining there is a service level objective violation for the first logical device, performing first processing that exposes the first logical device and the second logical device over different ports of the data storage system. Masking information may indicate which logical devices are exposed over which data storage system ports to which host ports.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique uses a generative adversarial network (GAN) to jointly train a generator neural network (“generator”) and a discriminator neural network (“discriminator”). Unlike traditional GAN designs, the discriminator performs the dual role of: (a) determining one or more attribute values associated with an object depicted in input image fed to the discriminator; and (b) determining whether the input image fed to the discriminator is real or synthesized by the generator. Also unlike traditional GAN designs, an image classifier can make use of a model produced by the GAN's discriminator. The generator receives generator input information that includes a conditional input image and one or more conditional values that express desired characteristics of the generator output image. The discriminator receives the conditional input image in conjunction with a discriminator input image, which corresponds to either the generator output image or a real image.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for video coding are provided. Prediction information of a block is decoded from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information of the block indicates an intra prediction direction mode number. An intra prediction direction mode is determined based on the indicated intra prediction direction mode number and a shape of the block. At least one sample of the block is reconstructed according to the determined intra prediction direction mode.
