In various aspects, the dental appliance may include a body removably attachable to one or more teeth selected from premolars and molars, and a flange extending forth from lingual portions of the body to contact a tongue at one or more locations proximate the premolars and the molars in order to cause a contraction of the genioglossus that positions the tongue anteriorly and downward toward the mandible by stimulation of the hypoglossal nerve. The dental appliance may include a connector connected to the body, and the connector may pass about buccal-labial sides of the anterior teeth. A bumper may be included on a labial side of the connector, and the bumper may contact the lips to promote pursed lips breathing. An anterior flange may extend lingually from the connector to stimulate the hypoglossal nerve proximate a tip of the tongue in order to cause contraction of the genioglossus to position the tongue anteriorly and downward toward the mandible.

  • Patent number: 11264110
Abstract: Apparatuses and techniques are described for periodically refreshing word line voltages in a block of memory cells based on the susceptibility of the block to read errors. One source of read errors is delayed read disturb which results from a low word line voltage during idle periods of the memory device. In one aspect, periodic refresh operations are optimized based on factors such as a number of bits per cell in the block and number of program-erase (P-E) cycles. For example, at high P-E cycles, the amplitude of a refresh voltage for a single-level cell (SLC) block can be 0 V or lower while the amplitude of a refresh voltage for a multi-level cell (MLC) block can be an intermediate voltage between 0 V and a pass voltage.

  • Patent number: 11260407
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for injecting fuel through three different rows of injector nozzles, where each row of the injector nozzle is arranged along a different vertical plane of the injector body. In one example, an injector needle housed movably inside the injector body may supply high-pressure fuel to each of the rows of injector nozzles sequentially to deliver up to five fuel injections in one actuation cycle of the fuel injector. In another example, a fuel injector may include three injector needles, where movement of each injector needle inside a respective chamber of the fuel injector body may supply high-pressure fuel to the chamber from where the fuel may be injected through the coupled fuel injector nozzles.

  • Patent number: 11265882
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting wireless medium sharing in wireless communications systems, e.g., various 802.11 wireless communications systems, are described. A novel shared transmission type of trigger frame is implemented, which allows a wireless station, acting as a host station, to make available transmission resources, which have been acquired by the wireless station, to one or more guest stations. A shared transmission type of trigger frame, generated and transmitted by the host station communicates information identifying the attributes of a corresponding trigger based (TB) frame, information identifying resources of the TB frame to be used by the host station and information identifying one or more set of shared resources which may be used by guest station(s). The trigger based (TB) frame, corresponding to the transmitted shared transmission type trigger frame, is used by the host station and one or more guest stations to transmit data to an access point.

  • Patent number: 11264747
Abstract: A connector has a housing configured to mate with a second housing, a pair of slide members movably mounted on the housing, and a lever pivotably attached to the housing and slidably coupled to the slide members. Each slide member has a cam groove in a side surface which provides an angled lead-in surface into the cam groove and cam surfaces engageable with a cam follower post of the second housing. A blocking shoulder partially blocking an opening of the cam groove to prevent entry of the cam follower post unless the cam follower post is in a correct position. When the cam follower post engages the angled lead-in surface, this provides a visual and tactile indication to a user that the connector is ready to be mated with the second housing.

  • Patent number: 11265632
Abstract: This document describes a speaker-integration system and associated devices and systems. The speaker-integration system includes a speaker that is re-workably mounted, via an elastomeric gasket, to an intermediate structure that is mountable to an outer enclosure of an electronic device. The intermediate structure forms a cavity in which the speaker is sealed, effective to use the cavity as the speaker's back volume to contain acoustic waves without impacting other structures in the electronic device. The front of the speaker is sealed against the outer enclosure by a gasket that controls, based on its placement and geometry, axial and radial directions of the speaker relative to the intermediate structure to prevent the speaker from buzzing against surrounding rigid parts. The speaker has wires that exit the back volume via a detachable grommet, which controls positioning of the wires to prevent rub and buzz against surrounding parts.

  • Patent number: 11260742
Abstract: One axle of a hybrid vehicle is powered by an electric motor while a second axle of the vehicle is powered by a powertrain that includes an internal combustion engine. The electrically driven axle can be controlled in a speed control mode or in a torque control mode based on a driver demanded torque. The speed control mode is used when slip is detected at the electrically driven axle. The torque control mode is used when the electrically driven axle has traction. During a transition between these modes, the rate of change of torque is controlled to a predetermined level to mitigate noise, vibration, and harshness.
