  • Patent number: 11259388
Abstract: Techniques for employing an enhanced light device to determine desirable information to a user are presented. Such light device(s) can comprise or be associated with a light management component (LMC) that can employ sensors to monitor respective characteristics or conditions of a device, an environment, and/or a user to determine respective contexts for the device, environment, or user, wherein the user can interact with or be in proximity to the device or environment. The light device(s) collects data, including sensor data, relating to the device or environment from the device, the environment, or other data sources. The LMC determines a desirable subset of information to present to the user based on the respective contexts. The LMC facilitates presenting the desirable subset of information to the user via the light device or a communication device of the user that is communicatively connected to the light device.

  • Patent number: 11256540
Abstract: For each server under consideration for container migration, whether the server has a value for a first parameter that precludes the server from being migrated to a container is determined. Each server having a value that precludes the serve from being migrated to a container is removed from further consideration. For each server remaining under consideration, a value of the server for each second parameter of a number of second parameters is determined, and the values of the server for the second parameters are weighted to yield a weight for the server. The servers remaining under consideration for migration are ranked based at least on the weights for the servers, yielding an order in which the servers are to migrated.

  • Patent number: 11256687
Abstract: Technologies described herein relate to surfacing relationships between datasets. Datasets in a collection of datasets are assigned terms that are descriptive of content of the datasets. Co-occurrences of the terms in source documents that include unstructured text are identified, and relationships between datasets is identified based upon the co-occurrences of the terms in the source documents. The relationships between datasets are visualized in accordance with visualization instructions set forth by a user.

  • Patent number: 11256868
Abstract: A method of disambiguating user queries in a multi-turn dialogue including a set of user utterances. The method includes using a predefined language model to recognize an ambiguous entity in an unresolved user utterance from the multi-turn dialogue, and using the predefined language model to recognize entity constraints of the ambiguous entity. The method further includes, in a computer-accessible conversation history of the multi-turn dialogue, searching a set of previously-resolved entities for a candidate entity having entity properties with a highest confidence correspondence to the entity constraints of the ambiguous entity. The unresolved user utterance is rewritten as a rewritten utterance that replaces the ambiguous entity with the candidate entity. The rewritten utterance is output to one or more query answering machines.

  • Patent number: 11252953
Abstract: The combination of a repellent agent or an attractant agent with a wavelength-specific visual cue agent has been found to produce an unexpected and synergistic effect of increased repellency or attraction in dichromatic animals who are not maximally sensitive to the wavelength of the repellent or attractant agent. The method of the invention may be used to repel dichromatic-animal pests; or to prevent or minimize monetary damage, particularly to agricultural products, natural resources or private property. The method of the invention may also be used to attract dichromatic animals for the purpose of agricultural production, recreational opportunities (e.g., wild-rodent feeders), or the effective administration of target-animal pharmaceuticals or mitigation techniques.

  • Patent number: 11257328
Abstract: A system and method for operating a game of chance. A gaming system includes a primary game display and secondary game display with the secondary game display mapped with prize blocks arranged in a grid that may generally mimic a primary game grid. The prize blocks can be represented as characters, articles, numeral values, symbols and the like. Each prize block is assigned a prize value and a health value. When the health value of a prize block is exhausted based on primary game outcomes, the prize block is destroyed and removed awarding its corresponding prize value. New prize blocks fill the void left by removed prize blocks or the void remains as a space without any assigned prize value. A bonus trigger model also serves to reduce “cold streaks” during which players may lose interest.
