Abstract: Image sensors, imaging systems, and methods for eliminating blooming artifacts in high dynamic range imaging. The image sensor includes a pixel array and a controller. The controller is configured to detect that a first pixel signal is at or below a barrier value. The first pixel signal is generated during a first exposure. The controller is also configured to compare neighboring pixel signals to the barrier value. The controller is further configured to determine a first image value for the center pixel based on a second pixel signal when at least one of the neighboring pixel signals is above the barrier value. The second pixel signal is generated during a second exposure that is shorter than the first exposure. The controller is also configured to set the first image value to the first pixel signal when each of the neighboring pixel signals is at or below the barrier value.

Abstract: A system and method of re-identifying players in a broadcast video feed are provided herein. A computing system retrieves a broadcast video feed for a sporting event. The broadcast video feed includes a plurality of video frames. The computing system generates a plurality of tracks based on the plurality of video frames. Each track includes a plurality of image patches associated with at least one player. Each image patch of the plurality of image patches is a subset of the corresponding frame of the plurality of video frames. For each track, the computing system generates a gallery of image patches. A jersey number of each player is visible in each image patch of the gallery. The computing system matches, via a convolutional autoencoder, tracks across galleries. The computing system measures, via a neural network, a similarity score for each matched track and associates two tracks based on the measured similarity.

Abstract: An external fixation system includes first and second fixation members having first and second pluralities of mounting holes, respectively. The first and second plurality of holes are configured to receive first and second ends of a plurality of struts, each strut having a default or initial mounting position. A simulation of the correction may be performed with the struts in the default positions, but it may be determined that the correction is not achievable. Additional simulations of the correction may be performed with the ends of the struts in different mounting positions to determine if other mounting positions of the struts allow the correction to be completed. During the correction, if one of the struts reaches a maximum length, it may be disconnected and reconnected to a different mounting hole so that, after being reconnected, the strut may be further increased in length to continue the correction.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for performing an additive manufacturing operation to form a structure by processing a photopolymer resist material. A laser beam is directed at a tunable mask. At least one emergent beam is collected from a plurality of emergent beams emerging from the tunable mask. The at least one emergent beam is collimated to create a collimated beam. Each emergent beam from the tunable mask has a plurality of beamlets of varying or identical intensity, and each beamlet emerges from a unique subsection or region of the tunable mask. The collimated beam is focused into a laser beam which is projected as an image plane onto or within the photopolymer resist material, such that the same optical path length is created between the tunable mask and the focused image plane for all optical frequencies of the focused laser beam.
