  • Patent number: 12188767
Abstract: A system includes a displacement-type capacitive sensor probe and at least one processor and at least one memory. The at least one memory stores instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to calibrate the sensor probe to a known dielectric constant of a first material, send an instruction to the sensor probe to measure a capacitive response of a composite article comprising the first material and a second material, receive the measured capacitive response from the calibrated sensor probe, determine, based on the measured capacitive response, an equivalent thickness of the first material in the composite article, and determine a percentage of the first material in the composite article based on the equivalent thickness of the first material and a thickness of the composite article.

  • Patent number: 12189824
Abstract: An integrated circuit chip can provide protection with registers of a register file. A processor can be part of general or security-oriented (e.g., root-of-trust (RoT)) circuitry. In described implementations, the processor includes multiple register blocks for storing multiple register values. The processor also includes multiple integrity blocks for storing multiple integrity codes. A respective integrity block is associated with a respective register block. The respective integrity block can store a respective integrity code that is derived from a respective register value that is stored in the respective register block. The integrity code can enable detection or correction of one or more corrupted bits in the register value. An integrity controller of the processor can monitor the register value regularly or in response to an access by an execution unit. The controller can take a protective action if corruption is detected. This enables information protection to extend to processor execution units.

  • Patent number: 12189847
Abstract: An electronic device (e.g., a smartphone or tablet) can be connected to another electronic device that is typically a computing device (e.g., a mobile device such as a laptop or a non-mobile device such as a desktop computer or workstation), allowing the electronic devices to be used together. This connection can be a wired connection or a wireless connection. The relative location of one of the electronic devices relative to the other of the electronic devices is automatically determined by analyzing changes in the gaze of the user of the electronic devices. An indication of the position of one of the electronic devices relative to the other is then displayed on one of the electronic devices.

  • Patent number: 12190624
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to acquire biometric information on small animals without being affected by the movements of the small animals and also without giving stress to the small animals. The present invention includes the steps of: acquiring pieces of image information on a hand and/or a foot of a quadrupedal small animal; extracting a predetermined piece of signal information from among the pieces of image information that have been acquired; and processing the predetermined piece of the signal information which has been extracted so as to acquire biometric information on the small animal. The present invention further includes the step of capturing an image of an abdominal side of the small animal, and the step of capturing an image of the small animal from below a location of the small animal.

  • Patent number: 12190892
Abstract: Some implementations relate to performing speech biasing, NLU biasing, and/or other biasing based on historical assistant interaction(s). It can be determined, for one or more given historical interactions of a given user, whether to affect future biasing for (1) the given user account, (2) additional user account(s), and/or (3) the shared assistant device as a whole. Some implementations disclosed herein additionally and/or alternatively relate to: determining, based on utterance(s) of a given user to a shared assistant device, an association of first data and second data; storing the association as accessible to a given user account of the given user; and determining whether to store the association as also accessible by additional user account(s) and/or the shared assistant device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for time marking of media items at a platform using machine learning are provided herein. A media item to be provided to users of a platform is identified. The media item includes two or more content segments. An indication of the identified media item is provided as input to a machine learning model. The machine learning model is trained using to predict, for a given media item, content segments of the given media item depicting an event of interest to the one or more users. One or more outputs of the machine learning model are obtained. The one or more obtained outputs include event data identifying each content segment of the media item and an indication of a level of confidence that each respective content segment depicts an event of interest. In response to determining that at least one content segment is associated with a level of confidence that satisfies a level of confidence criterion, the at least one content segment is associated with a bookmark for a timeline of the media item.
