Abstract: Improved chain saws, components for chain saws, methods of making chain saws and components, and methods of using chain saws and components are disclosed. In some embodiments, a chain saw comprises a saw bar and a plurality of links, wherein a first link has a hook that engages a recess of a second link, thereby coupling the first link and the second link and allowing them to articulate without decoupling. The saw bar may have a rail, and the links may have grooves such that the links straddle and ride over the rail. The rail may have a projection and the grooves of the links may have notches accommodating the projection such that the projection prevents dislocation of the links. The links may have conical or pyramidal cutting teeth. The chain may be bidirectional. Robotic and automated operation of saws and other instruments are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method is used for tracking storage utilization in a storage system. An amount of physical storage space available for use on an appliance is determined. The amount of storage space consumed by each type of data being stored on the appliance is normalized. These normalized amounts are used to determine an amount of storage space on the appliance consumed by the data. When a percentage of storage space consumed on the appliance exceeds a threshold, an alert is generated.

Abstract: The present document describes an apparatus for reducing fabric dimpling in electronic devices and associated methods. The apparatus is used during assembly to prevent fabric, which is stretched over a perforated part (e.g., speaker housing), from dimpling into the holes (e.g., perforations) of the perforated part. The apparatus includes protrusions (e.g., pins), which act as a negative of the holes in the perforated part, to support the fabric as it is stretched over the perforated part. In particular, the protrusions are inserted through the perforations via an interior surface of the perforated part such that the protrusions are “proud” (slightly projecting from a surface) with respect to an exterior surface of the perforated part. The proudness of the protrusions may vary based on a degree of curvature of the perforated part at a location corresponding to a respective protrusion.

Abstract: The invention is an article of headwear that incorporates a hair compression system and adjustment system for compressing one or more sections of a wearer's hair. The headwear may be formed of a compression system and an adjustment system. The compression system includes one or more stretchable materials. The compression system may compress along a circumference, side and/or vertical plane of the head of a wearer. The compression system is attached to an adjustment system. The adjustment system allows a user to selectively tighten the compression system to a desired compression to keep the hair of the wearer compressed while wearing the headwear. The desired hair compression is capable of being regulated by the adjustment system. When the user is finished wearing the headwear, the adjustment system may be released to allow the user to remove the headwear without undoing the effects of the compression system.

Abstract: Semiconductor devices, such as a lateral HEMT, may display current flow between a plurality of interdigitated source fingers and drain fingers, and controlled by a common gate connection. An extended source finger contact may enable improved voltage control across the source fingers, even for large devices with many and/or lengthy source fingers.
