Abstract: A wireless device may receive one or more messages comprising one or more configuration parameters for a cell. The cell may comprise a normal uplink (NUL) carrier, a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier, and a downlink carrier comprising at least two downlink bandwidth parts (BWPs). The wireless device may select, for a random-access procedure of the cell, an uplink carrier among the NUL carrier and the SUL carrier based on a measured quality of each downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs. The uplink carrier may be the NUL carrier based on the measured quality of each downlink BWP of the at least two downlink BWPs being equal or greater than an uplink carrier threshold. The wireless device may transmit, via the NUL, a random-access preamble for the random-access procedure.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods, routers, media and apparatus for implementing enhanced UPnP subscriptions. According to an embodiment of the disclosure, there is provided a method for implementing an enhanced UPnP subscription, comprising, by a UPnP-enabled router: receiving a subscription message for a subscription, wherein the subscription message specifies a delivery uniform resource locator (URL), the delivery URL is a location where an event message targeted by the subscription is to be sent; checking, based on a whitelist, whether an IP address or a domain name in the delivery URL is contained in the whitelist; and determining whether to reject the subscription message based on the checking result. Through embodiments of the disclosure, both flexible subscription and high security can be achieved.

Abstract: A mobile tolling application and system for allowing users to pay tolls through the mobile application running on a user mobile device are described. In particular, a mobile application running on a mobile device having a GPS, GLONASS, satellite, or other location receiver receives information regarding the location of the mobile device, compares the location information to known map way points, and sends the location and applicable travel information to a remote server. The remote server forms a route traveled by the vehicle based on received information from the mobile application, retrieves pricing information for tolls on the formed route, and provides calculated tolling information to the mobile application. Users can then select to pay the tolls through the mobile application.

Abstract: Described herein are embodiments of a reinforcement learning based large-scale multi-objective ranking system. Embodiments of the system may be used for optimizing short-video recommendation on a video sharing platform. Multiple competing ranking objective and implicit selection bias in user feedback are the main challenges in real-world platform. In order to address those challenges, multi-gate mixture of experts (MMoE) and soft actor critic (SAC) are integrated together into a MMoE_SAC system. Experiment results demonstrate that embodiments of the MMoE_SAC system may greatly reduce a loss function compared to systems only based on single strategies.

Abstract: Process control parameters for production of hydrogen and FT products by steam/CO2 reforming include controlling steam reformer temperature, addition of steam, CO and optionally, biogas. Optimization of parameters have resulted in increased production of H2, removal of sulfur and halogen contaminants, and control of the H2/CO ratio for efficient generation of Fischer-Tropsch products.

Abstract: A node is provided for capturing information about moving objects at an intersection. The node includes a plurality of first cameras that are positioned to capture first digital images of an intersection from different fields of view and a second camera positioned to capture second digital images in a field of view that is wider than that of each first camera. The node includes a processor that detects in the first and second digital images a set of objects of interest of the intersection, determines motion of each detected object of interest in the set from consecutive images of the first digital images or the second digital images. The node generates, for each object of interest of the set, augmented perception data that includes location data in the global coordinate system and the determined motion of each object of interest in the set.

Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein provide a network-assisted secure access (“NASA”) application that is installed on a user device. The NASA application can enhance current multi-factor authentication processes to prevent unauthorized access by leveraging mobile connectivity data. The enhanced two-factor authentication process is made seamless and transparent to the user by authenticating the mobile connectivity data with data known to the mobile network that serves the user device. The mobile connectivity data can include network-determined location, cell identifier (“cell ID”), Internet protocol (“IP”) address, a globally unique temporary identifier (“GUTI”), combinations thereof, and the like. Additionally or alternatively, one or more user profiles (e.g., user-defined and/or social media profile(s)) can be used to further enhance security.

Abstract: A method for an in-memory distributed cache includes receiving a write request from a client device to write a block of client data in random access memory (RAM) of a memory host and determining whether to allow the write request by determining whether the client device has permission to write the block of client data at the memory host, determining whether the block of client data is currently saved at the memory host, and determining whether a free block of RAM is available. When the client device has permission to write the block of client data at the memory host, the block of client data is not currently saved at the memory host, and a free block of RAM is available, the write request is allowed and the client is allowed to write the block of client data to the free block of RAM.
