    Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to an insulating glass (IG) unit. A spacer is interposed between first and second substrates. The spacer helps maintain the substrates in substantially parallel spaced apart relation to one another, and helps define a cavity therebetween. First and second exterior surfaces of the spacer face interior surfaces of the first and second substrates, respectively. Third and fourth exterior surface of the spacer face towards and away from the cavity, respectively. A membrane is provided over at least a part of the fourth exterior surface of the spacer. A pin protrudes through holes in the third and fourth exterior surfaces of the spacer, and through the membrane. The pin is formed from an electrically conducting material. A structural seal for the IG unit is provided external to the spacer and at least partially surrounds a portion of the pin that protrudes through the membrane.

The power terminals may be made with multiple layers, with each layer formed into one or more fingers. Each finger may be configured to make contact with an edge of a blade inserted in the slot such that each terminal has multiple contact points to the blade and can carry a large current. The slot in the connector housing may have different widths in the signal and power portions and the center lines of those portions may be offset with respect to each other.

    Abstract: A multifaceted capillary that can be used in a wire-bonding machine to create a multi-segment wire-bond is disclosed. The multifaceted capillary is shaped to apply added pressure and thickness to an outer segment of the multi-segment wire-bond that is closest to the wire loop. The added pressure eliminates a gap under a heel portion of the multi-segment wire-bond and the added thickness increases a mechanical strength of the heel portion. As a result, a pull test of the multi-segment wire-bond may be higher than a single-segment wire-bond and the multi-segment wire-bond may resist cracking, lifting, or breaking.

    Abstract: A bolster-actuated folding knife may have a folding knife blade whose opening and closing is controlled by an actuator on the knife's handle. This bolster-actuator may rotate in either of two rotational directions about the same pivot as the knife blade. When a user rotates the bolster-actuator in one direction, the bolster's pin may impinge via direct contact with the knife blade forcing the knife blade fully open. When a rotates the bolster-actuator in the opposite direction bolster-actuator rotation and thus bolster pin deflection may cause the knife's locking tab to disengage from a cutout in the knife blade, unlocking the knife blade from its fully locked-open position and urging the knife blade to close. Thus, the bolster-actuated folding knife may provide a convenient means to open and close a locking, folding knife with only one hand, and without substantial interference with the knife's aesthetic appeal.

By combining both primary and secondary acoustic forces, and taking advantage of centrifugal forces from fluid flow, such that acoustic radiation forces initiate the process of droplet accumulation, and contribute to droplet coalescence, centrifugal separation is enhanced.
