Abstract: Methods are provided to prepare a low sulfur fuel from hydrocarbon sources, such as light tight oil and high sulfur fuel oil, often less desired by conventional refiners, who split crude into a wide range of differing products and may prefer presence of wide ranges (C3 or C5 to C20 or higher) of hydrocarbons. These fuels can be produced by separating feeds into untreated and treated streams, and then recombining them. Such fuels can also be formulated by combinations of light, middle and heavy range constituents in a selected manner as claimed. Not only low in sulfur, the fuels of this invention are also low in nitrogen and essentially metals free. Fuel use applications include on-board large marine transport vessels but also on-shore for large land based combustion gas turbines, boilers, fired heaters and transport vehicles and trains.
Abstract: Example apparatus disclosed include means for detecting encoded information present in audio obtained from a media presentation device, means for generating a signature of the audio, and means for determining an on/off state of the media presentation device based on a gain level, the means for determining to determine the on/off state based on the encoded information detected in the audio or the signature generated from the audio. Disclosed example apparatus also include means for crediting a portion of the audio to first media based on the encoded information or the signature, the means for crediting to credit the audio by overriding (i) a first determination that the media presentation device was in the off state during collection of the audio with (ii) a second determination that the media presentation device was in the on state based on the collection of the audio.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a region of semiconductor material comprising a semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type and having a first major surface. A body region of a second conductivity type opposite to the first conductivity type is disposed in the second semiconductor layer extending from the first major surface. The body region comprises a first segment having a first doping concentration, and a second segment laterally adjacent to the first segment and adjacent to the first major surface having a second doping concentration less than the first doping concentration. Abstract: Provided herein are novel therapeutic compositions and methods that keep cellular immunotherapies in the circulation or at the site of injection for extended periods of time without resorting to the use of cytotoxic preconditioning. For example, the compositions and methods herein lymphodeplete and reduce or ablate sites in the secondary lymphatics where the cellular immunotherapy is bound and sequestered, without the use of cytotoxic preconditioning.
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of performing an aggregation-based determination of resiliency of a cloud computing service to chaos events. Chaos events are executed against a cloud computing service during a time frame that includes multiple time periods. For each chaos event, service health indexes (SHIs) that correspond to the time periods are calculated. Each SHI indicates an extent to which indicators, which represent respective measurements of performance of the cloud computing service during the respective time period, satisfy respective criteria. The SHIs for each chaos event are analyzed to provide a respective resiliency score. At least some of the resiliency scores of the respective chaos events are aggregated to provide an aggregated resiliency score, which represents resiliency of the cloud computing service to the chaos events.

Abstract: The invention comprises novel microwave antennas wherein the microwave field profile generated by an antenna is tailored and optimized for a particular clinical application. The antennas disclosed herein incorporate one or more additional elements called shaping elements that use unique properties of microwaves such as interaction of a microwave field with one or more conductive or non-conductive elements to shape or redistribute the microwave field. Such shaping elements may be used to reduce the undesired backward coupling of the emitted microwave field to the transmission line. Such shaping elements may be used to increase the power efficiency of the antenna. The invention also discloses devices and methods for treating tissue with microwave energy emitted from the antennas for use in applications such as destroying a soft tissue by microwave ablation.

Abstract: A mobile application privacy analysis system is described, where the system scans a mobile device to identify files associated with a particular SDK and generates a tokenized name for the SDK. The tokenized name includes tokens representing the SDK vendor and one or more functions of the SDK. Using the tokenized name, the system then determines corresponding categories for each functionality token and score for each such category. Based on the scores, the system determines the most significant category and assigns that category to the SDK for use in privacy analysis. The system may also, or instead, determine a vendor category using the vendor token and assign that category to the SDK. Weighting factors may be applied to the scores for the categories associated with the functionality tokens and vendor tokens.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to wall repair compounds such as joint compounds, spackling compounds, and the like used to repair imperfections in walls or fill joints between adjacent wallboard panels. Particularly, the present invention relates to such a wall repair compound comprising a dust reduction additive that reduces the quantity of airborne dust generated when the hardened compound is sanded and also exhibits improved adhesive properties. The dust reduction additive also imparts adhesion to the wall repair compounds to which it is added, for example to a joint compound. The dust reduction additive is a powder prepared from colloidally-protected, wax-based microstructure dispersions.
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating and deploying packages to devices in a fleet based on operations derived from a machine learning model or other automated feedback models are provided. As an example, a method for creating a package, including a payload, for deployment to a set of devices is provided. The method includes receiving a payload, where the payload has an associated set of payload parameters concerning a deployment of the payload to the set of devices. The method further includes using a processor, automatically creating the package for the deployment to the set of devices, where the package comprises instructions for deploying the payload to the set of devices, and where the instructions specify at least one of a plurality of operations derived from a machine learning model based at least on a subset of the associated set of payload parameters.

A write request is received from a client at the metadata server (“MDS”), where the write request comprises a data object identifier and a preferred object store identifier. Abstract: A heat-driven refrigeration/heat-pump system includes at least one vapor expansion stage and at least one vapor compression stage, a condenser, and an evaporator, while the power consumption of the compression stages is fully supplied by the power output of the expansion stages. In the system, a vapor absorber/generator unit is adopted, such that at least one expansion stage is fed by the vapor from the generator, and at least one power stage; compression or expansion, delivers its output stream to the absorber instead of to the condenser. In the new arrangement the expansion stages produce surplus power, facilitating a supplementary refrigeration loop between the evaporator and the condenser to which there is no direct expense of heat from the generator, thereby improving the overall performance of the system.
