  • Patent number: 11223704
Abstract: In server/client architectures, the server application and client applications are often developed in different languages and execute in different environments specialized for the different contexts of each application (e.g., low-level, performant, platform-specialized, and stateless instructions on the server, and high-level, flexible, platform-agnostic, and stateful languages on the client) and are often executed on different devices. Convergence of these environments (e.g., server-side JavaScript using Node.js) enables the provision of a server that services client applications executing on the same device. The local server may monitor local events occurring on the device, and may execute one or more server scripts associated with particular local events on behalf of local clients subscribing to the local event (e.g., via a subscription model).

  • Patent number: 11220028
Abstract: A method for manufacturing thin, multi-bend optics includes placing an optical substrate and a protective sheet into a compression mold and closing the compression mold to deform the optical substrate and to deform the protective sheet. The optical substrate can include an optical surface and the protective sheet can be disposed between the compression mold and the optical surface of the optical substrate. The compression mold can include a mold contact surface that is characterized by a surface roughness. The compression mold can be held in a closed position for a compression time period, during which, the protective sheet contacts the mold contact surface and provides a buffer layer between the mold contact surface and the optical surface thereby mitigating against transfer of the surface roughness of the mold contact surface onto the optical surface.

  • Patent number: 11223966
Abstract: A wireless testing system is provided that testing transmission speeds associated with a WLAN or other wireless network. In one instance, a network transmission between a device in a telecommunications network and a modem be measured and initiated via an application executed on a mobile device. One or more Wi-Fi speed tests may also be performed to determine a transmission speed between a wireless device associated with the premises and the modem of the WLAN. To conduct the Wi-Fi speed test, a mobile device (such as the mobile device executing the application) may transmit, in some instances in response to an input to the mobile device, an instruction to the test controller to conduct the Wi-Fi speed test. The measured transmission speeds may be controlled by a controller that may store the speed test results in a network repository available to the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 11220837
Abstract: A lock device that prevents operation of at least one chassis spindle from retracting a latch bolt, and which may provide auto-unlock features. Locking of the lock device can effectuate linear displacement of a slider body from an unlocked position to a locked position. Linear displacement of the slider body is translated into rotational displacement of a cam body that includes, or is coupled to, a locking shaft having a cam protrusion, thereby rotating the cam protrusion. As the cam protrusion rotates, the cam protrusion lifts a locking lug to a locked position wherein the locking lug prevents rotational displacement of a first chassis spindle. When in the locked position, a slider arm of the slider body can be positioned in a retention slot. Subsequent rotable displacement of a second chassis spindle can effectuate displacement of the slider arm from the retention slot and facilitate unlocking of the lock device.

  • Patent number: 11221885
Abstract: A method for allocating resources for a machine learning model is disclosed. A machine learning model to be executed on a special purpose machine learning model processor is received. A computational data graph is generated from the machine learning model. The computational dataflow graph represents the machine learning model which includes nodes, connector directed edges, and parameter directed edges. The operations of the computational dataflow graph is scheduled and then compiled using a deterministic instruction set architecture that specifies functionality of a special purpose machine learning model processor. An amount of resources required to execute the computational dataflow graph is determined. Resources are allocated based on the determined amounts of resources required to execute the machine learning model represented by the computational dataflow graph.
