Abstract: Presented herein are novel approaches to synthesize video of the speech from text. In a training phase, embodiments build a phoneme-pose dictionary and train a generative neural network model using a generative adversarial network (GAN) to generate video from interpolated phoneme poses. In deployment, the trained generative neural network in conjunction with the phoneme-pose dictionary convert an input text into a video of a person speaking the words of the input text. Compared to audio-driven video generation approaches, the embodiments herein have a number of advantages: 1) they only need a fraction of the training data used by an audio-driven approach; 2) they are more flexible and not subject to vulnerability due to speaker variation; and 3) they significantly reduce the preprocessing, training, and inference times.

Abstract: This invention describes a new method to increase grain yields in any crop plant by modifying pollination to effect an increase in grain yield, a change in grain content or characteristics, a decrease in contamination, or a combination of these attributes. The process involves the intentional delivery of pollen of the male plant at will to designated male-sterile female plants as available either in a preserved pollen bank, or real-time collection from male plants as they become available, in a growth chamber for example. Desired pollen is delivered to fertile females. The delivered pollenM is in such amounts and fortuitously timed that it preferentially pollinates the females and pollination from neighboring male-fertile plants. The intentional delivery of genetically different pollen will result in increased heterosis and accompanying grain yield increases resulting from increased grain size and the potential to influence grain content and constituents.

The request includes a proxy eSIM identifier (EID) prefix. The eSIM profile is associated with a service provider of a mobile communication service a user of the device subscribes to. The method also includes determining whether the proxy EID prefix includes an address of a target discovery server the device is configured to connect to, and when the proxy EID prefix includes the address the method includes extracting the address of the target discovery server from the proxy EID prefix. Using the extracted address of the target discovery server, the method also includes registering a discovery event with the target discovery server indicating that the service provider has reserved the eSIM profile to the proxy EID or an actual EID assigned to the device.

  • Publication number: 20210387857
Abstract: A radical anion based functionalization of two-dimensional (2D) layered materials is proposed. The covalent functionalization of the basal plane of 2D materials with charge neutral radicals is typically unstable to reduction, leading to detachment of the functional groups from the basal plane upon reduction. This instability hinders the use of functionalized 2D materials as rechargeable electroactive species, unless the functional groups are bound to the edges of the 2D material. However, to achieve high capacity without the creation of many edges and defects, a stable functionalization of the basal plane in the reduced state is required. This goal can be achieved by radical anion functionalization, whereby the reduced/discharged state of the basal-plane-functionalized 2D material is produced. The product of the radical anion functionalization can be used as the discharged state of a cathode active material, solid electrolyte or part of a polymer composite.
