Abstract: Interference-based augmented reality hosting platforms are presented. Hosting platforms can include networking nodes capable of analyzing a digital representation of scene to derive interference among elements of the scene. The hosting platform utilizes the interference to adjust the presence of augmented reality objects within an augmented reality experience. Elements of a scene can constructively interfere, enhancing presence of augmented reality objects; or destructively interfere, suppressing presence of augmented reality objects.

Abstract: The invention relates to executing an action for a cryptographic storage application by comparing a movement dataset, which may contain positional and inertial datasets, with a user profile dataset. The system may receive a first cryptographic storage application address, retrieve a first movement dataset corresponding to a first time period, retrieve a user profile dataset, compare the first movement dataset with the user profile dataset, and execute an action for the first cryptographic storage application.

Abstract: A seating system for a vehicle includes a first sidewall and a second sidewall. A second sidewall opposes the first sidewall. The first sidewall and the second sidewall at least partially define a cargo space. A first seating assembly is coupled to the first sidewall. A second seating assembly is coupled to the first sidewall. A bench seat is configured to be selectively adjustable between an adjacent support position and a cross support position. The bench seat is coupled to the first seating assembly and the second seating assembly when in the adjacent support position. The bench seat is coupled to the first sidewall and the second sidewall in the cross support position.

Abstract: Address range memory mirroring in a computer system, and related methods and computer-readable media. The computer system includes one or more memory mirror agents that are each configured to be programmed to mirror write data of a write request to a memory address mapped to the memory mirror agent. The memory mirror agent is configured to mirror write data to a redundant memory space in memory if the write memory address is within a programmed memory space to be mirrored by the memory mirror agent. The memory mirror agent can be programmed to perform memory mirroring based on specific address ranges to provide flexibility in controlling and changing the exact memory space of the memory system to be mirrored. If an error is detected in read data in response to a memory read request, the memory mirror agent can retrieve the stored redundant data to maintain data integrity.

Abstract: According to implementations of the subject matter described herein, there is provided a solution of providing a health index of a service. In this solution, a plurality of incident information sets associated with a plurality of services are obtained. The plurality of services are provisioned in a computing environment. An incident information set indicates at least one incident reported during operation of a service. Respective health indices are determined for the plurality of services based on respective ones of the plurality of incident information sets and a health classification policy. The respective health indices indicate respective health statuses of the plurality of services and being determined from a same health index range. Through unified use of incident information, the determined health indices can indicate universal and consistent health statuses for different services.

Abstract: A two-speed gearbox assembly includes a housing, a first planetary gear set configured to operably connect to an output of an electric motor, a second planetary gear set rotationally coupled to an output of the first planetary gear set, and a third gear set rotationally coupled to an output of the second planetary gearset. A first clutch is configured to selectively couple the first planetary gear set to the second planetary gear set, and a second clutch is configured to selectively ground a portion of the second planetary gear set to the housing. The gearbox assembly is selectively switchable between (i) an on-road first gear where the first clutch is engaged and the second clutch is disengaged, and (ii) an off-road second gear where the first clutch is disengaged and the second clutch is engaged to provide sustained high torque and low speed.

Abstract: A touch sensor system includes touch sensors, drive-sense circuits (DSCs), memory, and a processing module. A DSC drives a first signal via a single line coupling to a touch sensor and simultaneously senses, when present, a second signal that is uniquely associated with a user. The DSC processes the first signal and/or the second signal to generate a digital signal that is representative of an electrical characteristic of the touch sensor. The processing module executes operational instructions (stored in the memory) to process the digital signal to detect interaction of the user with the touch sensor and to determine whether the interaction of the user with the touch sensor compares favorably with authorization. When not authorized, the processing module aborts execution of operation(s) associated with the interaction of the user with the touch sensor. Alternatively, when authorized, the processing module facilitates execution of the operation(s).

The system may schedule, based on the status, a transmission of a message at an expiration of a time period, wherein the message is generated to indicate the status. The system may monitor, during the time period, the status to detect an event associated with the service. The system may detect, based on an occurrence of the event, an update to the status. The system may perform, prior to the expiration of the time period, an action associated with the message to account for the update to the status.

Abstract: An orthopedic walking boot includes a housing configured to encompass at least a user's foot, a mechanically adjustable ramp insert including a ramp surface and disposed in the housing, an adjusting mechanism configured to adjust an elevation angle of the ramp surface, and a mechanically adjustable lift configured to cause the mechanically adjustable ramp insert to descend within the housing as the ramp surface is elevated such that vertical displacement of the user's foot caused by elevation of the ramp surface is substantially attenuated. Related methods are also provided.

Abstract: A method for using treated biochar to reduce the overall environmental impact of farming and minimize the carbon footprint of farms is provided. The method comprising engaging in one or more of the following practices: (1) combining treated biochar with feed or using biochar as feed for animals to reduce methane from enteric fermentation and increase animal health and nutrition; (2) combining treated biochar with compost, animal bedding or manure piles to reduce odor and increase nutrient retention; (3) applying treated biochar to lagoons to reduce odor and treat water; (4) applying treated biochar to pastures to increase pasture health; (5) applying treated biochar to crops to increase crop productivity, healthier roots and prevent fertilizer leaching; and (6) using the carbon negativity of a produced biochar to reduce the overall farm or ranch carbon footprint.

The controller is programmed to perform a plurality of measurements using the plurality of vehicle sensors determine a health risk probability based at least in part on the plurality of measurements. The health risk probability is a probability that the occupant of the vehicle has the health condition. The controller is further programmed to notify the occupant of the vehicle in response to determining that the health risk probability is greater than or equal to a predetermined health risk threshold.

Abstract: An infrared detector and a method for manufacturing it are disclosed. The infrared detector contains an absorber layer responsive to infrared light, a barrier layer disposed on the absorber layer, a plurality of contact structures disposed on the barrier layer; and an oxide layer disposed above the barrier layer and between the plurality of the contact structures, wherein the oxide layer reduces the dark current in the infrared detector. The method disclosed teaches how to manufacture the infrared detector.

Abstract: A RAM chip includes host dies and parity dies. A memory controller receives system data to be stored on the RAM chip that is in excess of the storage capacity of the host dies. The memory controller encodes the system data in the parity symbols of the parity dies. Abstract: A specialized audio/instrument cable with built-in digital signal processing capabilities that adds digital audio sampling capabilities that allows the user to trigger synthesized sounds or virtual musical instruments from within the cable itself to affect the sound generated from an instrument or microphone such that the cable is the only connection needed between the instrument or microphone and an output device. Using voice recognition, the specialized cable can select an audio effects chain algorithm and/or sampled sound algorithm extrapolated from a musical digital audio fingerprint (MDAF) created from a desired musician's instrument to alter the sound of the input instrument's audio.
