Abstract: A thermal switch having an on-state and an off-state is provided. First and second plates are composed from a thermally conductive material. The first and second plates are connected to form an internal cavity having a channel defining a gap between the first and second plate. The first reservoir is coupled to the channel and contains a thermally conductive liquid. The actuator is coupled to the first reservoir and the channel and is moveable between a first state and a second state corresponding to the on-state and the off-state of the thermal switch, respectively. Thermally conductive liquid is allowed to flow from the first reservoir to the channel when the actuator is in the first state and allowed to flow from the channel to the first reservoir when the actuator is in the second state.

Abstract: A firearm includes a lower receiver storing an electrical power source and an upper receiver attached to the lower receiver. A pivot pin device provides a mechanical pivot point between the upper and lower receivers and a transfer of electrical power from the electrical power source in the lower receiver to at least one accessory rail attached to the upper receiver. The at least one accessory rail has electrical contacts that engage corresponding contacts on an electronic accessory device to supply the electrical power to the electronic accessory device.

Abstract: Position based media pipeline systems and methods for volumetric displays provide content to a volumetric display having at least two pixels arranged in a 3D coordinate space. A three-dimensional (3D) pixel position dataset and a 3D animation are provided and a first volume representation based on the 3D animation is created. A second volume is created based on the first volume and including color data. A texture atlas is assembled based on the second volume and volumetric image data is generated based on the texture atlas. The position based media pipeline outputs the volumetric image data to one or more graphic controllers. The volumetric image data can be output whereby a user can preview the volumetric image data in addition to output to the volumetric display.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for receiving audio data corresponding to a user utterance and context data, identifying an initial set of one or more n-grams from the context data, generating an expanded set of one or more n-grams based on the initial set of n-grams, adjusting a language model based at least on the expanded set of n-grams, determining one or more speech recognition candidates for at least a portion of the user utterance using the adjusted language model, adjusting a score for a particular speech recognition candidate determined to be included in the expanded set of n-grams, determining a transcription of user utterance that includes at least one of the one or more speech recognition candidates, and providing the transcription of the user utterance for output.

Abstract: Provided is a group-based communication interface configured to allow users of the interface to communicate within group-based communication channels and across group-based communication channels to provide relevant information to other users efficiently and effectively. Group-based messaging communications across the plurality of group-based communication channels can be channeled to specific receiver channels providing relevant information to users of the group-based communication interface thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of group-based messaging communications and the lifetime of the system.

Abstract: A system and method for operating a fleet of pumps for a turbine driven fracturing pump system used in hydraulic fracturing is disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of operating a fleet of pumps associated with a hydraulic fracturing system includes receiving a demand Hydraulic Horse Power (HHP) signal. The demand HHP signal may include the Horse Power (HP) required for the hydraulic fracturing system to operate and may include consideration for frictional and other losses. The method further includes operating all available pump units at a percentage of rating below Maximum Continuous Power (MCP) level, based at least in part on the demand HHP signal. Furthermore, the method may include receiving a signal for loss of power from one or more pump units. The method further includes operating one or more units at MCP level and operating one or more units at Maximum Intermittent Power (MIP) level to meet the demand HHP signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods are shown for providing private local sponsored content selection and improving intelligence models through distribution among mobile devices. This allows greater data gathering capabilities through the use of the sensors of the mobile devices as well as data stored on data storage components of the mobile devices to create predicted models while offering better opportunities to preserve privacy. Locally stored profiles comprising machine intelligence models may also be used to determine the relevance of the data gathered and in improving an aggregated model for identifying the relevance of data and the selection of sponsored content items. Distributed optimization is used in conjunction with privacy techniques to create the improved machine intelligence models. Publishers may also benefit from the improved privacy by protecting the statistics of type or volume of sponsored content items shown with publisher content.

Vehicle operators may be classified into a carpooling group based on vehicle routes associated with each of the vehicle operators. Vehicle sensor data associated with each vehicle operator of the carpooling group may be analyzed. Based on the analysis of the vehicle sensor data, one or more indicia of safe driving behaviors associated with each vehicle operator of the carpooling group may be identified. The safe driving behaviors associated with each vehicle operator of the carpooling group may be compared. Based on the comparison, a vehicle operator of the carpooling group may be selected as a driver for a carpool. For example, the safest vehicle operator of the carpooling group may be selected as the driver for the carpool. The carpool may include one or more of the other vehicle operators of the carpooling group as passengers.

In the event the authorization fails and an error code corresponds to a payment information error, the system automatically generates a notification message to the customer at the messaging server, submits the updated customer payment information to the bank system, and updates an account status of the customer account when a payment authorization is received from the bank system.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing apparatus and a data processing method which enable provision of an LDPC code that achieves good error-rate performance. An LDPC encoding unit performs encoding using an LDPC code having a code length of 64800 bits and a code rate of 18/30, 19/30, 20/30, 21/30, 22/30, or 23/30. The LDPC code includes information bits and parity bits, and a parity check matrix H is composed of an information matrix portion corresponding to the information bits of the LDPC code, and a parity matrix portion corresponding to the parity bits. The information matrix portion of the parity check matrix H is represented by a parity check matrix initial value table that shows positions of elements of 1 in the information matrix portion in units of 360 columns. The present technology may be applied to LDPC encoding and LDPC decoding.

Abstract: A gate valve for controlling flow of a fluid therethrough is provided. The gate valve includes a valve body having an outer surface, a bore, a valve cavity, a first seat pocket, a second seat pocket, and first and second fluid ports extending from the outer surface to the first and second seat pockets, respectively. First and second seats are positioned respectively within the first and second seat pockets. The seats include circumferential fluid channels and one or more conduits in fluid communication with the fluid ports for permitting a repair fluid to be injected into the ports to the faces of the seats. A gate is slidably positioned within the valve cavity between the first seat and the second seat for controlling flow of a fluid through the valve. Sand shields are also provided at the rear of the seats to capture particulates and to bias the seats against the gate.

Abstract: A system and a method for monitoring route devices in a transportation network includes one or more processors to receive sensed traffic control device information from first vehicle systems in a transportation network formed from interconnected routes. The sensed traffic control device information indicates states of traffic control devised at intersections between the routes in the transportation network. The one or more processors determine whether the sensed traffic control device information conflicts with stored traffic control device information stored in a database accessible by the one or more processors. The one or more processors send one or more bulletins to one or more second vehicle systems to change movement of the one or more second vehicle systems responsive to determining that the sensed traffic control device information conflicts with the stored traffic control device information.
