Abstract: Various implementations relate to techniques, for controlling smart devices, that are low latency and/or that provide computational efficiencies (client and/or server) and/or network efficiencies. Those implementations relate to generating and/or utilizing cache entries, of a cache that is stored locally at an assistant client device, in control of various smart devices (e.g., smart lights, smart thermostats, smart plugs, smart appliances, smart routers, etc.). Each of the cache entries includes a mapping of text to one or more corresponding semantic representations.

Abstract: Described is a system for unsupervised domain adaptation in an autonomous learning agent. The system adapts a learned model with a set of unlabeled data from a target domain, resulting in an adapted model. The learned model was previously trained to perform a task using a set of labeled data from a source domain. The set of labeled data has a first input data distribution, and the set of unlabeled target data has a second input data distribution that is distinct from the first input data distribution. The adapted model is implemented in the autonomous learning agent, causing the autonomous learning agent to perform the task in the target domain.

Abstract: A system for detecting water trees in branching underground electrical cables includes a pulse generator configured to inject a pulse into a first underground cable that branches into a second underground cable and a third underground cable. The system includes a first sensor associated with the first cable, a second sensor associated with the second cable, and a third sensor associated with the third cable. The system includes a control device configured to obtain a first, second, and third signal associated with the first, second and third sensors, respectively. The control device determines a lead-lag relationship between the second and third signals and determines presence of a water tree within at least one of the second and third cable based on the lead-lag relationship. When presence of a water tree is determined, the control device generates a control action associated with repairing or replacing the second and/or third cable.
Abstract: A method for providing imagery to a user on a display includes receiving eye tracking data. The method also includes determining a gaze location on the display and at least one of a confidence factor of the gaze location, or a speed of the change of the gaze location using the eye tracking data. The method also includes establishing multiple tiles using the gaze location and at least one of the confidence factor or the speed of the change of the gaze location. The method also includes providing a foveated rendered image using the multiple tiles.
