Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include systems and methods managing messages on a user device. A first plurality of message tiles in a first vertical list may be displayed on a visual display of the user device. The first plurality of message tiles in the first vertical list may be associated with a first time period. A motion-based gesture may be detected. The motion-based gesture may include at least one of a tap on a surface of the visual display, a swipe across a surface of the visual display, or an acceleration of the user device. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a first motion-based gesture, a second plurality of message tiles in a second vertical list associated with a second time period may be displayed. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a second motion-based gesture, one or more message management functions may be performed.

Abstract: A host device comprises a processor coupled to a memory. The host device is configured to obtain from a storage system connectivity information characterizing one or more ports of the storage system, and to automatically establish connectivity of a particular type between the host device and one or more logical storage devices of the storage system based at least in part on the obtained connectivity information. For example, the host device can obtain the connectivity information directly from the storage system or via at least one intermediary device such as a management station. In some embodiments, the obtaining and automatically establishing are performed by at least one multi-path input-output driver of a multi-path layer of the host device. The connectivity of a particular type illustratively comprises Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) connectivity between the host device and the storage system, although other connectivity types can be supported.

Abstract: A lighting arrangement includes a plurality of light sources in spaced arrangement. Collimator elements are arranged in front of the light sources. A holder with a plurality of spaced openings is provided to hold the collimator elements within the openings in such a way that the openings are arranged to contact the collimator elements from at least two opposed sides, In order to allow exact positioning and easy manufacturing, the holder comprises at least a first portion and a second portion such that at least some of the openings are formed between the first and the second portions.

Abstract: A multi-spectral lens comprises a circular polarizer and a tunable cholesteric filter having an associated reflection band. Incoming light is circularly polarized to one handedness by the circular polarizer, and the tunable cholesteric filter transmits the circularly polarized light and reflects the opposite handedness of the circularly polarized light if within the reflection band of the filter, with the reflection band of the tunable cholesteric filter varying with a control voltage. In a preferred embodiment, a mirror is arranged to receive light transmitted by the tunable cholesteric filter and reflect it back towards the filter with flipped handedness, with the reflected light with flipped handedness that is within the reflection band of the tunable cholesteric filter reflected by the tunable cholesteric filter back toward the mirror. The architecture described effectively converts the reflection band of a tunable cholesteric filter into a tunable bandpass filter for a multi-spectral imaging lens.

The lumen assembly may comprise a central lumen, a distal balloon lumen operably coupled to the distal balloon, a proximal balloon lumen operably coupled to the proximal balloon, an aspiration port lumen operably coupled to the aspiration port, and an injection port lumen operably coupled to the injection port. The distal balloon and the proximal balloon may define a treatment chamber therebetween, and the aspiration port and the injection port may be positioned within the treatment chamber on the lumen assembly.

Abstract: Process and systems are provided for anaerobic digestion of lignocellulosic feedstock into biogas and co-products, such as fibrous humid cake and a fine-particles slurry. The feedstock (e.g., grass straw) is typically first ground or milled. The feedstock is subjected to pelletizing or extruding to generate pellets (e.g., cubes) or extrudates. The pellets or extrudates may be fed to a hydrolysis unit or a digester, in dry form or wet form. Various chemicals may be added to improve the mechanical disintegration of the lignocellulosic structure of the feedstock, before, during, or after formation of pellets or extrudates. The biogas may be stored, sold, used, or further treated, such as via purification to produce pipeline-quality cellulosic methane. The fibrous humid cake and the fine-solids slurry have many potential uses. Other potential co-products include lignin, biochar, energy (as heat and/or electricity), fertilizers, soil or land conditioners, ammonium sulfate, ammonium hydroxide, and carbon dioxide.

In some embodiments, a system for securing data may comprise one or more processors configured to receive a request for data over a network. The one or more processors may be configured to identify one or more confidential portions of data within the requested data. The one or more processors may be further configured to transmit the confidential portions of data to a hardware device configured to secure the confidential portions of data, and receive the secured data from the hardware device.

Abstract: Use of a NAND array architecture to realize a binary neural network (BNN) allows for matrix multiplication and accumulation to be performed within the memory array. A unit synapse for storing a weight of a BNN is stored in a pair of series connected memory cells. A binary input is applied as a pattern of voltage values on a pair of word lines connected to the unit synapse to perform the multiplication of the input with the weight by determining whether or not the unit synapse conducts. The results of such multiplications are determined by a sense amplifier, with the results accumulated by a counter. The arrangement can be extended to ternary inputs to realize a ternary-binary network (TBN) by adding a circuit to detect 0 input values and adjust the accumulated count accordingly.

Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for resource allocation signaling for grouping user real time services. Uplink signaling for voice activity reporting of each user's transition between an active state and an inactive voice state is sent from a wireless transmit/receive unit to a Node B. Radio resource allocation to users of a wireless communication system varies based on user measurement reporting, a pre-determined pattern such as frequency hopping, or a pseudorandom function. Grouping methods are adjusted to better utilize the voice activity factor, so that statistical multiplexing can be used to more efficiently utilize physical resources.

Abstract: A packaging machine includes a series of stations or assemblies for packaging a series of products. A carton feeding system and a product conveyor that receives a series of articles or products are provided at a first, upstream or intake end of the packaging machine. The carton feeding system feeds carton blanks into registration with products, which generally can be grouped to form 4, 6, 8 packs, etc. Thereafter, the product groups, with the carton blanks applied thereto, will be moved through one or more downstream folding and wrapping or packaging assemblies or stations of the packaging machine.

Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more vehicle-exterior displays and a processor. The vehicle receives indication of a second proximate vehicle, the indication including viewing preferences for an occupant of the second proximate vehicle. The vehicle selects content for display on at least one of the vehicle-exterior displays and selects at least one display having an exterior orientation determined to be viewable based on a heading of the second proximate vehicle. The vehicle then displays the selected content on the selected display.

Abstract: Improved systems and devices for medical imaging distribution are provided. A medical imaging order may be received from a medical facility that includes medical imaging. A configuration may be selected and applied based on a body site and an urgency field associated with the order that defines queueing rules for the medical imaging order. Utilization factors for queues associated with radiologists may also be determined. The configuration and the utilization factors may be used to determine a subset of queues associated with a subset of radiologists. The subset of queues may be prioritized based on certain requirements, such as how many medical imaging reports a particular radiologist is required to review, how many medical imaging reports are required to be allocated to a particular radiologist, and the like. The highest prioritized queue may be selected and the medical imaging order may be transmitted to the radiologist associated with that queue.

Abstract: Techniques for adjusting user experiences for participants of a multiuser session by deploying vocal-characteristic models to analyze audio streams received in association with the participants are disclosed herein. The vocal-characteristic models are used to identify emotional state indicators corresponding to certain vocal properties being exhibited by individual participants. Based on the identified emotional state indicators, probability scores are generated indicating a likelihood that individual participants are experiencing a predefined emotional state. For example, a specific participant's voice may be continuously received and analyzed using a vocal-characteristic model designed to detect whether vocal properties are consistent with a predefined emotional state. Probability scores may be generated based on how strongly the detected vocal properties correlate with the vocal-characteristic model.
