Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for resource allocation signaling for grouping user real time services. Uplink signaling for voice activity reporting of each user's transition between an active state and an inactive voice state is sent from a wireless transmit/receive unit to a Node B. Radio resource allocation to users of a wireless communication system varies based on user measurement reporting, a pre-determined pattern such as frequency hopping, or a pseudorandom function. Grouping methods are adjusted to better utilize the voice activity factor, so that statistical multiplexing can be used to more efficiently utilize physical resources.

Abstract: A packaging machine includes a series of stations or assemblies for packaging a series of products. A carton feeding system and a product conveyor that receives a series of articles or products are provided at a first, upstream or intake end of the packaging machine. The carton feeding system feeds carton blanks into registration with products, which generally can be grouped to form 4, 6, 8 packs, etc. Thereafter, the product groups, with the carton blanks applied thereto, will be moved through one or more downstream folding and wrapping or packaging assemblies or stations of the packaging machine.

Abstract: An apparatus, according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, a vehicle structural component that has a plurality of open cells surrounding an open center section. The open center section comprises a multi-corner open center. A method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, extruding a vehicle structural component from a metallic material, wherein the vehicle structural component includes a plurality of open cells surrounding an open center section, and wherein the plurality of open cells each comprise a polygonal cross-section and the open center section comprises a multi-corner open center.

Abstract: A distributed cache is managed. In some embodiments, only a subset of a plurality of processing nodes may be designated as cache managers that manage the cache access history of a logical area, including having an exclusive right to control the eviction of data from cache objects of the logical area. In such embodiments, all of the processing nodes may collect cache access information, and communicate the cache access information to the cache managers. Some of the processing nodes that are not cache managers may collect cache access information from a plurality of the other non-cache managers. Each such processing node may combine this communicated cache access information with the cache access information of the processing node itself, sort the combined information per cache manager, and send the resulting sorted cache access information to the respective cache managers. The processing nodes may be arranged in a cache management hierarchy.

Abstract: A vehicle includes one or more vehicle-exterior displays and a processor. The vehicle receives indication of a second proximate vehicle, the indication including viewing preferences for an occupant of the second proximate vehicle. The vehicle selects content for display on at least one of the vehicle-exterior displays and selects at least one display having an exterior orientation determined to be viewable based on a heading of the second proximate vehicle. The vehicle then displays the selected content on the selected display.

Abstract: Improved systems and devices for medical imaging distribution are provided. A medical imaging order may be received from a medical facility that includes medical imaging. A configuration may be selected and applied based on a body site and an urgency field associated with the order that defines queueing rules for the medical imaging order. Utilization factors for queues associated with radiologists may also be determined. The configuration and the utilization factors may be used to determine a subset of queues associated with a subset of radiologists. The subset of queues may be prioritized based on certain requirements, such as how many medical imaging reports a particular radiologist is required to review, how many medical imaging reports are required to be allocated to a particular radiologist, and the like. The highest prioritized queue may be selected and the medical imaging order may be transmitted to the radiologist associated with that queue.

Abstract: A mortise lock assembly is disclosed that enables a position of a door associated with the mortise lock assembly to be determined despite whether a deadbolt is in a retracted state or an engaged state. An auxiliary latch assembly transitions between an engaged state and a retracted state. A main latch assembly may also transition between an engaged state and a retracted state. A magnetic field sensing device that is positioned on the auxiliary latch assembly detects a magnetic field generated by a magnetic field generating device positioned on a door strike. The magnetic field sensing device is positioned on the auxiliary latch assembly such that the magnetic field sensing device is aligned with the magnetic field generating device positioned on the door strike when the door is in a closed position. The magnetic field sensing device may also be positioned on the main latch assembly in a similar manner.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for emissions control of a vehicle. In one example, a catalyst may include a cerium-based support material and a transition metal catalyst loaded on the support material, the transition metal catalyst including nickel and copper, wherein nickel in the transition metal catalyst is included in a monatomic layer loaded on the support material. In some examples, limiting nickel to the monatomic layer may mitigate extensive transition metal catalyst degradation ascribed to sintering of thicker nickel washcoat layers. Further, by utilizing the cerium-based support material, side reactions involving nickel in the transition metal catalyst with other support materials may be prevented.

The method further includes automatically transmitting audio/video data captured via the called telephony communication device to the calling telephony communication device when the received request is determined to be one for monitoring the location.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and an apparatus for video encoding/decoding. The apparatus includes processing circuitry that decodes coded information of a coding unit (CU) from a coded video bitstream. The coded information indicates a last position of non-zero transform coefficients of a first coding block (CB) of the CU. The processing circuitry determines whether a secondary transform index is signaled in the coded information based on the last position and whether to perform a secondary transform on a second CB based on whether the secondary transform index is determined to be signaled in the coded information. When the secondary transform is determined to be performed, the processing circuitry performs the secondary transform on the second CB and reconstructs the second CB. Responsive to the secondary transform being determined not to be performed, the processing circuitry reconstructs the second CB without performing the secondary transform on the second CB.

For example, an antibody that specifically binds to Staphylococcus aureus alpha toxin can be administered to a patient with a polybacterial infection comprising Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Abstract: A planar flexible ultra-wide band (UWB) RF antenna includes a flexible non-electrically-conductive substrate and at least one antenna patch having electrically conductive metal positioned on one side of the flexible non-electrically-conductive substrate and having geometry defining a wirelessly transmitted UWB signal. The antenna may electrically couple with an RF transmitter circuit formed on a second side of the flexible substrate and controlled by a microcontroller circuit, formed on the second side, to transmit a radio signal. The RF tag may include at least one decoupling circuit directly electrically connected to the RF antenna and having a decoupling frequency that is different from a transmitting frequency of the antenna. The decoupling circuit transfers power from the antenna when the antenna receives capacitive power from an external non-electrical contact charger operating at the decoupling frequency and having at least one plate of similar geometry to the at least one antenna patch.

The first plurality of message tiles in the first vertical list may be associated with a first time period. A motion-based gesture may be detected. The motion-based gesture may include at least one of a tap on a surface of the visual display, a swipe across a surface of the visual display, or an acceleration of the user device. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a first motion-based gesture, a second plurality of message tiles in a second vertical list associated with a second time period may be displayed. In an embodiment, in response to detecting a second motion-based gesture, one or more message management functions may be performed.

Abstract: Implementations are described herein for generating embeddings of source code using both the language and graph domains, and leveraging combinations of these semantically-rich and structurally-informative embeddings for various purposes. In various implementations, tokens of a source code snippet may be applied as input across a sequence-processing machine learning model to generate a plurality of token embeddings. A graph may also be generated based on the source code snippet. A joint representation may be generated based on the graph and the incorporated token embeddings. The joint representation generated from the source code snippet may be compared to one or more other joint representations generated from one or more other source code snippets to make a determination about the source code snippet.
