Abstract: A computer process including receiving first patient bone data of a patient leg and foot in a first pose, the first pose comprising a position and orientation of the patient leg relative to the patient foot as defined in the first patient bone data. The computer process may further include receiving second patient bone data of the patient leg and foot in a second pose, the second pose comprising a position and orientation of the patient leg relative to the patient foot as defined in the second patient bone data. The computer process may further include generating a 3D bone model of the patient leg and foot. Finally, the computer process may include modifying the 3D bone model of the patient leg and foot such that the plurality of 3D bone models are reoriented into a third pose that matches the second pose.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to techniques for laser ablating/scribing peripheral edges of a coating (e.g., a low-emissivity, mirror, or other coating) on a glass or other substrate in a pre- or post-laminated assembly, pre- or post-assembled insulated glass unit, and/or other product, in order to slow or prevent corrosion of the coating. For example, a 1064 nm or other wavelength laser may be used to scribe lines into the metal and/or metallic layer(s) in a low-emissivity or other coating provided in an already-laminated or already-assembled insulated glass unit or other product, e.g., around its periphery. The scribe lines decrease electron mobility from the center of the coating to the environment and, thus, slow and sometimes even prevent the onset of electrochemical corrosion. Associated products, methods, and kits relating to same also are contemplated herein.

Abstract: Implementations are described herein for analyzing a sequence of digital images captured by a mobile vision sensor (e.g., integral with a robot), in conjunction with information (e.g., ground truth) known about movement of the vision sensor, to determine spatial dimensions of object(s) and/or an area captured in a field of view of the mobile vision sensor. Techniques avoid the use of visual indicia of known dimensions and/or other conventional tools for determining spatial dimensions, such as checkerboards. Instead, techniques described herein allow spatial dimensions to be determined using less resources, and are more scalable than conventional techniques.

Abstract: A semiconductor transistor device includes a GaN transistor including a drain, a gate, and a source, the GaN transistor having a driving voltage applied across the gate and the source and configured to switch between an on-voltage associated with an on-state of the GaN transistor and an off-voltage associated with an off-state of the GaN transistor. The semiconductor transistor device further includes a variable gate-source resistor connected between the gate and the source and having a variable resistance that varies in response to changes in the driving voltage when switching between the on-state and the off-state of the GaN transistor.

Abstract: A barrier assembly for an energy storage system includes a panel and an energy storage pack. The panel includes an outer surface and an inner surface opposing the outer surface. The energy storage pack is spaced from the panel relative to the inner surface of the panel. The barrier assembly further includes an intermediate structure disposed between the inner surface of the panel and the energy storage pack. The intermediate structure is configured to absorb energy when a load is applied to the outer surface of the panel and configured to redistribute the load along a plurality of load paths through the intermediate structure as the load is applied to the panel. A vehicle includes the barrier assembly discussed above. The vehicle includes a support structure and the barrier assembly is coupled to the support structure. The inner surface of the panel faces toward the support structure.

The host system may exchange I/O communications with physical storage devices and/or global memory over an I/O path that does not include any directors, for example, over the internal fabric to which the host system is directly attached. In embodiments in which at least a portion of the global memory is considered part of a director, the host system may be configured to communicate with such global memory over the internal fabric and without use of director compute resources.

Abstract: An apparatus and method according to an exemplary aspect of the present disclosure includes, among other things, providing a vehicle with a hard top option where a hard top can be attached to the vehicle, a soft top option where a soft top can be attached to the vehicle, and a dual top option where either the hard top or the soft top can be attached to the vehicle. A hard top applique is provided for the hard top and a soft top applique is provide for the soft top, and a common set of fasteners is used to attach the hard top applique and the soft top applique to a pillar as needed to attach the hard top or soft top to the vehicle.

In an aspect of the present disclosure, an apparatus includes one or more members that define an interior section and an exterior section. The interior section configured to be coupled to the structure via a first surface of a structure, and the exterior section configured to be coupled to the structure via a second surface of the structure. The apparatus further includes a brace coupled to the one or more members and that extends through a member of the one or more members. Abstract: A USB-to-coaxial network bridging system and method includes receiving data frames from a USB or FireWire device via a corresponding USB or FireWire communication interface, wherein the received data frames are intended for transmittal to a predetermined remote device on a coaxial network; combining the received data frames into an aggregated frame and addressing the aggregated frame to allow the aggregated frame to be routed to the predetermined remote device on the coaxial network; and sending the aggregated frame to the remote device over the coaxial network.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to SA alkylation reactor systems. The reactor system involves a closed reactor vessel comprising a shell, a vapor outlet, and an emulsion outlet. The reactor system also involves a distributor located at the lower portion of the reactor vessel, a mixer fluidly connected with the distributor, and an emulsion pump fluidly connected with the mixer and the emulsion outlet, wherein the emulsion pump is located outside the reactor vessel. This disclosure also relates to a split SA alkylation reactor system wherein a single horizontal reactor vessel is divided to accommodate two reactor systems. This disclosure also relates to alkylation processes using the reactor systems. This disclosure also relates to methods of converting an HF alkylation unit to a SA alkylation unit. This disclosure also relates to converted SA alkylation units and alkylation processes performed in the converted SA alkylation units.

The method includes in response to receiving a write request for a first stripe of a redundant array of independent disks (RAID), searching for extents mapped to the first stripe. The RAID is created on a plurality of extents obtained by dividing a plurality of disks. The method further includes, in response to the extents mapped to the first stripe being missed, selecting a first set of extents in a free state from the plurality of extents of the plurality of disks. The method further includes mapping the first stripe to the first set of extents.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing operations based on LIDAR communications are described. An example device may include one or more processors and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. The memory includes instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to receive data associated with a modulated optical signal emitted by a transmitter of a first LIDAR device and received by a receiver of a second LIDAR device coupled to a vehicle and the device, generate a rendering of an environment of the vehicle based on information from one or more LIDAR devices coupled to the vehicle, and update the rendering based on the received data. Updating the rendering includes updating an object rendering of an object in the environment of the vehicle. The instructions further cause the device to provide the updated rendering for display on a display coupled to the vehicle.

The method comprises determining the battery's state of charge (SOC) and dischargeable capacity to determine the battery's state of energy (SOE), determining the battery's reference dischargeable energy (Eref) and total dischargeable energy (Etot), and comparing the state of energy to the total dischargeable energy to find the residual energy of the battery. The various functions of the method use battery current, cell temperature, and state of health (SOH) as variables for consideration.

Abstract: An air ride trailer floor and method to provide shock isolation for cargo of a trailer, A plurality of air bags are preferably provided and are attached atop or above a trailer frame and one or more air ride floors are attached to a top of the plurality of air bags such that cargo which rests on the one or more air ride floors receive not only shock isolation from a road surface due to the conventional suspension system of the trailer (if any), but also receive additional shock isolation through the air ride floor. The stiffness of the isolation of the air ride floor can be adjusted by adjusting pressure of gas within the plurality of air bags.

Abstract: A method of managing storage resources is provided. The method includes (a) storing data in an array of storage extents on respective storage drives of a plurality of storage drives, the array of storage extents having a first level of redundancy; and (b) in accordance with a storage management policy, adjusting the array of storage extents to have a second level of redundancy by changing the array of storage extents from having a first number of storage extents on respective storage drives to having a second number of storage extents on respective storage drives, the second level of redundancy providing a different tolerance for failure than the first level of redundancy. An apparatus, system, and computer program product for performing a similar method are also provided.
