  • Patent number: 11151661
Abstract: A plurality of potential feed objects and corresponding identifications of actors who performed a user interface action that caused a corresponding potential feed object to be generated are obtained. The plurality of potential feed objects and corresponding actor identifications are then fed into a machine learned feed object ranking model, with the machine learned feed object ranking model having been trained via a machine learning algorithm to calculate a score for each of the potential feed objects. The score is based on a combination of a likelihood that the user will perform an interaction, via the user interface, on the potential feed object, likelihood that the user's interaction will cause one or more downstream events by other users, and likelihood that a response from a viewer will cause the actor corresponding to the potential feed object to perform an additional user interface action to generate another potential feed object.

  • Patent number: 11153313
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for enabling protected premises networking capabilities. In one embodiment, a white list of devices authorized to access a premises network and a black list of device not authorized to access a premises network are utilized. The black and white lists may be stored at a database in communication with an authorization manager or may be stored at the manager itself. When a client device is connected to a premise, the manager determines, based on the premises and/or device identity, whether the device is entitled to access. The authorization manager makes this determination based on whether the device is on the white or black list. If the device is on neither list, the manager may add the device to the white list upon appropriate verification. The manager may also facilitate removal of a device from the white list to the black list upon request or automatically.

  • Patent number: 11152818
Abstract: A device operative to transfer power wirelessly includes a drive-sense circuit (DSC), memory that stores operational instructions, and processing module(s). The DSC generates a drive signal based on a reference signal and provides the drive signal to a first coil via a single line and via a resonating capacitor, and simultaneously senses the drive signal via the single line, to facilitate electromagnetic coupling to a second coil to transfer power wirelessly to another device. The DSC also detects electrical characteristic(s) of the drive signal. The processing module(s) generates the reference signal and processes the digital signal to determine the electrical characteristic(s) of the drive signal. In some examples, the processing module(s) adapts the reference signal based on detection of the other device (e.g., based on interpreting the electrical characteristic(s) of the drive signal).

Abstract: A system and method for defeating a Relay Station Attack on a hands-free anti-theft system of a vehicle. The hands-free anti-theft system includes a vehicle-mounted transceiver which transmits an authentication request and a hands-free key transceiver paired therewith which receives the authentication request and responds thereto by transmitting a reply signal causing the vehicle to unlock and/or start. A detector is provided having a receiver operating on the frequency at which the authentication request is transmitted, and a memory in which a known characteristic of the authentication request signal is stored. The key transceiver and the detector are located beyond an activation range of the authentication request. When the detector receives a signal, it compares a characteristic of a received signal with the known characteristic, and triggers an alarm signal if there is a match.
