Abstract: A system and method for the management of multiple digital assistants enabling the collection and analysis of voice commands and the selective instruction of the digital assistant having the most appropriate capability and/or connectivity to respond to the analyzed voice command. In a preferred embodiment the digital assistants are networked via a DAC. The controller serves to as a central node programmed to recognize the voice commands received by networked digital assistants and determine which assistant or assistants are best qualified to respond. This determination is a function of the command type, as well as the location and capabilities of each digital assistant. In addition, the system and method enhance the utility of the digital assistants, enabling a voice command received by a particular digital assistant to be acted upon by one or more digital assistants located outside of the audible range of the spoken voice command.

Abstract: A method, computer program, and computer system is provided for coding video data. Video data including a current picture and one or more other pictures is received. A first flag corresponding to whether the current picture is referenced by the one or more other pictures in a decoding order is checked. A second flag corresponding to whether the current picture is output; is checked. The video data is decoded based on values corresponding to the first flag and the second flag.

Abstract: Provided are a device and a method capable of efficiently performing a synthesis process of broadcast reception data and network reception data. Broadcast reception data received by a receiving device via a communication unit is set as a media source object corresponding to a processing object of an application executed by the receiving device under an application programming interface (API). The application executes a synthesis process of the broadcast reception data and network reception data received via a network as processing for the media source object. The application obtains a time offset corresponding to a time difference between an application time axis and a broadcast time axis on the basis of an API application process to execute a high-accuracy and low-delay data synthesis process.

Abstract: A communications hub providing a repository of vehicle crash information communicated by a mobile communications device and of vehicle crash data records provided by crash event servicers, in a crash detection, response and reporting system that determines a possible crash event by periodically evaluating (a) changes in a motion signal and (b) crash sound indicators of one or more of (i) motor vehicle glass breakage, (ii) metal folding, (iii) contact thud, and (iv) tires screeching, and upon a failure to respond within a predetermined period to a notice of possible crash event, communicating an identifier and crash incident information to a dispatch center as first notice of loss for dispatching a response servicer and maintaining the repository to facilitate resolution of the claims arising from the vehicle crash event.

In one aspect, a method includes the action of accessing voice query log data that includes voice queries spoken by a particular user. The actions further include based on the voice query log data that includes voice queries spoken by a particular user, determining a pause threshold from the voice query log data that includes voice queries spoken by the particular user. The actions further include receiving, from the particular user, an utterance. The actions further include determining that the particular user has stopped speaking for at least a period of time equal to the pause threshold. The actions further include based on determining that the particular user has stopped speaking for at least a period of time equal to the pause threshold, processing the utterance as a voice query.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide a method and an apparatus including processing circuitry for video decoding. The processing circuitry is configured to decode coding information for a current block of a current picture. The coding information can indicate a coding mode for the current block being one of: an intra block copy (IBC) mode and a string copy mode. The processing circuitry is configured to determine current vector information for a current unit of samples in the current block based on the coding mode for the current block and a history buffer. The history buffer can be configured to store vector information of at least a block previously decoded in the IBC mode and a string previously decoded in the string copy mode. The processing circuitry is configured to reconstruct the current unit of samples based on the current vector information.

The method further includes extracting, from the data, training data. The method further includes calculating a difference in input data and a difference in response data of the training data. The method further includes determining a first plurality of geographic pairs. The method further includes extracting, from the data, evaluation data. The method further includes separating each geographic pair of the first plurality of geographic pairs into a treatment region or a control region for a plurality of simulations of a plurality of different simulation subsets for each of a plurality of different subsets of geographic pairs. The method further includes calculating a plurality of uncertainty estimates. The method further includes selecting a first subset of geographic pairs and providing the selected subset of geographic pairs.

Abstract: This invention relates generally to water-insoluble but water-swellable and deformable crosslinked PEGylated microgel particles of proteins and protein-based macromolecules that are pseudoplastic (shear thinning) and flow in aqueous media under shear and which can be injected or made to flow, wherein said microgel particles can reform as a cluster of microgel particles when shearing forces are removed. The microgel particles function as a matrix to support cell growth, viability, and proliferation.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a binocular/tripod adapter to releasably couple a binocular lens barrel to a photographic-type tripod. The system provides an offset mount to assist in centering the binocular assembly over the tripod. The system is hinged at the halfway point, thus allowing the device to be located centrally on the binoculars. The system does not require the binoculars to be modified from its original state.

Abstract: An apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. In some examples, processing circuitry determines a parameter based on prediction information decoded from a coded video bitstream. The parameter is in a range that depends on a flag indicative of an enabler disable status of subblock based temporal motion vector prediction. Then, the processing circuitry calculates the maximum number of candidates in the subblock based merge candidate lists based on the parameter, and reconstructs, m response to a current block in a subblock based prediction mode, samples of the current block based on a candidate selection from a constructed subblock based merge candidate list of the current block. The constructed subblock based merge candidate list of the current block is constrained by the maximum number.

Abstract: A protective sheath for a bronchoscope is provided, comprising a flexible and collapsible sleeve having a first open end and a second open end; wherein the first open end includes a first resilient member adapted to sealably connect to a bronchoscope control unit; and wherein the second open end includes a second resilient member adapted to sealably connect to an adapter device for receiving the bronchoscope. The sleeve is constructed from a nonpermeable, collapsible, and food grade plastic. A suction port is preferably attached to the sleeve adapted to fluidically remove air and fluids from the sleeve during the bronchoscopy procedure.

The evenly spaced parallel lines are parallel in a transverse direction of the fixed medium, and the intermediate parallel line is approximately located at a middle point of the fixed medium in a longitudinal direction of the fixed medium.

The apparatus comprises a device for flowing produced water wellbore from a wellbore to the produced water purification apparatus; at least one device to remove heavy metals from the produced water; at least one brine removal device to remove brine from the produced water. The method comprises steps to use the apparatus and the system comprises a control panel that operates the at least one device for removing heavy metals and at least one sensor in a coordinated manner.

Abstract: A method of altering propulsor output when powering an electronic aircraft includes calculating a power demand of each propulsor of the plurality of propulsors for at least a future phase of flight, wherein each propulsor is powered by an electrical energy source of a plurality of electrical energy sources. The method includes measuring an electrical parameter of each energy source, calculating a power-production capability of each energy source as a function of the electrical parameter. The method includes identifying at least a compromised energy source of the plurality of energy sources, notifying, by a notification unit, a user of the at least a compromised energy source, and adjusting, as a function of the user notification, the power output from the plurality of energy sources to the plurality of propulsors for a current phase of flight as a function of the power-production capability and the power demand.
