Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus including an operation detection unit configured to detect a user's operation, and a display control unit configured to display content in a part including a middle of a display screen and display thumbnails corresponding to content belonging to one category in one direction along one side of the display screen in a region located separately from the middle of the display screen. The display control unit moves the displayed thumbnails in a vertical direction with respect to the one direction according to an operation which is detected by the operation detection unit and is an operation of switching the one category to which the content corresponding to the displayed thumbnails belongs.

Abstract: In some embodiments, techniques are provided for analyzing the manufacturability or fabricability of objects based on segmented designs. In some embodiments, a scanning device scans a manufacturing device and/or an object manufactured by the manufacturing device to characterize a manufacturing capability of the manufacturing device. A paintbrush pattern may be determined based on the characterization, and a proposed design may be determined to be fabricable or non-fabricable using the paintbrush pattern.

Abstract: Document tags are rapidly indexed using a text based index and a graph index. A tag signal is received. A tag and a type of the tag that are located in the tag signal are stored in a data store. The tag is indexed as a tag document in the text based index. One or more relationships between the tag and a content document are managed in the graph index.

Abstract: Various embodiments described in this disclosure relate to methods and computer-based systems that implement those methods for converting tasks performed as part of a procedure into dynamic procedure tasks. Such dynamic procedure tasks may be used by computer-based procedure solutions to create highly dynamic computer-based procedures.

Abstract: Methods and systems for processing telemetry data that contains multiple data types is disclosed. Optimum multimodal encoding approaches can be used which can achieve data-specific compression performance for heterogeneous datasets by distinguishing data types and their characteristics at real-time and applying most effective compression method to a given data type. Using an optimum encoding diagram for heterogeneous data, a data classification algorithm classifies input data blocks into predefined categories, such as Unicode, telemetry, RCS and IR for telemetry datasets, and a class of unknown which includes non-studied data types, and then assigns them into corresponding compression models.

The SMF sends to the wireless device, a PDU session establishment accept message comprising the identifier of the first local proxy application server.

Disclosed systems and methods include software that brings together computer vision and machine learning algorithms to track the interaction of vehicles and equipment within the environment of a carwash to improve safety and optimize production.

Abstract: An automated wash rig is disclosed for cleaning the interior of a freight container. The wash rig may be transported atop a mobile platform or carriage and inserted into the interior of the freight container. During the cleaning process, the wash rig may travel along the length of the floor of the freight container. Washers (e.g., spray nozzles) on the wash rig may be used to direct cleaning fluid at the surfaces of the interior of the freight container, while dryers (e.g., air knives) on the wash rig may be used to dry off those surfaces. As the wash rig traverses the entire length of the freight container, the entire interior of the freight container is washed and dried. The wash rig may also have ultraviolet (UV) lamps which can provide UV light to sanitize the interior of the freight container during this process.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises at least one processing device configured to maintain a metadata update journal for at least a first storage node of a plurality of storage nodes of a distributed storage system, and to destage the metadata update journal of the first storage node to one or more storage devices accessible to the first storage node. The metadata update journal of the first storage node utilizes a multi-level bucket aggregation of metadata updates in which metadata pages each comprising a plurality of address-to-hash mapping pairs are arranged in a plurality of first-level buckets containing respective subsets of the metadata pages for respective different logical storage volumes, and a plurality of second-level buckets are each configured to aggregate multiple metadata pages from different ones of the first-level buckets in order to increase a number of metadata updates in each second-level bucket relative to numbers of metadata updates in its corresponding first-level buckets.

Abstract: A golf ball remover allows easy removal of a golf ball from a golf hole while the flagstick is left in place, thereby sparing physical strain on the golfer and potential damage to the hole. The golf ball remover may user the flagstick itself as a movement guide, with a ball grabbing component that is not kept within the hole, but instead is stored above the hole on the flagstick and is pushed down into the hole when used. The golf ball remover may be attached to a retractable cord and/or other movement component to automatically lift it out of the hole.

Abstract: An exemplary roofing system for covering an existing shingle roof with an exposure height measured between bottom edges of adjacent courses is disclosed. The roofing shingle system comprising includes a plurality of reroofing shingles. The reroofing shingles have an exposure portion extending from a top edge to a bottom edge for a height that is at least the exposure height of the existing shingle roof. At least one course of reroofing shingles is installed on at least one course of the existing shingle roof, wherein the course of the existing roof is covered by the at least one course of reroofing shingles. The top edge of the reroofing shingles abuts the bottom edge of the adjacent course of existing shingles.

Abstract: A method for sharing read access to a document stored on memory hardware. The method includes receiving a shared read access command from a sharor sharing read access to a sharee for a document stored on memory hardware in communication with the data processing hardware, and receiving a shared read access request from the sharee. The shared read access command includes an encrypted value and a first cryptographic share value based on a write key, a read key, a document identifier, and a sharee identifier. The method also includes multiplying the first and second cryptographic share values to determine a cryptographic read access value. The cryptographic read access value authorizes read access to the sharee for the document. The method also includes storing a read access token for the sharee including the cryptographic read access value and the encrypted value in a user read set of the memory hardware.

Abstract: A storage vessel includes a plurality of storage cells arranged in series. The storage vessel defines a first port that opens into at least one of the storage cells. A fill conduit is connected to the storage vessel at the port. A valve is connected with the fill conduit and is configured to control a supply of fluid through the fill conduit to fill the storage vessel. A heat sink is disposed in the storage vessel and is configured to reduce heat of the fluid during the fill of the storage vessel.

Abstract: Hot surface igniter assemblies used in cooktops are shown and described. The hot surface igniters include a silicon nitride ceramic body with an embedded, resistive, heat-generating circuit. When energized, the circuit generates temperatures in excess of 2000° F. in under 4 seconds to ignite cooking gas such as natural gas. To prevent damage to the igniter during use or cleaning, an insulator assembly is provided which protects the distal end of the igniter ceramic body from damage while still exposing it to the cooking gas flow from the burner. In addition, a number of different terminal connection schemes for connecting the igniters to a power source are shown and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for predicting locations of utility assets. One of the methods includes receiving an input image of an area in a first geographical region; generating, from the input image and using a generative adversarial network, a corresponding reference image; and generating, by an object detection model and from the reference image, an output that identifies respective locations of one or more utility assets with reference to the input image.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes generating a plurality of spatial points based on depth measurements of physical objects within a physical space surrounding a user and determining, based on the spatial points, a location at which a physical object is likely to exist. The method then renders, based on the location of the physical object, a virtual space representing the physical space. This virtual space may include a virtual object representing the physical object. The method displays the virtual space to the user, and, while displaying the virtual space, receives input from the user indicating a boundary of a subspace within the virtual space, and detects that at least a portion of the virtual object is within the subspace. Finally, the method updates the virtual space to indicate that the portion of the virtual object is within the subspace.
