    Abstract: Hot restart of a hypervisor by replacing a running first hypervisor by a second hypervisor with minimally perceptible downtime to guest partitions. A first hypervisor is executed on a computing system. The first hypervisor is configured to create one or more guest partitions. During the hot restart, a service partition is generated and initialized with a second hypervisor. At least a portion of runtime state of the first hypervisor is migrated and synchronized to the second hypervisor using inverse hypercalls. After the synchronization, the second hypervisor is devirtualized from the service partition to replace the first hypervisor. Devirtualizing includes transferring control of hardware resources from the first hypervisor to the second hypervisor, using the previously migrated and synchronized runtime state.

Embodiments include inputting an LR image and the latent variable into an embodiment of an invertible rescaling network (IRNN) in an inverse upscaling direction of the IRNN to generate an output SR image that comprises accuracy and perception qualities conditioned by the input trade-off parameter. In one or more embodiments, a trained IRNN uses a trade-off parameter that indicates a desired trade-off between whether the trained IRNN generates an SR image having lower distortion or higher perceptual quality.

An embodiment operates by receiving an initial image of a document and identifying a first imperfection on a feature of the document. Thereafter, the feature of the initial image is segmented into a first and second partially overlapping segment corresponding to a first and second portion of the feature, respectively. Subsequently, the feature's first portion is determined to be free from the first imperfection, and the first imperfection is identified in the feature's second segment. After receiving a second image of the document including the feature's second portion, the feature's second portion in the second image is determined to be free from a second imperfection. As a result, an image of the feature is created based on the first and second portions of the feature derived from the initial and second images, respectively.

    Abstract: Systems and processes herein improve the conversion of propylene to ethylene via metathesis. On a mass basis, embodiments herein may be used to convert greater than 40% propylene, on a mass basis, to ethylene, such as 43% to 75%, on a mass basis. In one aspect, processes for the conversion of propylene to ethylene herein may include introducing a propylene feed stream to a metathesis reactor, and contacting the propylene with a metathesis catalyst in the metathesis reactor to convert the propylene to ethylene and 2-butene. An effluent from the metathesis reactor may be recovered, the effluent including ethylene, 2-butene, and unconverted propylene. The effluent may then be separated in a fractionation system to recover an ethylene fraction, a propylene fraction, a c4 fraction, and a C5+ fraction. The propylene fraction and the C4 fraction may then be fed to the metathesis reactor to produce additional ethylene.
